I tried to dissipate what I thought at first was a Genjutsu just for nothing to happen. I tried that for a couple of minutes nothing happening until the screen changed.

My stats look good, considering despite my rank as a Chunin I was actually in the same power scale as a Jonin. The only reason why I haven't been promoted is because I haven't gained a great achievement or recommendations to gain a promotion otherwise I probably already be a Jonin.
Sadly the Jonin exams only happened during war times otherwise I would probably already be a Jonin.

Weirdly enough a part of me wants to play around with this, even though I have no idea on how I even have this system or even how logically it even works but might as well try.
I start looking to the store seeing that I could buy different items, skills, and plenty of more stuff all in a catalog and I can even upgrade some of my current skills with my credit.

A grimace twisted my lips. I could shore up my weaknesses, bringing my Taijutsu and Genjutsu up to a respectable Adapt level, but it would cost me most of my credits. Or, I could specialize, pushing one of my core skills from Adapt to Expert.
Before I could decide, a new line of text, pulsing a soft gold, appeared at the bottom of the store interface.

That was... an unbelievable offer. Suspiciously so. What was the catch? The fuck was with this system? I pushed the paranoia down on my mind.

Some of the items/skill seem interesting like some herbs that I definitely wanted to buy or some interesting looking sword but not long after scrolling through the store I found what I wanted to buy.

As I purchased it rush of knowledge, enter my mind as I gain knowledge on how to feel the energy that fueled all life and technique.
Sensors were rare and me having disability will help me survive longer.
Next, I turned my attention to the [Random Skill Scroll] from the package. It hovered in my inventory, a pixelated icon of a sealed parchment. Taking a breath, I willed it to activate.

The ability to spin chakra into fine, nearly invisible threads. Can be used for manipulation, entanglement, sensory extension, and as a foundation for puppet techniques. Thread strength, length, and fineness scale with skill rank and user's Chakra Control.
I just frowned at that Chakra Threading? It was an obscure art, primarily associated with Sunagakure and its puppet masters.
Better than nothing I suppose.

As I walking to the Hokage tower. Today I wanted to take a mission and with my new abilities I want to fight someone to test out my power. As I fix my sword sheath on my hip.
As I got close I made my way inside, and made my way towards the mission admission room. When I entered, it was to see the Hokage himself sitting at the main desk, many a shinobi spread out over other desks.
"Kai-kun, good to see you," Lord Third said, his pipe sending a wisp of fragrant smoke into the air as I approached his desk. "I'm assuming you're here for another mission. You know, taking a break wouldn't hurt you."
I bowed my head respectfully. "I'll keep it in mind, Hokage-sama. But for now, I would like to take a mission today, if possible." I said respectfully yeah i've been taking a bunch of missions recently, since I really wanted that promotion.
"Your dedication is noted Kai-kun," the Hokage said finally, turning to a specific scroll holder on his right, reserved for higher-rank assignments. He selected a single mission scroll sealed with wax. "Very well. This one requires a shinobi of your... particular disposition. A B-Rank escort mission."
He slid the scroll across the desk. I took it, breaking the seal with a practiced motion.
