Silvan made his way back to Alessio's room as soon as King Vatore left. The Vampire was still curled up on the couch that they had both slept off on. Now that he was back, the fact that they had both slept right next to each other sank in.
He approached the couch and dropped to a crouch next to it to bring him eye to eye with Alessio. He had initially planned to take the Vampire Prince to bed, but not anymore. They needed to be on the road to Asten as soon as possible, so he had to rouse Alessio.
Despite the cushions around him, as well as the ones kicked to the ground, Alessio was sleeping without one. He had his hands tucked under his head instead as a makeshift pillow, his loose hair splayed out around him.
Silvan's expression softened as he watched him, loath to interrupt his sleep. He was spared rousing Alessio because the Vampire's eyes blinked open, gray eyes trusting as they looked up at him.
