What were the odds of two beautiful older women hitting on a couple of guys who were fighting in a park at night?
As far as I was concerned, the chances were practically zero.
And yet, here we were.
"Hey, boys! We're conducting a survey for people with heightened emotions. Would you mind cooperating? We'll give you something nice if you just come with us for a little while. How about it? Let's go together, okay?"
"...Do you think children would actually fall for that?"
I stared at the women, unable to hide my disbelief.
Is this flirting or some kind of multi-level marketing scheme?
Honestly, both seemed equally plausible.
"What are we supposed to do if they don't fall for it? We just have to get this done."
The woman who had spoken shrugged before turning toward us. She flashed a charming smile, and a strange magical power accompanied it.
"Yes, that's right. Just look into my eyes."
