The intense battle between the 2 flying giant creatures keeps going. Alex now can fly freely because now he has Susanoo's wings, so he doesn't need to use his Rinne-Sharingan to fly which reduces his magic power consumption.
He keeps trading fast and powerful attacks with Acnologia. They also keep throwing fast magic attacks that don't require long castings. Even so, all of their attacks are still very powerful.
All of their clashes create strong impacts and magic attacks create flashy effects that spread widely so they can be seen clearly from the ground even though they are flying so high in the sky, especially since it's getting dark now.
They have fought for quite a long time and it doesn't look like the battle will end soon. Alex is trying to save his energy while still attacking Acnologia relentlessly. That's why he doesn't use a lot of magical attacks and uses more physical attacks.
He also prefers dodging and parrying Acnologia's attacks instead of blocking or countering them to save more energy. It also helps him get used to Acnologia's battle style while also reducing the damage taken from Acnologia's attacks.
Alex lands more attacks on Acnologia as the battle goes on. His attacks are powerful, but not powerful enough to break through Acnologia's hardened scales with a single attack.
However, each time Alex hits Acnologia, he absorbs some of Acnologia's magic power. He also attacks Acnologia's soul using the Human Path's power. Attacks on the soul can't be healed like physical injuries, so it will slowly affect Acnologia who doesn't seem to realize it yet.
Just like how Acnologia isn't immune to physical attacks, he also doesn't have immunity to soul attacks. His excitement over the battle also makes him unable to sense the damage to his soul.
Even more so when Alex's soul attacks land at the same time as the physical attacks. So Acnologia thinks he just feels pained from the strong physical attacks.
But then, Acnologia suddenly flies upward very quickly and makes a big distance. He stops quite far high above Alex. Then suddenly, numerous blue magic circles appear around Acnologia.
From those magic circles, numerous big and powerful magic projectiles are shot toward Alex, making him click his tongue in annoyance. If he dodges them, those powerful projectiles will rain down on the Mages below and might even reach the nearby town.
So Alex needs to stop them even though he knows this is what Acnologia aims by shooting them with this angle. He raises his left arm in front of him and a big round purple magic light appears on his left arm.
"Yata no Kagami! (Yata Mirror!)"
A big round purple shield appears on his giant avatar's left arm. This is the same shield Itachi has on his Susanoo even though the color is different and somehow Alex also got it when his Susanoo is activated.
The Yata Mirror should be able to negate all attacks, be they physical or magical attacks. But right now, Acnologia's attacks are scattered and his shield isn't wide enough to block all of them. Fortunately, he has a way.
"Bansho Ten'in!"
If his shield isn't wide enough to block all the scattered projectiles, then he will just make them come to his shield. Alex pulls all the big and powerful magic projectiles toward him who hides behind the shield using Bansho Ten'in, the Universal Pull.
It works and all of Acnologia's attacks are moving toward him. Acnologia frowns because he can't change their directions, but he quickly ignores it and starts shooting more magic projectiles at Alex.
The projectiles hit Alex's giant purple Yata Mirror, creating explosions after explosions. But the Yata Mirror blocks them all without breaking and Alex also doesn't get pushed back, frustrating Acnologia even more.
"If you want to take my attacks, then take them all!" Acnologia creates a massive blue magic ball in front of him using both hands while still shooting the projectiles.
The magic ball keeps growing until it becomes a few times the size of Acnologia's Dragon form. Alex can tell that it is very powerful too, much stronger than even Acnologia's strongest Dragon Roar that was used before.
"Die!" With a big grin, Acnologia stops the projectiles and throws the massive magic ball toward Alex.
Acnologia is using most of his magic power just to create this attack. He goes all out because he knows he can't break through Alex's Susanoo with his normal attacks after he landed quite a lot of hits on Alex's Susanoo armor.
Alex sees the gigantic attack that can engulf him even though he is the size of a giant now. So to the spectators below, this attack is incredibly large. They can only look at it in disbelief because they never thought a living being would be capable of this.
Even Alex is actually surprised by this. After all, in the series, Acnologia has always been depicted as the strongest individual in the world. But they never portrayed him to be this ridiculously powerful although it actually makes sense that someone who annihilated the whole Dragon Race has this much power.
Alex removes his shield and raises his hands toward the incoming attack. He closes his eyes and gathers his magic power on his hands. Then when the attack almost reaches his hands, he opens his Rinne-Sharingan eyes and releases his technique.
"Shinra Tensei! (Almighty Push!)"
An incredibly powerful pushing force is released from Alex's hands. Stopping the massive magic ball for a moment before pushing it back at Acnologia at an even faster speed.
Everyone, especially Acnologia is surprised by this. He doesn't have time to dodge now because it flies very fast toward him, so he raises his hands forward to stop his own attack.
But while he can catch the attack, he can't stop it. The pushing force that sends it back to him is still strongly pushing from the back. So after he grabs the attack, he is also pushed along with the attack, sending him even higher in the sky.
He tries to stop it, but to no avail. Then before he can do anything to it, the massive magic ball explodes. Such a massive magic ball created by Acnologia obviously creates a much bigger explosion.
*BOOM!*
The explosion covers the entire sky, even reaching Alex who has already moved far away from the exploding magic ball. He even got pushed by the shockwave, being shot down to the ground far below him.
It's not just him who's thrown, even the magic airships are also crashing down after being pushed by the shockwave. Nearby mountain tops are also destroyed even though they are still miles apart from the explosion.
Just seeing the effect, everyone can tell that if it landed on the ground, then it might even destroy this whole continent because the impact that was sent through the ground will shake the whole continent, causing a very deadly earthquake and even make the volcanoes erupt.
Even now, the buildings in nearby towns and cities that are located very far are falling apart because of the shockwave. It causes this much effect even when the explosion happens high in the sky.
The explosion can be seen by the whole Ishgar. Heck! It can even be seen from Alakitasia's border. Of course, it includes Alvarez, and it alerts the Spriggan, especially Irene who can sense that it's a Dragon Slayer Magic
They immediately know whose magic it is because only 1 being can use that much power, Acnologia. But they would never have thought that the one hit by that attack is none other than Acnologia himself.
As soon as the explosion effects stop, Alex immediately flies very fast to the sky. The smoke hasn't even disappeared, so he searches for Acnologia using his Rinne-Sharingan that can see others' magic power.
He finds Acnologia in a much higher location than before. The explosion has sent him away even further and it also has injured him badly, really badly.
While he surprisingly doesn't lose any limb, his hands, arms, and front body are ripped apart. A lot of his scales are ripped off of his arms and front body, revealing his flesh that actually looks like a normal creature.
Even his left face is damaged badly, including his left eye that gets destroyed. A lot of blood comes out of his nasty injuries. But crazily enough, he is still conscious and doesn't even show any pained expression, only anger.
He is obviously in pain, but his anger for Alex is much stronger than his pain. That's why when he sees Alex coming from below, he roars angrily. He even prepares a Dragon Roar to be shot at Alex.
However, Alex suddenly disappears, surprising Acnologia. Before he can understand what has just happened, he suddenly gets grabbed from behind. Someone suddenly clings on his back, an arm suddenly wraps around his neck, legs wrapped around his waist, and his limbs are wrapped by familiar tails.
Alex suddenly appears behind him and uses a triangle choke on his neck, stopping his Dragon Roar even before it's shot. For the 1st time in more than 400 years, Acnologia is in the losing position.
