Alice Turner initially thought Thomas Fisher was joking with her, but seeing his expression wasn't at all joking, she was surprised, "Did you get beat a lot by your mom when you were a kid? You must've been quite naughty, right?"
He must have been quite mischievous when he was little, otherwise why would his mom always beat him?
"Not really."
Thomas Fisher was being very modest, so modest that even he felt a bit guilty. He sat properly in the driver's seat, eyes looking straight ahead, to cover his guilt.
Alice Turner leaned over to look at him, full of disbelief, "Not really? Why do you sound so unconvincing?"
Judging by how he looks now, it's easy to guess he was really mischievous as a child.
"Hehe! You guessed it, I was indeed quite naughty as a kid." Thomas Fisher tilted his head and gave Alice Turner a silly grin. After speaking, he started the engine, ready to drive away.
After hearing what he said, she summarized, "Then getting beaten was inevitable."
