Two top powerhouses of the sea—neither willing to yield, neither accepting defeat.
For both of them, to lose was unthinkable.
No more probing strikes, no more testing each other's strength.
This was now a fight to the death.
Who was stronger?
The Marine Admiral?
Or the madman from the Kamui Pirates?
No one could answer until the victor was decided.
Still, the Marines who watched all believed—Akainu will win. He has to win!
None of them believed Uchiha Madara had the ability to defeat their Admiral.
And then—
Boom!
The skies erupted with a deafening explosion. In the next instant, a figure covered in blood plummeted down from the heavens like a broken scarecrow.
At first, the Marines thought their eyes were deceiving them. But after rubbing their eyes in disbelief, they realized the truth. Their hearts froze.
Yes—
The one who had fallen… was Akainu!
The very man they had placed their hopes on had been crushed.
Akainu slammed into the deck of a warship, his body battered and frail.
His once-commanding presence was gone.
His face was pale—like a sheet of paper.
The Marine soldiers could hardly process what they were seeing. Their Admiral, their symbol of absolute justice, had been defeated by Kronos' man—by Uchiha Madara.
"This… this can't be real! It's impossible!"
"How could Admiral Akainu be defeated by a pirate?!"
A Marine Rear Admiral completely broke down, unable to believe his own eyes.
For him, Akainu had always been an idol—someone destined to lead the Marines into a new era, even after the Summit War. He had never lost faith.
But now, seeing his idol lying in defeat at the feet of a pirate, his spirit shattered.
And then—
With a chilling aura that seemed to freeze the air itself, a lone figure descended slowly onto the warship.
Hands folded calmly behind his back, face carved with disdain, Uchiha Madara looked down at Akainu as though he were nothing more than a beaten stray dog.
"I think you shouldn't be called Akainu anymore," Madara sneered, his cold voice laced with mockery. "From now on, call yourself the Mourning Dog. Hahaha!"
"The name Mourning Dog suits you perfectly, don't you think?"
His laughter cut like a blade, and every Marine who heard it trembled.
Akainu's face twisted in rage, though he could barely move.
"You… bastard… how dare you look down on me so much!"
But anger alone wasn't enough. His body was broken, his strength nearly gone.
Not only was fighting on impossible—he could barely remain standing.
Madara's smirk faded slightly. He shook his head with disappointment.
"Captain Kronos often spoke of you," Madara said coolly. "He told me how powerful you were… how fearsome your strength was…"
