Only a few people would actually buy it. Besides the rich, who pick it up out of curiosity, there's really just one other group interested: those aiming to explore the Dark Continent.
Not everyone has the ability to manipulate space, so a water collection bead that can concentrate fresh water becomes incredibly valuable. In a place like the Dark Continent, where anything can happen, such a tool is not just useful, it's essential.
No matter what tests you run on a simple bowl of water, if you drink it again, there's still a chance you could suddenly drop dead on the spot. That's how dangerous it is to consume anything from the Dark Continent.
In a place like that, someone dying just by stepping on the ground wouldn't even surprise Larry. The very words "Dark Continent" suggest endless unknowns and unpredictable dangers.
The outer film of these water beads is pretty tough; otherwise, the water bead fish wouldn't survive in the sea. This toughness also makes them convenient for people to carry around. The only downsides are that there aren't many of them, and they're quite expensive.
Larry guessed that these magical water bead fish probably come from the ocean between the Six Continents and the Dark Continent. Unlike most people, Larry didn't really need water beads, since Gengar can store plenty of water already.
But since he wasn't short on money and was curious, he decided to buy some anyway. Even though these water beads are rare, they're fairly well-known.
Now, the pumice stone was a different story. Larry saw it sold at the same auntie's stall that had the Dark Pearl.
At first, he thought it was just a pretty amber stone. But then he noticed it was absorbing the aura from his hand, and that's when he realized its ability.
This pumice looks like a simple stone, but if you hold it in your palm and focus your thoughts into it, it can reduce the gravity acting on the holder. Larry tried it out, and when he poured his aura into it, he could cut the gravity on his body by about half within ten seconds. Suddenly, his body felt much lighter.
If you get used to it beforehand, it can seriously boost your physical ability. Even though it only reduces gravity and doesn't increase it, that's still pretty useful.
Although the pumice stone itself isn't useless, the idea it sparks in Larry's mind is what truly matters. After some testing, Larry realizes that this pumice stone can also be used by Pokémon.
This immediately reminds him of the "light stone" found in Pokémon items. Aside from their different appearances, their effects are essentially the same.
This means that if a nen tool from the Hunter world is given to a Pokémon, it can function just like an item from the Pokémon world. This idea seems quite reasonable and very likely to be possible.
After all, anything can happen on the Dark Continent, and any item with any kind of effect might exist there. Perhaps later, Larry might even find things with effects similar to [Leftovers] or [Vigor Belt]. With the help of such items, Pokémon would become even stronger.
There's often a huge difference in power between Pokémon with and without items, and many strategies rely heavily on using these props. For example, if a Ferrothorn is combined with leftover food, any damage taken can be immediately restored, making battles more tactical. After spending several days experimenting and preparing, Larry finally gets a call from Morel: it's time to get ready for action.
The blue sky stretched endlessly above, and below lay the vast, open sea. Golden sand met the deep blue water, waves occasionally crashing onto the shore before retreating back.
Early in the morning, the beach was empty, this was the meeting spot Morel had arranged. They planned to board the ship at the nearby port, and Morel would sail toward the misty horizon.
On the field, only Shoot, Knuckle were visible; Morel was nowhere to be seen. Just as Larry was about to ask, a sudden, terrifying movement caught his eye in the distance.
Above the sea, a strong wind whipped up a massive wave. Towering like a mountain, the wave surged like an enormous wall moving toward the beach.
As the water rolled forward, the scene became grand and breathtaking, one of the unique features of this harbor. Here, giant waves appear a few days each month, creating a spectacular natural phenomenon.
Larry squinted slightly, spotting a tiny figure riding the semi-circular waves, it was Morel! Calmly perched on his surfboard, Morel glided along the waves, his large pipe still resting on his shoulders in that familiar Monkey King style. Despite the weight of the pipe, his expert surfing skills made it seem effortless, as if the massive wave beneath him was just a small ripple brushing the shore.
As the waves carried him closer, Morel finally reached the group on his board. "Sorry to keep everyone waiting," he said, a bit sheepishly, as he put his surfboard aside.
Giant waves like this were rare, and he didn't want to miss the chance to ride them. His apology was mainly aimed at Larry and the others since he was the one who had invited them there.
Larry smiled and waved it off. "It's fine, let's get ready to go." He wasn't annoyed at all; instead, Morel's surfing reminded him of something fun.
After all, Kirby the snorlax could surf too, imagine Kirby showing off those skills in front of everyone! Larry chuckled at the mental image of Kirby's round body catching giant waves, probably making everyone, including Morel, laugh.
But for now, it was time to set sail. Because of the huge waves over the past few days, Morel hadn't docked the boat on the beach but at a nearby port instead.
The next vessel they boarded wasn't a small boat, it was a medium-sized ship. Though only six people were on board, the association had promised to bring back as many missing people as possible, so space was a priority.
Even though it was medium-sized, the ship Morel secured was top-notch, faster than ordinary speedboats, luxuriously furnished, and stocked with all the supplies they might need. With Morel at the helm, the ship smoothly pulled away from the coast, heading deeper out into the open sea.
"I really didn't expect to see you here," Cluck said, holding a glass of red wine as she greeted Larry warmly. "Even when Morel told me, I couldn't quite believe it."
During the meeting to decide whether Larry could be promoted to a "three-star hunter," the proud Cluck had been skeptical, refusing to believe one person could have so many impressive feats.
But at the recent gathering, Larry's five auras completely shattered Cluck's doubts. It turned out there really are people who can reach that level of strength. Larry's power was so overwhelming that it kept Pariston and other troublemakers at bay.
