Chapter 85 - The Lunchtime Rivalry

Along the way, the two chatted normally and returned to the classroom. After returning, Yuki and Eriri quickly became the focus of attention.

Kitagawa Marin and Tobiichi Origami surrounded Yuki, asking about what happened in the office. They cared about Yuki, asking if Kirisu Mafuyu had given him a hard time. Yuki couldn't help but chuckle at their questions. Kirisu Mafuyu was a teacher; why would she give students a hard time? It was purely the two of them being overly worried and thinking too much.

Yuki then recounted the office incident to them, and only after hearing it did they relax a bit.

As for Eriri's side, when she returned to her seat and turned her head, seeing Yuki surrounded by two of the class's great beauties, she suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of urgency and unease.

An unprecedented emotion welled up from the depths of her heart. That feeling, accompanied by a sense of heartache, made Eriri instantly realize what this emotion was.

'This... this is jealousy?!'

'I'm jealous?! No... that's impossible! Why would I be jealous of Kitagawa-san and Tobiichi-san?!'

'Could it be that I... I have feelings for Yuki-kun...'

Eriri's expression instantly became surprised and complicated. As a doujinshi artist, her inner emotional palette was very rich. So upon realizing her current emotions, she quickly understood what kind of emotion it was.

Now, she was one hundred percent certain she had indeed fallen for that handsome man who had caught her during the crisis this morning. Especially now, seeing him chatting with other women, this feeling became even more apparent.

At this moment, Eriri felt incredibly complicated emotions inside. Then, during the following class, Eriri was also distracted. It wasn't until the morning classes ended and lunch break arrived that she finally snapped back to reality.

"It's already lunch break..." Eriri murmured softly.

But when she turned to look for that figure, she couldn't find him, which made her feel a bit disappointed.

"Let's go, Sawamura-san, time for lunch at the cafeteria."

A companion's call made Eriri react.

"Okay."

Returning to her usual calm demeanor, she went with her companion towards the school cafeteria.

As for Yuki, he was dragged by Tobiichi Origami to a room similar to a storage room to eat his bento. Although the room wasn't in use, there wasn't a speck of dust inside; it looked often cleaned. So it was very suitable for eating lunch or resting during breaks.

And following Tobiichi Origami wasn't just Yuki. She also brought along Kitagawa Marin.

After class ended, Kitagawa Marin immediately invited Yuki to eat together. However, Tobiichi Origami refused on Yuki's behalf, saying he already had plans with her. But faced with this obstruction, Kitagawa Marin didn't get discouraged; instead, she proactively proposed joining. In the end, regardless of whether Tobiichi Origami agreed or not, she persistently followed them both and came here.

"The place Tobiichi-san found is pretty good!"

Kitagawa Marin found the place indeed acceptable. Because it was remote from the classrooms, it was very secluded and quiet. There was no need to worry about being disturbed by others. It was simply a holy land for couples to meet secretly.

From the environment, Kitagawa Marin analyzed Tobiichi Origami's intentions. She thought to herself: 'Tobiichi-san is indeed a formidable opponent with some tricks up her sleeve!'

Kitagawa Marin had completely identified Tobiichi Origami as her rival. And Tobiichi Origami had indeed chosen this place deliberately. After all, it was remote; no need to worry about others disturbing them, very convenient for Yuki to do something to her here, or for her to do something to Yuki.

However, with Kitagawa Marin now present, Tobiichi Origami had to tone it down considerably.

Looking at this place, Yuki associated it with the super tonics in today's bento. It could be said it was completely within Tobiichi Origami's plan. But clearly, although Tobiichi Origami's plan was good, Kitagawa Marin's unexpected appearance disrupted her plans.

So, Tobiichi Origami was also displeased with Kitagawa Marin at the moment.

During the subsequent meal, the two's words were laced with sharpness, tit for tat. Yuki didn't know how he managed to finish this lunch amidst their rivalry. After eating, he quickly excused himself to take a walk and escaped.

Yuki directly ran to the corner where Hitori Gotō often stayed.

"Yu... Yuki-kun?!"

Seeing Yuki's arrival, Hitori Gotō's face showed tension and pleasant surprise. She hadn't expected Yuki to come here again at noon today. She had thought yesterday was just a coincidental encounter and they might not meet again in the future, so this made her feel utterly unexpected.

"Oh, so you really are here, Hitori."

Yuki smiled and greeted Hitori Gotō. The latter nodded gently, then shifted slightly, clearing some space on a table piled up here. Yuki nodded and sat down beside her.

Thump thump—!

That was the sound of Hitori Gotō's own heartbeat, the loudest she'd ever heard, when Yuki sat down. Tension, excitement, joy, and other indescribable emotions spread in her heart. In her haste, her hand holding the guitar began to tremble slightly. Even the pick in her hand felt somewhat unsteady.

"Come on, Hitori. Just like yesterday, keep playing, and I'll guide you along the side." Yuki smiled gently at Hitori Gotō.

Seeing Yuki's smile, Hitori Gotō felt as if her entire soul was being sucked into him. But after snapping back to reality, she quickly lowered her head and started playing, trying to conceal the surging emotions in her heart.

Hitori Gotō took a deep breath, calmed her emotions, and then slowly began to play. Yuki then started guiding her as well.

However, halfway through, Hitori Gotō seemed to be playing a bit too hurriedly, so Yuki asked her to stop. He reached around from behind Hitori Gotō, covering her hands with his, and began teaching hands-on by demonstration.

At that moment, Hitori Gotō felt the warmth from behind and the strong masculine scent. Instantly, her heart felt like it was about to explode from beating so fast. Her entire face turned as red as fire. Every time Yuki spoke, accompanied by waves of warm breath, it continuously brushed against her ear, making Hitori Gotō's earlobes quickly become extremely red.

Her eyes seemed to see a whirlpool. Her whole mind felt as if a string had snapped, becoming somewhat dazed. She never expected Yuki would directly use his hands, teaching her so intimately like this. It made this socially anxious girl at a loss.

But soon, under the music played by Yuki's hands guiding hers, Hitori Gotō's mood quickly calmed, and she began seriously remembering Yuki's every word, remembering every inch of skin his fingers left on hers and each playing movement.

Hitori Gotō gradually mastered the techniques Yuki was teaching. She grasped the correct rhythm. After he let go of her, she could play the piece completely on her own, showing significant improvement compared to before. There were many more details in rhythm transitions, not as rushed and disorderly as before.

Feeling her own change, intense joy appeared on Hitori Gotō's face.

"I did it! Yuki-kun!"

"Mhm! Well done!"

Hitori Gotō said joyfully to Yuki, and Yuki smiled and nodded. Being able to grasp it so quickly showed that Hitori Gotō's talent was indeed high.
