Raven: "My father Trigon is an interdimensional demon, and his whole purpose is to conquer worlds, turning them into hell worlds. "
The air inside the TARDIS felt heavier as she spoke, as though the words themselves carried weight.
The Doctor: "Hmmm, interdimensional demon. Can't say I haven't dealt with those before, but if so, what does he want with you? I can't believe that someone with such a goal would be chasing after a father-daughter reunion so badly"
Raven: *Hesitantly*"He wants his key"
The Doctor: "Key?" I said, pretending to be confused
Raven: "Yes, I'm his key. Trigon had been exiled from this reality. Azarath was a seal that had been preventing him or his demons from entering the world. But now due to my foolishness, I've invited him in, and now others have had to sacrifice themselves to stop him. But it isn't stopping his demons, and neither would it stop him for long. And if he gets me, he'll have access to the whole universe, and no-one will be able to stop him."
The Doctor: "Hmmm, I see. So the key is to take you as far away from him as possible. Sexy, set course away from here."
I stood up immediately, boots hitting the metal floor with purpose as I walked toward the controls, fingers already flying over switches and levers.
What? You thought I was going to try to find if there was anyone alive I could save? This is Trigon we're talking about, someone the League was unable to stop even when they all fought him together. Someone on the same level as Darkseid, I ain't ready to face that challenge yet, nope, I'll rather run away today then maybe we'll see what happens tomorrow. Besides this world is probably done for anyways.
TARDIS: "Right away Doctor, setting course now, beginning space warp"
Everything was going well and I was already plotting a course to the farthest reaches of this galaxy, I know Earth is close by but I plan to take the long road, that would give me time to understand her powers and plan methods of shielding her from her father, can't be going from the fire to the frying pan.
Because even if he couldn't follow us to Earth, he could still send his demons and acolytes to track her down. And if his demons are anything like in the show, I'm not ready to go up against the entire JL team, yet.
All of a sudden the entire TARDIS began to quake, violently
I could hardly stand on my feet as the floor lurched beneath me, while the walls groaned like a can being squeezed from all sides.
I turned around to check on Raven and saw her on the floor, clutching her head in pain, her torn cloak spread around her like spilled ink. Her lips were moving, words tumbling out too softly to hear from where I stood.
Raven: *whispering* "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos, Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos, Azarath"
The Doctor: "What's going on!" I shouted, stumbling towards the door to see what was making the TARDIS quake so much it felt as if its about to be ripped apart
As I opened the door all I saw around the TARDIS was red.
Endless red.
A vast sea of red energy surrounded the TARDIS, pressing in from all sides. It felt like we were caught in a cosmic undertow. The TARDIS was fighting,pushing back against a mighty tide,but it wasn't going anywhere.
The Doctor: "What are those?" I said as I squinted, trying to make out the shadows moving within the crimson storm.
What I saw shook me to my core.
Red-skinned, winged creatures with two horns on their heads.
The Doctor: "Wait a minute... are those demons?"
As soon as I said that, one of the creatures turned to the direction of the TARDIS and gave a loud screech, although I couldn't hear a thing apart from the quaking of the TARDIS around me, I assume the others could hear it as the very next moment millions of those creatures began surging towards the direction of the TARDIS
The Doctor: "Sh*t f*ck f*ck" I slammed the door shut and sprinted back to the controls.
The Doctor: " Get us out of here sexy!" I screamed
TARDIS: "Unable to, Doctor. The space has been sealed. It would take three years to push our way back and a thousand to push our way forward."
The Doctor: 'Sh*t three years just to go back to where we started? We don't have time for that. Even right now, I could feel the quaking increase as those creatures slammed themselves into the TARDIS'
The Doctor: "Wait... time, how could I forget, this is the f*cking TARDIS. MY f*cking TARDIS" I said as I scanned the readings.
The energy that was blocking our travel was spatial, luckily there were no temporal readings
Perfect.
The Doctor: "Sexy, how're you holding up?" I asked as I immediately began to set coordinates for three seconds before we left the surface of Azarath.
TARDIS: "Major external damages, minor internal damage, and some rooms may need reorganizing, Doctor"
The Doctor: "Yeah yeah, we'll get to that later, first of all let's survive this, hold on tight!!" I shouted as I turned around to check up on Raven
She was passed out on the floor still mumbling
The Doctor:"Well more for me" I said as I pulled the lever
I'm not ashamed to say I probably had a manic grin on my face at that moment, do you know how long I've been waiting for this?
I've dreamed of this moment, and now I'm actually doing it, I had been too busy trying to create ways so I don't die on my first week on this mayhem of a universe
Although I'm currently having one of the worst starts imaginable, I can only say
Now that I think on it, this is very exciting
The TARDIS slowly faded and appeared back where we were three seconds after we had left, a perfectly closed loop
The Doctor: "Oh thank heavens" I said in relief.
It worked.
I know some might say why don't I just travel through time to another planet, to that I'll say, the TARDIS doesn't work like that. I could travel through space to a different planet, and once I'm there, then yes I can travel through time on the planet, as long as I'm close to the planets temporal orbit I could travel through time on it.
And seeing as we're stuck here, I could only travel through time on this dimension, but although I could go as far back as I want, that would draw attention to me and who knows if Trigon would be able to trace my temporal stream and follow along for the ride
The Doctor: "Sexy, re-engage camouflage please" I said in exhaustion
TARDIS: "Right away Doctor"
I noticed something wrong with her tone, she was beginning to sound like a British butler, well let's ignore that for now, we have bigger fish to fry, she can speak anyway she wishes to, I don't have a say on that matter since I gave her full reign of her avatar settings
After a while seated on the floor due to the adrenaline wearing off and the exhaustion from the excitement and fear I was going through setting in, I stood up to check on Raven
As I walked towards her, as I got closer, I could finally hear what she's mumbling in her unconsciousness
Raven: "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos, Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos...."
As I got to her, I whipped out my sonic screwdriver to check up on her, as the blue light emitted from the screwdriver scanned her, I could see a complete reading of all her vitals
The Doctor: "Oh thank god, its just some mental exhaustion, not a possession" I sighed in relieve as I gently picked her up as I walked towards a door labelled room in another forgotten language
As I laid her down on the bed, her mumblings began to slow to a stop as she slowly began to relax and drift into sleep
After making sure she was comfortable, I walked out of the room as I walked towards the controls
The Doctor: 'We need to get out of here' I said as I began to search for a way out of this dimension that doesn't involve facing a hoard of demons
After a while I saw it, a small opening, well small compared to the red energy surrounding this dimension. Although this one seems to be covered by a different sort of energy
As I analysed the readings of the energy, mu hearts raced.
I realized it was possible for us to bypass this energy and sneak into earth. I just need to hide Raven's demonic energy signature and with the data I currently have stored in my sonic screwdriver, I could do that and more, heck I could probably hide her from her father
But it would take time, this is new energy, yeah I may have faced gods and demonic beings, but I've never had the time or was able to get readings on their energy signature like today, afterall this is a new and improved sonic screwdriver.
It would take me 24 hours to prepare something to mask her readings and maybe a little more if time permits.
The Doctor: "Sexy, how long will it take to bypass this shield?" I asked as she materialised besides me
TARDIS: "Eight hours, Sir."
The Doctor: 'More with that British ascent, anyways twenty four hours to get prepared and eight hours to get out of here, that should work, hopefully' I thought as I walked towards the lab, the earlier I start the better
