Michael looked beyond reality itself. And there, he saw a golden strand in the midst of all the strands of reality around him.
Connected to him were every single Rebornian citizen he had awakened himself. From the very bottom of the chain with ordinary mortal citizens, to the very top, to the Dragonborns and the Shadow Orcs, and everyone else.
So, he was keenly aware of what had happened to Zion.
The young Dragonborn's thread had been cut off. It was now fraying, with its ends burning, as if signaling his connection to Michael and the Reborn company fading into obscurity.
Michael couldn't help but shed a single drop of tear for Zion.
Zion was simply a good kid, albeit being a little bit mischievous. He wasn't meant to be part of this war. Michael had wanted Zion to be on the sidelines to make sure that he wouldn't have to face these cultivators who were realms above his own strength.
