I lost.
The moment Ryan landed a clean hit, the pain was so overwhelming that I collapsed onto the ground.
Damn it. That hurts!
This was what happened when I relied solely on Reinforcement and fought Ryan hand-to-hand without using Ruyi or any of my other artifacts.
I had been fighting barehanded while he had a sword.
What a bully.
Still, it wasn't as though I had lost without accomplishing anything.
"…Wow, Rin. Your punches have gotten a lot stronger."
"Anyone listening to you would think you won."
I glared at him from the ground.
I'd managed to land two solid punches on his smug face. That alone made me feel considerably better.
Come to think of it, I'd only been hit once, whereas he'd taken at least ten punches.
Didn't that mean I had won?
Well, whatever. There was no point arguing about the results of a fight when I was the one lying on the ground.
Ryan offered me a hand, and I reluctantly accepted it.
"Hey, you know, right?"
"...Know what?"
