Yesterday, the Sixth Battalion faced the flood peak, fighting from 6 AM all the way until 5 PM.
From the Camp Commander down to the private, none had clean uniforms or dry shoes to change into. They just slept in their clothes in the village at the base of the dike. Although their bodies were dirty, soaked, and bitten by mosquitoes, they slept soundly, simply because they were exhausted.
As the warriors slept deeply, an urgent assembly whistle blew outside.
