When Autumn York called, Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher had just walked into a restaurant, and neither of them had had the chance to order yet.
Both of them were surprised and puzzled to receive Autumn York's call, as they had just spoken with her in the morning. They had a friendly conversation and lovingly planned to meet in the evening.
"Who missed you?" Autumn York retorted without hesitation.
Alice Turner was not affected by Autumn York's bad temper at all and kept smiling brightly, "Of course it was you, Mom, who missed me."
"I didn't call to listen to your banter. Be serious," Autumn York said in a very serious tone.
Because she couldn't see her mother-in-law, Alice Turner wasn't sure of her current state but felt from her tone that her mother-in-law probably had something to discuss with her.
"Mom! Whatever you want to talk to me about, just say it. I'm listening." No matter what it was, she needed to correct her attitude first.
