After leaving the hospital, Alexander Shaw drove himself back to the company and didn't go home with Isla Lane and Charlotte Shaw to get things.
Without his presence, the mother and daughter felt much more relaxed and at ease, whether talking or doing things, they felt incredibly free.
"Mom! Do you think Alice will remarry Benjamin?" Charlotte Shaw had been holding back this question the entire way, but because of her fear of her father's authority, she only dared to ask now.
"Maybe not before, but now she certainly will," Isla Lane said with utmost confidence, as if the matter was already set in stone.
Charlotte knew exactly where her mother's confidence came from; her brother risked his life to save his ex-wife today. Even if she wasn't moved, she must have been shocked.
