------------

Fury stared blankly at Noah, while Steve, with a strange expression, scanned back and forth between Fury and Noah, as if he had discovered something interesting. Fury felt terrible right now. Why did he always encounter Noah when he was saying certain specific things? The most crucial thing was that when he was spewing nonsense, encountering this guy, the speed at which he was exposed was so fast that Fury was caught off guard!

Everyone knew about Fury's eye problem, but not many knew why it happened, because he himself was too embarrassed to say how he lost his eye. But Noah, this guy, knew, because he was a firsthand witness to the incident, and the guy who blinded Fury was currently playing hide-and-seek in this guy's Sanctum!

The scene immediately fell silent, leaving a completely bewildered Fury, who didn't know what to say, and an embarrassed Rogers. The others were either watching the show, simply didn't care, or were completely confused about what was happening.

"You're here, Noah?" After a long while, Fury finally managed to stabilize his emotions. God knows how many times he cursed Noah in his heart. Turning his head, he looked at Rogers. "Remember what I told you, there are some people you absolutely cannot trust casually."

"I understand. I'll try." Steve Rogers nodded. He glanced at Fury and then looked at Noah and the others. "Your Excellency, long time no see."

"Hello, Rogers," Noah smiled slightly. "Indeed, long time no see. How have you been lately?"

"Alright, but it still takes time to adapt to this era and this new world."

"Take it slow. After all, nothing can be achieved overnight." After a brief chat with Rogers, Rogers chose to leave the office. Coulson also had good judgment; he knew there was probably nothing for him to do now, so he said goodbye without hesitation.

Suddenly, only Noah and his three companions, along with a somewhat darkened Fury, remained in the spacious office.

"Damn it, you actually came at this time," seeing Rogers and Coulson leave, Fury finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"I didn't expect to arrive so coincidentally," Noah spread

his hands. "Just when you were bragging about your past experiences, especially when you were trying to falsify some things."

Fury rolled his eyes. Falsify some things? Damn it, who knew that being scratched by an orange cat would lead to such a situation? Well, that thing wasn't an orange cat; it was a Flerken named Goose, and it could actually cause irreversible damage? Fury himself didn't know what to say about this situation. According to him, he really trusted that little cat, and then... Shaking his head, Fury decided not to dwell on this issue anymore, because further discussion would only lead to him being speechless by Noah.

Sighing helplessly, Fury looked behind Noah, and then he himself paused. Fury knew Constantine; this guy, who always had a cigarette dangling from his mouth, participated in the Battle of New York. But why was there an older-looking guy this time? Could they be brothers? Fury was a bit confused, but he didn't ask immediately. Instead, he looked at Noah again, as this guy was the one in charge.

"Noah, what do you need me for this time?" Fury looked at Noah, closing the office door and many pieces of equipment.

"First, I want to ask about your situation," Noah found a seat directly. "Oh, by the way, what was going on with Rogers just now?"

"He had some doubts, but I haven't decided to tell him about S.H.I.E.L.D. yet," Fury shook his head. Then he frowned and looked at the guy who looked exactly like Constantine. After thinking for a long time, he seemed to have realized something. "Is that John Wick?"

"Oh, right," Noah also realized his impropriety, so he nodded. "That's right, the assassin from the High Table."

"So, you're planning to make a move on the High Table?"

Fury wasn't stupid; he immediately understood. He knew Noah had been paying attention to that place, but he didn't know Noah's interest in the High Table had shifted from possibly possessing the Golden Apple to exploring their leader's connection with ancient assassins.

However, no matter what the reason, their end was the same. With Noah, the mage, passing by, an organization that was originally a threat to the world probably wouldn't end well. Therefore, it was very normal to say that Noah was going to act against the High Table. In Fury's opinion, the High Table was probably in for a truly miserable time.

"More or less," Noah nodded. "I came here this time to tell you that John Wick, after everything is over, try to arrange a new identity for him so he can live his own life."

"Oh?" Fury raised an eyebrow. "In exchange, he gave up information, right?"

