Hey guys 👋
Yes, I'm alive 😅
I know it's been a while since my last post.
Things have been a lot lately, and I've been busy doing the very important task of making sure I actually made it into 2026 in good health 😂
Somewhere along the way, writing had to pause, but I'm back now.
By the way, Happy New Year! 🎉🥳
I'm wishing that this year is 100× better than the last for each and every one of you.
To everyone who's still here with me,thank you ❤️
I'm genuinely grateful for every single one of you. Stick around and watch the madness continue 😈📖
Now, some good news 👀
There'll be a change this year
Instead of 1 chapter a week, I'll be releasing 2 chapters a week 🎊🎊
So… hurray!
The only thing I'm not sure about is the schedule 🤔
Should it be:
2 chapters on Mondays, then nothing for the rest of the week
OR
1 chapter on Monday and 1 chapter on Friday
I'll let you guys decide
Either way, thank you all so much for your patience and support.
And don't worry,I'm not dropping this book until I finish it 💪🔥
Much love ❤️
Let's make this year wild.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a long time pass and she still hadn't said anything
The Doctor: "So... this is the part where you introduce yourself."
'Yeah, I may know who she is, but I don't think it's wise for me to say so, especially when she's clearly paranoid and currently has me in her grasp'
Raven: "I... I'm Raven."
She said it cautiously, still wary of the strange man who had appeared out of nowhere.
The Doctor: "Very well, Raven. Welcome to the TARDIS"
He said trying to act nonchalant and wave flamboyantly around while he was hanging upside down
From an outsider's perspective, it looked very funny
Raven: *mouth twitching* "Thank you for bringing me here, but where's here, and who sent you?"
Her voice hardened.
Was it my father? Whatever games he's playing, tell him I'm done playing. I won't be tricked by him again. I'll banish him from my home, and I'll run away where he'll never find me."
She said forcing bravado into her voice even though the Doctor could see her body shiver minutely in fear or was it anger as she mentioned her father
The Doctor: "This is the TARDIS... think of it like a spaceship."
Raven: "Spaceship? What's that?"
'Oh yeah. She won't know what a spaceship is. Afterall she grew up in an isolated dimension, I dare say the only entertainment she would have here is the magic books and probably stories from her elders'
The Doctor: "A spaceship is like an interdimensional portal that carries people from one point to another" He said as he tried to bring it down (or was it up) to her level
Raven: "What? you have an interdimensional portal?!" she exclaimed in shock
Interdimensional portals are different from normal portals.
Normal portals can only be used to travel from place to place. She learnt that one easily on her own three years ago when she was escaping from the demons her father sent to hunt her down, although they kept tracking her portals and finding her because she's yet to learn how to hide her traces, especially when she's using demonic powers
But interdimensional portals are a whole different ball game, most interdimensional portals are stationary, but this one looks like an entire building, how was he able to make such a thing and move it with him from one place to another, is he some legendary wizard like the ones she read about in the history books when she was little?
'Wait... he called it something else earliar. A spaceship? Not a portal then. I don't know what a spaceship is, but I can infer from the name space and ship, so a ship for space? a floating ship? we have a lot of floating ships but this doesn't look like any ship I know' Raven thought in confusion but her mind was brought back to the present as the Doctor begins to speak again
The Doctor: "Not really an interdimensional portal, but that's an explanation for another time. As for your second question, who's your father? is this some family issue with a kid running away from home?"
Raven: "You don't know?" she asked with a look of suspicion, eyes narrowed
The Doctor: "Should I know? Is he popular? Forgive me, but I'm new in this parts, so you'll have to introduce him"
Raven: "M... my... father is Trigon" she said as she watched him carefully, this time using her empathic powers to see if he's really speaking the truth that he doesn't know who her father is
She was expecting something from him, maybe shock, surprise, disgust or even desire, those where the kind of emotions that had followed her throughout her life here on Azarath.
People were always either terrified of her powers or repulsed by them. Even when she didn't display them, they looked at her with unease. No one ever told her why.
They never told her why and as a child she never understood why everyone hated her or was angry at her.
The Sisters of Azarath never taught her how to use her powers, it was always about containing it or suppressing her emotions, how to maintain inner balance, they instilled the fear of losing controlled into her so deeply that she feared it more than death
'Maybe they were right, look at what losing control has lead to' she thought
That was why, three years ago, she decided to go be with her father. If no one wanted her here then maybe her father wanted her oh how wrong and right she had been, he definitely wanted her, but for a terrible reason, the books never explained what her father was.
Afterall from what she used to hear some sisters talk about when they thought she was asleep, she assumed he was a loving dad but her mom was just selfishly keeping her away from him, although their emotions whenever they talked was desire, that was the first time in her life she felt desire from someone whenever her name was mentioned
Although now she knows it was all a set up, the conveniently placed book praising Trigon, and containing spells she could use to 'communicate with him' (what hogwash),where she could easily retrieve it.
The conveniently empty temple where she had foolishly summoned her father, a temple that was always full of people, but it just so happened to be closed that day
Since then she had been om the run while she watched those around her die and give their lives to strengthen the dimensional barrier that is still holding back Trigon and his main forces although it wouldn't hold forever as long as she's here.
She has been practicing her magic since then although they always track it to wherever she was hiding, but there was nothing she could do about that if she hadn't practiced, she would have been captured a long time ago
Yet now, from this stranger hanging upside down, all she could read was compassion. It was all encompassing, it felt like he had compassion for everything although she could feel darkness within it but the compassion seems to contain it, just like she contained her power
The Doctor: "Hmmm Trigon? never heard of him. So what's the family issue, is your dad a terrible mob boss? and not liking what he's doing you decided to run away but he sent his men to catch you and bring you back?"
Raven: "What? No? What's a mob boss?" she asked in confusion
The Doctor: "No? Alright then, so what's it. Although I would appreciate it if you let me go so I can listen to your story in a more comfortable position."
She stared at him for a long time, they just stared at each other
Raven: *blushing* " Sor... sorry."
She said in embarrassment as she caught herself staring although she was trying to read deeply into his emotions, although she could still feel the compassion in him, by staring into his eyes she could also see the darkness of regrets buried deep in his soul
The Doctor: "Phewww I was beginning to lose feelings in important body parts" he said as he stretched his legs and arms
The Doctor: "OK Raven, why don't we seat and discuss whatever problems you're facing" he said with a gesture as two chairs rose up from the floor
They both took a seat, Raven took a awhile to compose herself then she began to speak

So guys, I know some of you might be surprised by the change in writing style in this chapter 😅
I had a friend read through my story and give me their brutally honest opinion (and trust me, I need critics at this point… I'll even take a hater 😭).
They pointed out that it was sometimes hard to tell who was speaking and the punctuation made things a bit confusing
So I decided to switch things up and write this chapter differently to see if it flows better 📖✨
Now I need your thoughts 👀👇
Is this easier to read?
Should I continue with this style?
Or should I go back to the old one?
Either way, don't hold back 😈
Throw your power stones at me 💎
Review, comment, critique,everything is welcome.
Thank you guys so much for reading and supporting ❤️
