Chapter 324 - Chapter 324: Kizaru: I’m Not The Commander This Time

Perhaps it was the action of the Amaterasu (Celestial Sun) group that Carl belonged to.

The Phone Snail (Denden Mushi) on Carl's person suddenly rang. It was a call from Sabo, and Carl didn't even need to answer to understand that the Revolutionary Army had succeeded.

This was the signal Carl and Sabo had agreed upon.

Immediately, Carl dispersed the Thunder Pool, acting as if he no longer wished to fight.

"Mr. Carl, why did you stop? I just got back!" Luffy looked confused.

"There's no need to fight; they should be going back now. Besides, you've fought Kizaru before; there's no need to do it again." Carl didn't offer too much explanation, manipulating the electric sword on the door panel and floating to the side with Luffy.

Kizaru and Black Haki exchanged glances, unable to understand Carl's meaning.

However, they vaguely had a terrible feeling.

With the emergency in Mariejois, and Carl letting them go, they couldn't delay any longer. The two didn't bother to assemble the remaining warships but flew straight toward Mariejois.

"What the heck is going on?" Luffy still didn't understand.

"Because you're back, they don't want to fight anymore," Carl said casually.

"Is that really it?" Luffy couldn't quite believe it, but he wasn't one to overthink things and quickly dismissed the question.

Carl flew with the giant sword to the other battlefield. When they arrived, they saw their friends surrounding a small colorful area. It appeared Momousagi was the only one left on the Marine side.

Sentomaru was being stepped on by Sanji, while the remaining Marines and Army troops lay scattered on the ground.

The moment Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper returned, the victory was already in the hands of the Straw Hat Crew. Even if Momousagi couldn't be immediately defeated, she had no chance of winning.

Inside the colorful world, Marie controlled everything and was personally ushering the Tea Dolphin and "Gion" toward the marriage altar.

But Marie quickly noticed Carl and Luffy's return. A rare smile flashed on her face before quickly turning into a mischievous smirk.

Marie suddenly waved her paintbrush forward, and "Gion" instantly disappeared into nothingness.

Not only "Gion," but Sengoku, Garp, and the others attending the wedding all vanished one after another, as if the entire event had been a dream.

In the next second, the colorful world completely exploded, and Marie, Liji, and the Tea Dolphin all returned to the real world.

The Tea Dolphin froze on the spot. He had been about to embrace "Gion," but she disappeared, and everyone else vanished. He was back in the real world.

The truth was, he wasn't married to Momousagi!

Upon realizing the truth, the Tea Dolphin collapsed, kneeling on the ground, clutching his head, and crying bitterly.

This was a massive blow to the Tea Dolphin's psyche!

Franky, Chopper, and the others couldn't stand it and shouted at Marie, "Hey! Marie! Why did you ruin that uncle's dream! Why are you so heartless?!"

Sanji immediately sang a different tune, "Hey, hey! Don't forget the other side is the Marines, and Marie is our comrade! Besides, that Tea Pig is so ugly; how could he ever be worthy of Miss Gion? If anyone's going to get married to her, it should be me!"

"You perverted cook!"

The Straw Hat Crew complained in unison, clearly showing disdain for Sanji.

Marie took out a biscuit and began chewing it, stating with a blank expression, "I didn't do it on purpose. I ran out of power, so I had to stop. Besides, the Dream Rainbow world is fake anyway. Momousagi wouldn't like the Tea Dolphin. It's better to accept reality as soon as possible instead of continuing to live in an illusion."

The Tea Dolphin was hit even harder and became completely dejected.

Just then, Carl and Luffy landed on the battlefield atop the giant sword, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

With these two powerhouses present, they could relax. The battle was completely over; the Straw Hats had won!

"Straw Hat Luffy? Lightning Swordsman Carl? Why are you here? What about Admiral Kizaru?!" Momousagi had a terrible feeling.

"Oh, Mariejois was attacked. Kizaru and Black Haki left you behind and took off first," Carl explained casually.

"What?! Mariejois was attacked? Who is bold enough to do that?!" Momousagi looked disbelieving.

But now wasn't the time to doubt. Admiral Kizaru and Black Haki really seemed to have left; otherwise, how could Carl and Luffy be standing here?

Therefore, continuing the fight was pointless. The Straw Hats had won!

Momousagi and the Tea Dolphin lacked the ability to defeat the Double Emperors (Luffy and Carl), so retreating was their only option.

Fortunately, Luffy didn't make things difficult for them and allowed them to retreat calmly.

The Straw Hat Crew returned to the Shakky's Rip-Off Bar (Sabaody Archipelago), said goodbye to Rayleigh and Shakky, and then headed toward their coated ship. They were finally heading to Fish-Man Island!

Meanwhile, Black Haki and Kizaru rushed back to Mariejois at top speed.

However, what they found was a blaze, and the so-called Holy Land was in chaos.

Screams, shouts, curses, collapsing houses, and firefighting—it was a complete mess.

The two quickly located the leadership. Sengoku, Commander Kong, and other high-ranking officials were all looking solemnly at the gradually extinguishing flames around them, anger brewing in their eyes.

"Commander Kong, what's the situation now?" Black Haki asked anxiously.

"Why did you come back now!"

Kong couldn't help but shout, "The Revolutionary Army already got away! They raided the Celestial Dragons' vault, released almost all the slaves, killed many Celestial Dragons, and even rescued the tyrant Kuma! You tell me, why did you come back now? What were you all doing earlier!"

Black Haki felt his mind spinning.

He hadn't expected the situation to be so serious. The Celestial Dragons must be absolutely furious.

Kizaru argued, "Commander Kong, we were tricked by Carl this time. That guy Carl knew Admiral Black Haki and I were going to surround the Straw Hats, so he cooperated with the Revolutionary Army. He was responsible for holding us back, and the Revolutionary Army was in charge of attacking Mariejois. We were caught completely off guard and trapped, unable to get out!"

Kizaru then described the situation in detail, emphasizing that he was not the one in command this time.

His goal was clear: dump the responsibility!

Sengoku immediately spoke up for Kizaru, "Commander, don't blame Borsalino this time. That Carl is too cunning, and with Silvers Rayleigh (Dark King) around, it's understandable that Borsalino couldn't rush back for rescue immediately. Besides, Borsalino isn't the commander-in-chief; he can't make many of the decisions."

Kizaru gave Sengoku a look, silently thanking him for the help.

Sengoku glanced back at Kizaru and gave an angry snort.

If this deadbeat wasn't one of mine, I wouldn't bother speaking up for him!

Then, everyone turned to look at Black Haki.

In that moment, Black Haki finally understood. He had clearly brought this trouble upon himself by seizing the position of commander-in-chief before. Now, Kizaru had dumped all the blame directly onto him, taking revenge for Black Haki shirking responsibility during the Paramount War.
