"Will you ignore your child just as you neglected her? You won't just sit by and do nothing, will you?" Noah pressed suggestively.
Zane turned his head over his shoulder slightly. "I won't let her carry my child no matter what. She's unfit for that," he declared, his words unwavering as if he had sealed the fate of their marriage.
Noah's jaw dropped at his cold-hearted friend. He couldn't read Zane's thoughts, but understood Zane's reasons for rejecting the family idea with Selina.
"If so, why are you possessive of a woman you claim not to love?" Noah muttered under his breath. "Don't you dare disrupt Selina's life. I won't let you."
Zane ignored him, ascending the stairs.
The irritation creeping on him felt like a ticking bomb.
Once he reached the landing, he attempted to walk away. But seeing how tight Selina's door was shut firmly felt amiss.
