Chapter 137 - The Highest Authority (Bonus)

"This gentleman, may I ask who you are?"

The leading woman, who looked valiant and heroic, seemed to be the captain among these bodyguards. She politely inquired of Yuki.

Not many people knew their company CEO's title. In her view, a man who knew this definitely wasn't an ordinary person.

"Me? I'm Yuki."

"Even if I say my name, you probably won't recognize it. I doubt Ellen has mentioned me to you."

The corner of Yuki's mouth lifted slightly as he revealed a calm smile.

Upon hearing Yuki give his name, the other woman searched her memory but indeed couldn't recall any information related to this name.

"However, if I show you this, you should understand my identity."

Yuki then took out something like a badge from his pocket.

The badge had a gilded finish, featuring an infinity symbol with four tiny stars dotted around it.

This badge was the identity credential for Infinity Company, held only by Ellen, Karen, Tiayu, and the other women in Yuki's life.

It was absolutely the highest-level identification credential within the company.

Every employee of Infinity Company knew this badge.

Ellen had given it to Yuki last night.

She had informed him that the company would always belong to him. If he wished, he could return the position of CEO to him at any time.

To this, Yuki did not accept. He preferred to maintain the status quo, letting Ellen and the others manage the company.

After all, he never liked managing such things. Now that he had transmigrated, why would he want a nine-to-five office job?

Rather than working, he preferred to spend his time at school with these beautiful young ladies; occasionally traveling to other worlds for fun, living freely and easily.

Even the companies he had acquired back then, he basically didn't participate in their management. This was enough to show that Yuki wasn't particularly invested in these matters.

Seeing that Yuki had no interest in running or managing the company, Ellen had no choice but to drop the matter.

However, she still gave the badge to Yuki and reserved a position for him.

Since Infinity Company's operations were extensive and this badge served as an identity credential... Yuki holding it would make many daily affairs much more convenient.

To this, Yuki didn't decline and gladly accepted.

Now, at this moment, it came in handy.

So, Yuki naturally took out this badge to prove his identity.

Sure enough, the moment the four women saw the badge, their faces immediately showed surprise. They quickly reacted, respectfully bowing to Yuki.

"Please forgive our rudeness, Yuki-sama."

All four wore serious expressions, saluting Yuki with the utmost respect.

Yuki smiled slightly, then put the badge away.

"It seems you recognize this item."

A faint smile appeared on Yuki's face as he looked at the four whose attitude had transformed into one of deep respect.

"Yes, this is the badge identifier reserved only for the highest levels of the company."

"Every one of us, from top to bottom, has memorized this identifier."

The other party responded earnestly, neither subservient nor arrogant.

"Aren't you going to verify it? Aren't you afraid this might be a fake?"

Yuki gave a nod of approval for the four's professionalism, then asked with a light laugh.

"No!"

"Because in this world, there is no one who would dare to counterfeit this item."

The lead bodyguard captain stated seriously.

Yuki gave a slight nod, said nothing more, and directly stated his purpose.

"I'm here to see Miku."

"We arranged to meet today."

"I understand."

"However, may I please check with Ms. Izayoi first?"

Upon hearing Yuki say he was here to see their employer, the other party inquired.

Yuki nodded, indicating it was fine.

As hired bodyguards, when a visitor comes to see their employer, they naturally need to check with the employer first for confirmation. This was purely due to professional standards, not any other reason.

Yuki understood and even approved of this practice.

It was precisely because of their high level of professionalism that Miku could avoid many unnecessary troubles. Otherwise, given her level of fame, if fans swarmed her in droves, it would be incredibly annoying.

The mature female bodyguard captain used the communication device by her ear to contact Miku directly.

After receiving confirmation, she allowed Yuki to pass.

She also offered a final apology to Yuki, hoping for forgiveness from someone of his high standing within the company.

Yuki naturally didn't blame her and instead gave them considerable praise. He also encouraged them to maintain this level of professionalism in the future.

Before leaving, Yuki also asked about their direct superior.

The answer was a name familiar to Yuki: Artemisia Bell Ashcroft.

Hearing this name, Yuki recalled this young woman's storyline from the original work.

In the original, she was the top ace of the British SSS (Special Air Service) Anti-Spirit Team. She was a Wizard created through later modifications.

Her personality was gentle, a top student loved by everyone.

However, her excessive excellence and brilliance also provoked jealousy in others.

She was framed by the second-in-command of her unit, Minerva Liddell, who stole the information from her brain to use as the core for a new type of Realizer unit. Her brain was left in a state of near-death.

After waking up, seeking revenge, she later joined DEM Industries.

However, after joining DEM, she was brainwashed by Isaac Westcott, losing her previous memories and becoming a tool for him to hunt Spirits.

Although an artificial Wizard, her strength was extremely formidable, even comparable to Ellen, the world's strongest Wizard.

But now, circumstances had changed. Spirits hadn't caused disasters, and she hadn't joined any Anti-Spirit Team.

Instead, she had been recruited into Ellen's company and trained there.

This was significantly better than her original fate, by far.

'That's what I think,' Yuki mused. 'At least she didn't have to experience brain death or brainwashing.'

After pondering for a moment, Yuki stopped dwelling on it. Passing through the corridor bustling with busy staff, he headed straight for Miku's waiting room.

Two minutes later, Yuki stood before a door.

Just as Yuki reached out to knock, the door opened automatically.

The door gently swung open, revealing an elegant and captivating figure.

A brilliant smile adorned Miku's face. She quickly extended her slender hand, clad in a pure white lace-edged glove, and directly took Yuki's hand, pulling him into the waiting room.

Thud!

A crisp sound of the door closing echoed through the room.

What greeted Yuki first wasn't Miku's enthusiastic greeting.

Instead, it was an intense, passionate kiss.

Only when she was almost breathless did Miku finally release him.

"I finally get to see you! Darling!"

Miku's eyes now shimmered like autumn water, gazing at Yuki with deep affection.

Her cheeks were slightly flushed, pink and charming.

"Same here, Miku."

Yuki smiled gently, reaching out to ruffle Miku's smooth purple hair, comforting the girl who had waited so long to meet him.

It was clear she had been looking forward to this day for a very long time. Otherwise, she wouldn't have skipped any greeting and gone straight for a direct kiss.
