"No. That's not what I meant."
"Then what?!" Her voice shook through the air, making Selina subtly shrink.
"It'll only damage that area if you don't treat it quickly."
"I'm dead!" Clarissa exclaimed, already darting out of the kitchen. "To the clinic. I have to go now. No—no—I can't die like this!"
Selina's body tensed, knowing she would be exposed if Clarissa went there.
"Wait, Clarissa! You don't have to go to the hospital."
"What will I do then?" Clarissa glanced at her flushed palm. "I can't bear it."
"Before you reach the clinic, it'll only get worse. Do it at home. Wash it gently, apply ointment, and keep it cool for at least twenty minutes."
"It won't ruin my flawless skin, will it?"
"Let's try this first. It should at least reduce the pain. As for the effects…"
Clarissa couldn't endure it any longer. She rushed toward her bedroom, while Selina watched her disappear with a glint of mischief in her eyes.
Clarissa's frantic footsteps thundered up the polished stairs.
