The blaring of an alarm clock filled a lusciously appointed room filled with the finest furniture imaginable. A masculine groan came from beneath a well-appointed quilt and was quickly followed by an arm. The arm flailed around for a bit before it finally found the source of its annoyance and pounced. Blessed silence filled the room for a few moments until it was broken by another male groan.
The thick down filled quilt was shoved off of the mans head revealing a head of golden blonde hair and a rather handsome face. Dark blue eyes blinked open as he looked around the room, seemingly in confusion for a moment. He muttered something to himself that sounded like 'need to stop drinking'.
His attention was drawn to his right where the thick quilt moved once more. He reached over and pulled it back to reveal a head of purple hair. Pulling the quilt up a bit to look underneath it he was treated to the sight of a gorgeous and completely naked woman snuggled up next to him. Yubelluna, his Queen and the second in command of his peerage.
After his fiancée reincarnated a loser as a Pawn, things quickly spiraled out of control. That "Pawn" turned out to be this generation's Red Dragon Emperor, wielding one of the most infamous weapons in existence the Boosted Gear. With this revelation, his parents, Lord Phenex, and Lord Gremory had decided to accelerate the wedding plans, fearing Rias would somehow escape the arrangement now that she had added such a wildcard to her peerage.
The Boosted Gear was one of the twelve legendary Longinus-class Sacred Gears, god-slaying weapons crafted by the now-deceased the unnamed to give humans a fighting chance against the supernatural. This one, in particular, allowed its user to double their power every ten seconds, limited only by their body's capacity. However, despite the gear's immense potential, the sex offender wielding it was too weak to make effective use of its power at least for now.
Even with ten days to train her peerage, Rias had still lost to him in the Rating Game. He'd offered her every chance to win without hurting her pride, but she stubbornly refused to yield. In the end, he'd been forced to take drastic measures. By targeting her newest and weakest Pawn, he'd forced her to surrender. It was a calculated move, one he hadn't enjoyed making, but it was necessary to end the fight without causing her harm.
The victory had only deepened Rias's resentment toward him. Not that he particularly liked her, either. She'd treated him with contempt for the past decade, making it clear she despised the arranged engagement. But he had his duty to his family, to House Phenex, and to the expectations of the nobility. Unlike some, such as the rebellious Sitri heiress, he'd never thought to defy his parents' wishes. It wasn't about love it was about honor, pride, and the role he had to play.

"Absolutely not," I muttered, snapping my fingers. Flames erupted, consuming the offensive ensemble in seconds.
I turned back to my wardrobe, selecting a darker navy-blue suit that almost appeared black in low light. Paired with a sleek maroon vest and a black shirt with the top button undone, it struck the perfect balance of sophistication and restraint. After dressing, I ran a hand through my freshly styled hair, ensuring everything was immaculate. Satisfied, I strode out of my room and made my way toward the grand ballroom of the Phenex estate.
