Acnologia tries to break himself free of Alex's triangle choking technique, but all his limbs are sealed by Alex's tails. Alex also keeps absorbing his magic power to weaken him even more after he spends a lot of his magic power on that very powerful attack that ends up hitting himself.
To make sure Acnologia can't fight back even more, Alex also uses Shukaku's sealing technique. Black marks start covering Acnologia's body, sealing his movements even more.
"You know, I always thought that I could grow strong enough to defeat you alone in 7 years after our 1st battle. Turned out I was wrong, I could never defeat you alone. At the minimum, I needed the Tailed Beasts' help. But now I found out that I also still needed other people's help. I could fight you for a longer time because they gave me their magic power. As Alex says that right on Acnologia's right ear, the Battle Fairy approaches them together with some magic airships. Even the ones that approach like the Battle Fairy and the Council's airships still have many visible damages on their bodies. They are just more durable because of their high qualities, so they can still fly even with holes in their bodies.
On the Battle Fairy, 7 Dragon Slayers are standing next to each other. Cobra the Poison Dragon Slayer from Heaven's Runners also joins them. So there are Natsu, Laxus, Gajeel, Wendy, Sting, Rogue, and Cobra there.
Alex has communicated with Warren through telepathy before. As he said to Acnologia, he wants the Dragon Slayers to be the ones who kill the Black Dragon even though now he can do it himself.
The Dragon Slayers were unsure at first, but then the 5 dying Dragons pushed them to do it, so they agreed. Igneel and co even threatened the other Mages like some assholes from the Council who wanted to let the Wizard Saints or the Council do the honor.
"Don't hesitate and use your best attacks! If you still can't kill him even after I put him in this condition and position, then you better stop being Mages. And no one is allowed to disturb them or I will destroy all of you."
Alex also threatens everyone so no one will have funny ideas. But he also threatens the Dragon Slayers so that they can give their all, and that's what they do.
Standing side-by-side on the Battle Fairy's rooftop, the 7 Dragon Slayers cast their best spells together. They shoot their individual most powerful spells that hit Acnologia's front body. At this distance, they shouldn't miss because they basically stand right in front of Acnologia.
Their spells are big in size and also very powerful because all of them use Secret Techniques. But because there's no synchronization between their spells, they end up weakening each other's attacks because their spells clash against each other before hitting Acnologia.
So while the total power that hits Acnologia is high, it's not optimal because the attacks have gotten weaker. It makes Alex frown and they start arguing that they shouldn't disturb each other. Very typical of them to blame each other when everyone made the same mistake.
"This is so stupid. You guys are hindering each other." Ultear who watches from behind them is getting annoyed.
So she suddenly uses her Ice-Make and Ice God Slayer Magic to create 7 black ice platforms and tells them to jump on those platforms. They try to question her, but immediately cancel their intention after seeing her pissed expression and just jump onto the ice platforms.
Ultear then moves the ice platforms right in front of Acnologia. Natsu on Acnologia's left face, Laxus on the right face, Wendy on the left chest, Cobra on the right chest, Sting and Rogue stand side-by-side on the stomach, while Gajeel is right under Acnologia's crotch.
"WAIT! WHY DO I GET THIS SPOT?" Gajeel is obviously angry.
"That place should be hit with the hardest magic and your iron is the hardest here. Or do you want to get even closer?" Ultear lifts the platform to get closer to Acnologia's crotch, making Gajeel scream for her to stop as he agrees to stop protesting.
Very quickly, they use their best attacks again, now at point blank, so they won't hit each other's attacks again. The only ones who change their attacks are Sting and Rogue who now use their signature Unison Raid, which is stronger than their previous attacks.
If they had more time, all 7 of them could train to combine their attacks so they will support each other and make each other's attacks stronger. Maybe they might even make a Unison Raid with 7 people, but they are short on time now, so this is the best they can do.
Now Acnologia really gets the full damage of their attacks and he can't do anything about it. Except for the fact that his body is still very tough even after being injured so badly by his own super powerful attack and gets weakened by Alex's magic power absorption ability.
The Dragon Slayers' best attacks can't kill him immediately, so Alex tells them to keep spamming their strongest spells on Acnologia who can't do anything now. Even if it will take a little time, the damage from their attacks will stack and eventually kill Acnologia.
They do as he says and start spamming their strong spells without holding back on their power because they need to give their all on attacks. Even with Acnologia's great resistance to physical and magical attacks, the 7 Dragon Slayer Magic still damages him badly.
Alex also chokes him, making him unable to breathe properly so he can't focus on tanking their attacks. Having his magic power absorbed rapidly when he tries to recover it and also being immobilized just makes things worse for him.
Then after receiving one-sided beatings for quite a while, Acnologia finally succumbed to their attacks. The Dragon Slayers are running out of magic power to give their last attacks that kill Acnologia, so it's fortunate that they succeed.
They need to use that much power just to kill an already greatly injured and weakened Acnologia that even gets held by Alex, which really shows how monstrous the Black Dragon is.
Too bad for Acnologia, he can't even speak his last words because Alex chokes his neck and also seals his mouth. In the end, the Dragon who has ruled over the world for 400 years, the one who basically was the Dragon King for 400 years, is finally dead.
Alex can feel Acnologia's soul disappearing with his Human Path ability. When it disappears completely, he is finally sure that Acnologia has died. The 7 years grudge is finally over and they can kill Acnologia earlier than in the series, without sacrificing many people either.
They almost failed, but the Power of Friendship actually saved the day. It was literally the Power of Friendship because Alex received his friends' magic power when he almost ran out of it, so he could keep fighting. Well, there were also many strangers who helped, but the basic idea is still there.
Another great change has happened with Acnologia's death, but Alex knows this is not the end yet. There is still one big problem left to solve, 2 actually. Zeref and END.
Alex still needs to kill Zeref, but before that, he needs to break the connection between Zeref's life and Natsu. He can't just kill Zeref before doing that or he will also kill Natsu.
That's why Alex is actually planning to imprison Zeref until then. He has sealed Zeref with Shukaku's seals and placed him in a tail. But when Alex checks it after Acnologia is killed, Zeref actually has disappeared.
Alex knew the seals on Zeref's body hadn't disappeared, so Zeref didn't break it. The only answer to that is Zeref used magic in that sealed state to disappear after Acnologia's death. He found a gap in Shukaku's seals and soon, he'll break the seals too.
Well, it doesn't matter now because Alex also can't kill Zeref yet. He can find Zeref anytime after he deals with the END problem. For now, he is already satisfied with Acnologia's death.
