Lydia Brooke's expression stiffened for a moment but quickly recovered, offering a gentle smile, "Beau Haston, sincerely thank you for all the help you've given me and my son over the years."
"Is it just gratitude, nothing else?" Beau Haston looked intently at Lydia Brooke.
Lydia Brooke looked back at Beau Haston, "You know I'm fully focused on my career right now."
"Okay," Beau Haston made a conceding gesture, "I've waited so many years, I don't mind waiting a bit longer. From the first time I saw you, when I said I would pursue you, I was serious. I'm saying it once again now. Lydia Brooke, I will keep chasing you until you agree."
"You know I have Derek, and I'm still busy with my career—Beau Haston, waiting for me may end up with nothing."
Beau Haston shook his head, "After all these years, you see how I handle things with Derek. If I cared about Derek's presence, I wouldn't pursue you. If I give up without waiting, I won't be content."
