What was a man doing here? Was he an employee, or someone else entirely? Where was Annabelle? Why hadn't she returned yet?
Her thoughts spiraled as she took a cautious step back.
"Do you need help?" the man continued. "Looks like the door's broken."
"I don't need—"
Before Selina could finish, a loud bang struck the door. She gasped as it shook violently. Another blow followed, then another, until the door finally swung open.
