Chapter 548: True Identity!
Listening to them talk, Ryuunosuke felt a brief flash of confusion.
If Roger had really vanished for decades, then he must have lived through something far beyond ordinary people's imagination.
"Ryuunosuke, if you are willing to help me…" Roger said, ignoring Roy completely. He looked straight at Ryuunosuke and raised the stone in his hand. "Then take it. This Infinity Stone."
"As for whatever you want to do after that, I will do my best to help."
His meaning was obvious.
Ryuunosuke was the key now.
If Roger could not win him over, then sooner or later he would have to face Ryuunosuke as an enemy.
And that was the one outcome Roger clearly did not want.
"Help?" Ryuunosuke repeated.
"Uncle Roger… I will call you Uncle for now."
"Tell me. What exactly can I do to help you?"
Right now, Ryuunosuke had no way of knowing what he was supposed to do next.
More importantly, this was tied to Lilith and Adam.
There was no chance he would compromise.
Those two were a threat Ryuunosuke could not allow to exist.
Adam's so called perfect world was, in essence, no different from destroying everything that made the world real.
And Lilith was cut from the same cloth.

Roger's eyes narrowed.
"Take the Spear of Longinus and banish Adam and Lilith."
"Or make them stay here forever."
When he finished, Roger's gaze immediately locked onto Adam, who stood off to the side.
Ryuunosuke's brows lifted slightly.
He could understand going after Adam.
After all, Adam had originally belonged to Lilith's camp, and yet he was already turning against Lilith like Roy had.
That made Ryuunosuke curious about Lilith herself.
What kind of existence could make her own apostles and followers grow rebellious?
"All right," Ryuunosuke said, voice steady. "Let us begin."
"This goal is the same as mine."
"At least in this matter, I will not become your obstacle, Uncle Roger."
Since Roger claimed banishing Adam and Lilith required killing them or sealing them, then there was a perfect test subject standing right in front of them.
Adam.
Adam gave a small sigh, almost disappointed.
"So Captain Ryuunosuke did not choose me in the end."
"Then… let us go."
As his words fell, a pair of brass knuckles appeared over his fists.
A blinding blood red six pointed star bloomed in his eyes.
In an instant, the entire island was drowned in Adam's pressure.
Ryuunosuke lifted a hand.
"The invisible realm."
A barrier rose around them, and at the same time he shifted away, maintaining a safe distance.
If Roger wanted to cooperate with him, then strength alone was not enough.

He needed to see where Roger's loyalty truly stood.
"What a pity," Adam said, voice calm and cold. "If Captain Ryuunosuke had become my subordinate, none of this would have happened."
"But since we have come this far, there is nothing to regret."

A dark aura wrapped around his hand as he lunged straight at Ryuunosuke.
Ryuunosuke did not move at all.
Puff.
In the next instant, Adam's strike pierced through Ryuunosuke's body.
But Adam did not look surprised.
Instead, his eyes flicked to the side, suspicion flashing.
"This place is sealed by my barrier," Adam said slowly. "How could you die that easily?"
"And Uncle Roger too."
Ryuunosuke's voice answered from elsewhere.
"So you have already sided with Adam?"
"At that speed, I do not believe you could not stop it."
Ryuunosuke was standing beside Merlin.
With Merlin's limitless magic, and Ryuunosuke's invisible realm, creating a phantom clone inside the barrier was effortless.
He had stood still on purpose.
He wanted to see how Roger would act.
Because Roger's timing was too perfect.
Adam's body had only fully formed for a little over ten minutes.
Then Roger arrived.
If Roger had not already known Adam had a physical body, then that coincidence was far too suspicious.
And Ryuunosuke was not the type to believe in coincidences.
Roger laughed.
"Hahaha…"
"As expected of Captain Ryuunosuke, captain of the Dragon Hunter Pirates."
"It seems tricks like that cannot fool you."
He lifted his chin, arrogance creeping into his smile.
"But do you think you have any chance of exposing something like this?"
"Roy?" Ryuunosuke turned his eyes to Roy, his expression full of doubt.
After appearing, Roy had done little beyond criticizing Roger.
Now, paired with Roger's words, Ryuunosuke's suspicion only deepened.
Roy's gaze dropped.
"I am sorry, Captain Ryuunosuke."
As Roy spoke, Imu appeared behind him.
Then Imu merged directly into Roy.
A terrifying presence surged through Roy's body, swelling his aura to a new height.
Ryuunosuke touched his chin, calm even now.
"I see."
"So you have boxed me in…"
If all of them attacked together, it would definitely be troublesome.
Of course, only troublesome.
"In that case," Ryuunosuke said, eyes sharpening, "let us fight."
A terrifying aura erupted from him.
At the same time, Merlin released an overwhelming wave of magic.
Space and time around Adam and Roy froze instantly.
Only Roger remained free.
"Captain, ten minutes," Merlin said confidently, her magic roaring around her.
It would take Adam and Roy at least ten minutes to break through her restriction.
Ten minutes was more than enough for Ryuunosuke.
Because the most important matter here was still the Eternal Heart Orange.
That was exactly why Merlin had chosen to trap Adam and Roy first.
Roger drew Ace from his waist and slashed at Ryuunosuke.
A terrifying black slash surged forward, like it was tearing space itself apart.
"God's avoidance?" Ryuunosuke twisted aside in an impossibly strange posture, letting the slash pass.
"Still using the same trick?"
"That is outdated, Uncle Roger."
He vanished, then appeared directly in front of Roger.
Boom.
A dragon roar burst out at point blank range, detonating with crushing force.
Now, any attack Ryuunosuke used was something no one could treat lightly.
When the explosion cleared, Roger's arm had been blown off.
But in the next moment, a stream of strange factors surged, repairing the severed limb instantly.
In fact, Roger's aura grew even stronger after being hit.
"Captain Ryuunosuke," Roger said, eyes burning, "the power Lilith left behind cannot be destroyed by the power of this world."
"Now, experience the despair of this world."
He charged again.
Speed, strength, agility, all pushed to the extreme.
Ryuunosuke handled it with ease.
But if this continued, once Adam and Roy broke free, the situation would become far less favorable.
Boom boom boom boom.
Their clash tore the island apart.
If not for the combined pressure of Ryuunosuke and Adam anchoring the space, the island would have already collapsed into the sea.
Even so, Ryuunosuke showed no panic.
If anything, he looked unnervingly calm.
Merlin, watching from the side, even looked like she wanted to pull out melon seeds and snack.
Sadly, the moment was not exactly snack friendly.
Ten minutes passed in a blink.

Adam and Roy shattered Merlin's frozen space and time and burst out.
The instant they reappeared, they locked onto Ryuunosuke.
Then they attacked at full speed.
Three terrifying forces surged in at once, their combined assault swallowing Ryuunosuke whole.
Ryuunosuke's eyes narrowed.
"That is enough."
"Full counterattack."
The twin blades in his hands released a power so violent it felt like the world itself was about to split.
In the next instant, the three of them were engulfed by a world ending force.
Inside that terrifying power, nothing could be seen.
Nothing could be sensed.
Only destruction.
