Chapter 92 - The One Above All — Thanos

Galacta: "Mr. Yuki, please, you have to help me! Something's happened to my dad!!!" @Nearly Omnipotent

Galacta's message immediately drew the attention of all the group members.

Seitenshi: "What's going on, Miss Galacta?"

Saeko: "Galacta's father is in trouble? This must be serious!"

Everyone quickly sensed the gravity of the situation.

Yuki, who had just finished class and was on his lunch break, was about to head out for lunch with Tobiichi Origami and Kitagawa Marin. But upon receiving Galacta's urgent message, he replied.

Yuki: "Don't panic, Galacta. Tell us exactly what happened."

In the Marvel Universe, Galactus, though often used as a stepping stone by others, held a position of undeniable importance. Like abstract entities such as the Living Tribunal, Eternity, Infinity, Order, and Death, Galactus represented a fundamental cosmic concept: Balance.

His death would shatter that balance, potentially leading to the collapse of the multiverse. In the main universe, when Galactus once died, it freed the entity known as the Devourer of Worlds' opposite: Abraxas, the personification of destruction, whose release would bring ruin to the multiverse. Galactus was the lock that kept Abraxas sealed. Thus, Eternity placed a Galactus in every universe of the multiverse to maintain that seal.

Of course, that was just one facet of his role. Even without Abraxas, Galactus was an indispensable part of the cosmic order. His relationship with Eternity was akin to that of brothers and guardian.

If, as Galacta said, the primary Galactus was facing a mortal crisis, then Eternity himself likely wouldn't stand idly by.

Galacta: "I don't know exactly what happened, but from the mission description, it's related to that Mad Titan!"

Galacta was visibly frantic. She even entered a state of universal awareness, allowing near-infinite knowledge and information to flood her mind. She struggled to find a single, specific "molecule of water" within the tsunami of data that threatened to overwhelm her.

She didn't forget to post the mission details for the group to see.

[MISSION: Cosmic Upheaval! The master of the omniverse has changed. Father has been consumed. After the Mad Titan Thanos ascends to the supreme position, his nihilistic ideology will bring catastrophic disaster to the cosmos. Find a way to stop Thanos, who has become the One-Above-All, and save your father.]

[Reward upon completion: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Points, Ten Super-God Tier Lottery Draws.]

Seitenshi: "This... this reward is insane!"

Artemis: "Ahhh! Am I seeing things? Thirty zeros in the points reward?!"

Saeko: "You're not seeing things. It's real. And ten Super-God Tier draws!"

Raiden: "One Super-God Tier draw is enough to make someone unstoppable. But ten... that's unbelievable!"

Yuki: "That's because the opponent in this mission is incredibly powerful."

After reading the mission description, Yuki understood the situation. He stroked his chin, thinking.

The One-Above-All Thanos... isn't that the Thanos who obtained the Reality Gem? In that version, he arguably becomes the most powerful Thanos ever. He used the Reality Gem's power to consume entities like Death, Galactus, Love, Hate, Order, Chaos, the Stranger, Kronos, and the Infinity Stones. Later, he went on to consume abstracts like Eternity, Infinity, and even Adam as the Living Tribunal... ultimately facing AAO, he instantly obliterated and absorbed him, replacing AAO as the new master of the omniverse, ruling over the entire Marvel cosmos.

This storyline, however, caused quite a stir at the time. Since it was created by a writer who had left Marvel, it was never officially recognized by the company. The supreme entity representing the Marvel universe, originally OAA, was altered to AAO here. Consequently, this Reality Gem-wielding version of Thanos was seldom included in the mainline canon.

But now, within the Marvel universe, the One-Above-All Thanos had appeared and successfully usurped the throne. This meant that this version of Thanos was acknowledged by the multiverse—he existed, and these events had truly occurred.

Thinking this, Yuki's mind began to stir. It was perfect timing. He had just acquired the "I Grow Stronger" ability and was looking for an opportunity to test it. Wasn't this the chance he needed?

A Thanos who had become the new OAA would undoubtedly be stronger than him. All he needed to do was stand before Thanos, and his power would increase. He didn't even need to imagine an opponent.

Galacta: "Mr. Yuki, I know! If you help, I'll give you all the points, every last bit!"

Seeing Yuki hadn't responded, Galacta anxiously sent another message.

Yuki: "Alright."

Naturally, Yuki wouldn't refuse. He agreed decisively.

He then excused himself from Tobiichi Origami and Kitagawa Marin, citing an urgent matter to attend to.

Watching Yuki leave, Kitagawa Marin's face showed a hint of disappointment.

"Tobiichi-san, do you know what kind of urgent matter Yuki-kun is dealing with?" Marin asked the girl beside her, thinking Origami, who seemed close to Yuki, might know.

"He might be going to save the world... some world or another..." Origami turned her head, thought for a moment, and slowly replied.

"Uh... Tobiichi-san, you're so funny. Yuki-kun is just a regular... well, a very handsome first-year high school student. He doesn't have responsibilities like that!"

Marin's words were ignored by Origami.

"What you see is merely the surface," Origami said impassively. "Just like everything in this world, what you perceive is only superficial. To understand the truth, you must observe carefully to discover what's different."

Having said that, Origami walked away without looking back, leaving a bewildered Marin behind.

When Marin snapped back to reality, she hurried after her.

"Nobody understands what you're saying! Tobiichi-san, could you explain? Hey! Don't walk so fast! Wait for me!!!"

Meanwhile, Yuki spent 1,000 Points and instantly crossed over to the Marvel universe.

Galacta, who had just received Yuki's message and was preparing to welcome him, suddenly saw a starry spatial portal materialize before her.

From within, a man of breathtaking beauty stepped out gracefully. He glanced at Galacta with a serene air and smiled.

"First time meeting you in person, Miss Galacta. I'm Yuki."

Only then did Galacta realize this incredibly handsome man was actually the omniversal-level powerhouse from the group chat. Though he was tall and his features were flawless, the uniform he wore was unmistakably a school uniform.

It suddenly dawned on Galacta: this mighty being was... still just a student.