"No, he helped us take action," Noah spread his hands, answering directly. Fury didn't pay attention at first, but the next second, he froze. What did he hear? Help Noah and them take action? An ordinary human assassin helping a mage deal with an organization of ordinary people? Are you sure you're not kidding? Fury didn't ask immediately. Instead, he simply looked at Noah, wondering what tricks this guy was up to now. Of course, no matter what Noah was up to, this so-called High Table was basically already written off in Fury's mind.

"This time, I'm here to get some things from you and to

explain this guy's situation. When everything is over, I hope you can protect him."

"Or, if he's willing, he can work for me. But that's all for later. Tell me what you need."

"Guns, a lot of guns."

"..." Fury stared blankly at Noah. Even if he was dumber, he would now understand what Noah was trying to do.

He truly hadn't expected this mage to be so bored that he'd come to play role-playing games. He looked back at John Wick, who seemed a bit confused right now, but this state looked more like he wasn't clear about his relationship with Noah. This couldn't help but make Fury laugh. It seemed this guy had no idea who Noah and the others really were!

After thinking for a moment, Fury decided not to expose Noah's identity. Since they wanted to play, he would let them play more. Fury could easily provide them with a large quantity of guns and other weapons! Moreover, Fury couldn't help but entertain some small thoughts.

After learning Noah's routine, Fury had basically figured out some of Noah's ideas. Fury thought that if this were the case, he could also ask him for help! For example, this time, God knows what those HYDRA guys were up to.

Although Fury had already made a decision, this didn't mean he was going to abandon S.H.I.E.L.D. Therefore, Fury also planned to thoroughly investigate and obtain some evidence, so that he could then figure out how much of S.H.I.E.L.D. could be salvaged.

Honestly, this matter could be very dangerous. But if there were mages helping, Fury felt that everything would become much easier, at least safety would definitely not be a problem. After much thought, Fury felt that he could make good use of this opportunity, but before that, Fury felt it was better to make things clear, to avoid everyone feeling uncomfortable later.

"Guns? No problem, you can have any model you want,"

Fury laughed carelessly. "But later, I might need your help with something. Don't worry, I'll pay you for it."

"Need help?" Noah tilted his head, then quickly nodded.

Helping was certainly no problem. Whether it was Rogers being hunted by S.H.I.E.L.D. or Fury facing assassination, Noah could help. Honestly, this kind of opportunity only came once. Noah probably wouldn't do this again in the future... probably. Therefore, Noah knew about Fury's small thoughts but didn't say anything. He genuinely had a need, and Noah was just playing, so helping while playing was not out of the question.

Anyway, there was nothing to do. Since he encountered it, he would help, and Noah thought Fury was fine; at least, he still thought he was pretty good.

Noah agreeing to Fury's request made the guy breathe a sigh of relief. This way, things might become even simpler. Opening the communication device, Fury quickly called Coulson back, and then this guy directly gave Coulson a long list of items, the weapons on which left Noah utterly confused. He turned to look at Jason and Wick, and these two guys were clearly startled by Fury's grand gesture! Setting aside other weapons, Noah still recognized the one named M82A1 on the list. Wasn't that the legendary Barrett?

"Uh... excuse me, we're not going to war," Noah had to interrupt Fury, who was still talking about preparing weapon models. "Just give us some good handguns and enough ammunition."

"Huh?" Fury stopped and looked at Noah strangely. "Only handguns? I'm not saying this, buddy, but you won't experience the charm of weapons with just handguns. Are you sure you don't want heavy firepower?"

"I'm very sure!" Noah nodded seriously. "I'm not going to deal with planes; handguns are enough. Besides, if you give me so many weapons, I have nowhere to put them.

Remember, I'm not a mage right now; I'm an assassin... no, an agent."

"Alright, just handguns then. That's much simpler; no need to apply for anything then." Fury thought for a moment and then said, "To avoid some trouble, like you shooting and attracting the police, I'll issue you some identification. How does that sound?"

"That would be excellent."
