After saying goodbye to the Kyoka family, the family made their way to the quirk specialist room.
A standard ward greeted them. Behind the desk, a middle aged man typed away casually at his computer. At the chime of the door, he looked up and gave a warm smile.
"Ah, welcome Mr and Mrs Kincaid." He greeted them as he motioned towards the chairs.
Julius and Shizuka reciprocated the gesture, settling into their seats. The doctor's gaze dropped to the youngest kincaid, "Oh, you must be Max. Well, are you excited to see what your quirk is?"
Max grinned, "Aye! My heart is full of joy for the blessings the heavens have given me."
A surprise expression made its way to his face, before he let out a hearty, amused chuckle, 'Seems Julius was not exaggerating when he said his son likes to talk in 'The way of the knight'. "I see. Well, let's get started and find out what exactly it is then."
Max changed into a hospital gown, as he got an X-ray. After a few minutes, the results were out. He changed back to join his parents, awaiting the results.
Kenji adjusted his glasses as he stared at the results. "Well, confirming from the results, your son has a quirk. Well, let's get to the next tests to confirm what it is." He gestured for them to follow.
They entered a larger, separate room. A few pieces of equipment were laid in the room.
"Okay, Max, I want you to try and remember how you used your quirk, recall the feeling and try to use it." He instructed from the side.
Max nodded. His eyes closed, brows furrowed in concentration. The memory of how those fiends picked on the girl made his fists clenched. A burning, righteous anger burned in him .
His eyes glowed with a soft golden aura as he opened them.
'Hmm, as expected he would unlock that aspect straight away.' Julius analyzed, 'But to be able to use it immediately, th...that's my son.' the thought filled him with pride.
Kenji scribbled some notes down, "Hmm, Okay Max thank you."
Exhaustion washed over Max, as his eyes dimmed back to his natural black.
Back at his main office, Kenji relayed his analysis "Okay, it seems your son's quirk is an emitter. It allows him to use this golden energy, now so far he can only use it in his eyes to discern weak points and intent. So any kind of illusions, he would see through them." He explained.
A look of sheer amazement crossed Shizuku's features."Wow, you got all that all from just a glance."
Kenji nodded, adjusting his glasses, the light reflecting off it. "My quirk especially helps with that. Observate: it helps me to analyze quirks, what it does based on information told about the person, and the actions they do."
'So those were the reasons for the demonstration?' She thought, understanding his quirk better. It was really appropriate for his field.
Julius and the family stood up. "Well thanks once again Kenji."
Kenji just smiled, "No problem friend." He gave a warm smile to Max, "And a well happy birthday Sir Maxwell." He spoke grandly.
Max nodded, "I offer my deepest gratitude, Good Healer, for your noble assistance this day"
The parents let out a chuckle,
Kenji blinked, eyes widening momentarily. "Ah, before I forget." he coughed, his tone changed to a grander one. "Young Maxwell, what shall you name this grand blessing the heavens have gifted to you?"
The boy took a thinking position as he deliberated before he climbed onto his chair and said proclaimed, "It shall be known as…Knights Valor."
An amused expression made its way to Kenji's face, "Very well sire, a fitting name if i say so myself." he documented the name down.
And so the family went back home.

The family settled into their home after quite a long day. The two parents glanced at the still excited figure of their son, a meaningful look on their faces.
"Max," Shizuku called out.
"Yes mother." His eyes glanced back.
The two spotted serious looks as they sat in front of their son. The weight of what was about to be shared seemed to weigh down on them the more.
Julius leaned forward, eyes glowed a subtle golden hue. "Max, do you truly wish to be a Knightly Hero?"
A look of unease crossed Max's face as he stuttered. "O...of course father."
"Max, I want you to really think about it. You may not have the answer now, you might not understand the implications of it until you're older."
Max smiled, "Father, I fear not the shadows of a treacherous path! I shall be the light that breaks the dark. I wish to be a pillar for the weak to lean upon, and a hope for all to see!"
The two parents remained silent, before proud smiles made way to their faces. "Well, it seems you're set on this goal, all me and your mother can do is guide you on the path."
Shizuku brought him in for a hug, "We're so proud of you Max, you'll be a great Hero."
A smile tugged at Max's lips, happy and glad of his parents.
"We'll begin your training tomorrow. But for now, you'll need to sleep." Julius said.
Max nodded, then hugged his parents."My thanks are as deep as the seas, Father, Mother! I shall rest now to prepare for our battle tomorrow!" He said, before running up to his room to sleep.
A warm smile crossed their faces. Shizuku leaned on her husband and couldn't help but ask. "Isn't it too soon to begin training him? I know your quirk allows you to see it, but what if he's not sure, you know?" Shizuku bit her lip, her eyes darting towards the stairs where Max had gone
Julius's expression softened, his hand gripped hers lightly in comfort, "I understand Star, if it were my choice I wouldn't want him to as well. But with the conviction in him, how could I as a father not support my child's dream. I...I can only have faith."
Star's eyes widened in surprise, "Faith huh, never thought you would believe in that."
"Neither did I." Julius chuckled, then sighed as he continued, " But that's all I can lean on when logic cannot understand."
Shizuku smiled, then her expression shifted to one of seriousness. "When will you tell him about his legacy?"
His expression seemed to age more, his hands massaging his temples, "As of now he's still too young to bear such audacious tasks. He'll be ready when he's older…then he'll know."
Shizuku nodded, silently praying for a child for the difficult tasks already placed on him for the future. She just hoped he would be able to bear it.

The next day, Max, adorned with simple workout clothes, stood in front of his Father. They were currently inside the basement or the house, which was larger than he realized.
Julius stared at his son, "Before we begin. Max, come here please."
Max stared curiously at the pendant in his fathers hands as he walked towards him.
"Max, this pendant is meant to help you in the future. It will help you regulate your power, if you notice any cracks on it, it means it's reaching its limit. So don't go overboard with it, understand?" He draped the pendant around his son's neck.
He felt the pendant. It was similar to his old one. The same key chain ending with a sword, but this time it had a small golden gem where the swords crossguard would be.
""Father! Why must a Knight's flame be shrouded in darkness? Why must I hide my power?" he stared at him curiously.
Julius sighed, "Max, I wish I could tell you, but you're not ready to learn them yet. But know that they are dangerous people out there, and this will help you hide from them until you're strong enough. So try not to go over its power limit."
A determined expression flashed in Max's eyes , ""I understand, Father. I shall grow so mighty that no shroud can hold me! Then, I shall strike down every fiend that dares walk the earth!"
Julius chuckled, "Well, okay then. Let's get started."
Max nodded, his eyes blazed with conviction. Ready to begin his journey to become a Knightly Hero. But of course, it wouldn't be that simple.
Omake
Mika stared at her daughter, "Kyoka, seems like something's made you so happy."
"Yes mama, I've found my husband." She replied.
Kyotoku froze, feeling like there had pierced him with a stake.
"Husband, is it that little boy we met before? Max?" Mika asked
Jiro nodded her head, a faint blush on her face. "My book said, a knight and shining armor would come to rescue a princess and would fall happily ever after. So he's my husband." She declared.
Each word stabbed more stakes into poor Kyotoku's heart. 'That small little snake, trying to worm his way into my daughter's heart.' He wouldn't allow it! He declared in his heart.
Mika's eyebrow raised in amusement as she at her husband. Already knowing what he was thinking. Well, she would only let things play out naturally.
Unknowingly to Max, he had already made an enemy for life.
