Angelica's eyes opened, she turned to see the other side of the bed empty just the way she liked it. Sadly, her hopes that Ian had already taken his leave were crushed when she saw him walk out of the bathing room shirtless.
She scoffed silently and turned to the right pretending as if she was still asleep. The last thing she wanted to do this morning was interact with him. Their discussions at night always ended badly and she did not wish to start the morning the same way.
Her plan was to wait for him to get dressed and once he left she would continue with her day.
She could hear the sounds of Ian getting dressed. She believed he was almost done and was about to leave.
He walked to the door but did not make any attempt to open it. Suddenly he turned around and in a low voice said, "I know you are awake, you are not fooling anyone.".
As soon as he said that, Angelica opened her eyes with a frown and got out of bed.
