Selene~
A crack sounded in the air the moment she twisted. My brain registered it way before my body did, and for a second, I couldn't make a sound.
But when the pain hit, a guttural, shrieking yelp came out of me. I collapsed on the floor, bringing my knees to my chest as the woman let go of it. The pain was unbearable and I squeezed my eyes shut, hoping it would somehow shut out the pain but it didn't.
I didn't even have time to collect myself when I felt a kick in my ribs. I tried to crawl away but she grabbed my hair again and threw me to the floor. My breathing was ragged, my back was on the floor as I watched her kneel on my stomach, making me gurgle a little.
Silent tears streaked down my face as I lay there, waiting for her to decide how she wanted to hurt me. She grabbed my hair once more, pulling me towards her, then she slammed it into the floor. Again and again and again.
