It was simply surreal, and at the same time it showed the reality of how broken the world truly was, or more precisely how broken the country and its political system had become.
People usually only hear about things like this in undeveloped countries or in dictatorships, and even there it is different, because at least in a dictatorship people clearly know that no one is going to help them, they understand their place and the limits of their hope, but in a so called democracy it should not even be a question, it should not even be a debate, it should be the duty and the will of the government officials, the people in power, to help everyone without hesitation.
But that was not what was happening inside the presidential palace.
How fucked up is that?
