Chapter 79 - Morning

The next day.

Early in the morning, Yuki was awakened by the little greedy cat beside him. When Yuki opened his eyes, he saw the undulating scenery and couldn't help but marvel at Kotori's "effort". She was really going all out to wake him up.

"Onii-chan, good morning!" Kotori smiled and greeted Yuki.

Yuki nodded gently, rubbed her head, and asked:

"Are you tired?"

"Maybe you should skip school today."

"I'll ask for leave for you."

"Mmm... I'm not tired," Kotori said with a sweet smile.

Although Kotori said that, Yuki still didn't let her go to school and had her rest at home for the day.

Leading Kotori downstairs to the living room, they soon saw the dining table already laden with breakfast. Kotori touched her stomach; she was indeed a bit hungry. Although she had been... injected with a lot, that stuff wasn't enough to make her feel full.

"Good morning, Mio-nee."

"And... Tobiichi Origami." Kotori greeted Mio and Tobiichi Origami.

Both responded simultaneously. Then, they sat down to eat breakfast.

Thanks to Yuki's efforts, Kotori wasn't causing a fuss anymore and naturally sat quietly to eat breakfast together. Mio noticed that Kotori's hair ribbon was now a combination of one black and one white, which surprised her somewhat. The two different ribbons represented Kotori's different personalities; now they were combined, which was quite interesting.

While eating breakfast, Kotori noticed Tobiichi Origami feeding Yuki. After thinking for a moment, she decided to imitate.

"Onii-chan, here, have some porridge!" Kotori scooped up some porridge with her own spoon and brought it to Yuki's mouth.

Yuki nodded, opened his mouth, and ate it.

Then, Tobiichi Origami, on Yuki's other side, poured a glass of milk and placed it in front of him.

"Yuki, drink some milk."

"You worked so hard last night; you should replenish yourself."

Looking at the milk Tobiichi Origami handed over, the corner of Yuki's mouth twitched slightly. He thought to himself: 'First porridge, now milk... a normal person would have diarrhea after eating this! Good thing my current strength isn't bothered by these things.'

"Ahem, it's fine, you two eat."

"I'll help myself!" Yuki quickly stopped the two from feeding him.

After breakfast, Yuki and Tobiichi Origami left for school. On the way, Tobiichi Origami, as usual, clung tightly to Yuki's arm, pressing close to him, unwilling to let go at all.

"I never expected to be left alone last night; it's really disappointing!" Tobiichi Origami's words carried a hint of implication as she spoke to Yuki.

"Sigh, Kotori needed me at that time."

"And now that you're living at home, Kotori didn't say anything, right!" Yuki smiled and rubbed Tobiichi Origami's head, comforting her.

"Well... that's true." Tobiichi Origami nodded in agreement.

Today, Kotori's hostility towards her had lessened considerably; she had indeed accepted her.

"You worked hard last night, Yuki." Tobiichi Origami looked up and said seriously to Yuki.

"So today, I've prepared some supplements for you in your bento!"

Hearing this, Yuki's eyebrow twitched violently. 'Good grief, she actually added something extra without me noticing?'

'And in my bento?!'

Yuki immediately looked at the bento and quickly saw the... ecosystem inside. 'Damn! Aside from one normal dish, the rest are all extreme tonics.'

"Uh... Origami, I really don't think I need to supplement with these!"

"Really!" Yuki emphasized again.

"Alright." Tobiichi Origami could only nod gently.

After the two had walked for a while, they soon ran into an acquaintance. Kitagawa Marin, surrounded by four girls, chatting and laughing as they walked, came into Yuki and Tobiichi Origami's view.

Kitagawa Marin also noticed Yuki and immediately looked delighted. However, when she noticed Tobiichi Origami beside him, seeing how tightly she was holding his arm, she felt a bit melancholic and envious.

"You guys go ahead! I have something to do!" Leaving these words, Kitagawa Marin separated from the four girls beside her.

The four girls watched Kitagawa Marin run over to Yuki and couldn't help but look at each other.

"Kitagawa-san actually went to find Yuki-san!"

"I wonder if she'll succeed."

"Although Yuki-san is really handsome, he has Tobiichi-san with him."

"Speaking of which, Tobiichi-san and Yuki-san are way too close, right?"

"It is strange; Yuki-san only transferred here not long ago."

"Maybe they knew each other long before."

While these girls were speculating, Kitagawa Marin successfully managed to talk to Yuki again.

"Kitagawa-san, good morning." Yuki greeted her with a smile.

"Mhm mhm! Good morning, Yuki-san, and Tobiichi-san."

"Good morning." Tobiichi Origami responded calmly.

She was already used to Tobiichi Origami's responses. After all, that was just Tobiichi Origami's personality.

"I never expected to run into you on the way, Yuki-san. What a coincidence!" Kitagawa Marin said with a sweet smile.

"Hehe, indeed!"

"Since we've met, why don't we walk together!" Yuki smiled and invited Kitagawa Marin.

Hearing this, Kitagawa Marin's face showed immense surprise and joy.

"Okay!" She nodded heavily, then followed alongside Yuki on the road.

The few classmates of Kitagawa Marin who were watching from the side noticed she had successfully joined Yuki. Their expressions instantly became extremely surprised.

"Kitagawa-san actually succeeded!"

"Ah! So envious! If I went up, could I successfully chat with Yuki-san?"

"I don't think so. You're not as pretty as Kitagawa-san or Tobiichi-san."

On the way, with her cheerful and lively personality, Kitagawa Marin quickly started chatting with Yuki and the others. Seizing the right moment, Kitagawa Marin asked about Yuki's hobbies.

"Hobbies?"

"Actually, I have quite a few hobbies, like games, reading, etc." Yuki smiled and replied.

"My hobby is Yuki." Tobiichi Origami on the side also spoke up at this moment.

Hearing this, the corners of both Yuki and Kitagawa Marin's mouths twitched slightly. 'What kind of hobby is that?! It's just you liking him, right!' Kitagawa Marin didn't know where to even begin cursing.

"Then... does Yuki-san like things like manga or anime?" Kitagawa Marin then asked, pretending to be casual. But after she finished speaking, her heart instantly tightened. Her breathing became slightly rapid as she nervously waited for Yuki's answer.

"I do like them!" Yuki smiled knowingly and nodded, indicating that he did.

"Too... I mean, is that so!"

"Actually, I really like them too! For example..." Kitagawa Marin almost blurted out "too good," but she caught herself quickly and then started talking about some anime and manga she liked.

"I've seen all the ones Kitagawa-san mentioned. They're pretty good."

"Really? They are great works, right!" Kitagawa Marin felt a surge of joy inside. The question that had troubled her for a day had finally been answered today. This made the girl feel it was a good start.

"I like Thunder Fire Sword's beep— beep—!" Tobiichi Origami on the side listed a series of mosaic-covered works.

'She's asking about proper manga! Hey!'
