The mid-innings break felt like an eternity. The 25,000 fans inside the Ring of Fire hadn't sat down. The chants of "Jeetega Bhai Jeetega" and "Pakistan Zindabad" were colliding in the humid air, creating a wall of sound that vibrated in the chests of the players.

India needed 148 to win. On paper, a manageable total. But this was India vs Pakistan. The scorecard is irrelevant; the pressure is the real opponent.

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul walked out. Two of the most elegant batters in world cricket. Rohit looked calm, adjusting his gloves. KL Rahul looked focused, eyes on the pitch.

The Pakistan team huddled. Babar Azam was animated. He knew they didn't have enough runs, so they needed early wickets. He tossed the new ball to the young sensation, Naseem Shah.

Ravi Shastri (On Air): "148 to get. It sounds simple, but under these lights, against this bowling attack, nothing is simple. Naseem Shah has the new ball. He has pace, he has swing. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma need to see off the first spell. This is the battle within the battle."

Wasim Akram: "Naseem is a special talent. He bowls with heart. Pakistan needs a miracle in the Powerplay. If they get Rohit or Rahul early, the panic sets in."

Over 1: The Naseem Shah

Ball 1: Naseem Shah to Rohit Sharma Naseem marked his long run-up. The crowd roared as he steamed in. He bowled a length ball, swinging away slightly. Rohit, tentative but watchful, pushed it towards cover with soft hands. He called for a quick single. "Yes!" They scampered through. India was off the mark. 1 Run.

Ball 2: KL Rahul on strike. The stadium held its breath. Naseem adjusted his line. He ran in. 146 kmph. He bowled a length delivery outside off-stump. It wasn't a bad ball. It wasn't a magic ball. But KL Rahul, perhaps feeling the weight of the occasion, was indecisive. He tried to defend, but his feet were stuck on the crease. He played away from his body, trying to guide it with an angled bat. The ball took the inside edge. It crashed into the stumps. CLACK. The bails lit up red. The Pakistan team exploded.

Ravi Shastri (SCREAMING): "BOWLED HIM! DRAGGED ON! Naseem Shah strikes on his second ball! KL Rahul departs for a golden duck! Pakistan have their perfect start! Look at the emotion! Look at Naseem reeling away! The stumps are shattered and so are a billion hopes! Is this going to be a nervy chase?"

Waqar Younis: "What a start! Pace does it! Rahul was tentative, played inside the line, and dragged it back! 1 for 1! Game on in Dubai!"

KL Rahul b Naseem Shah 0 (1)Score: India 1/1

The silence from the blue half of the stadium was absolute. But then, a figure emerged from the tunnel. Virat Kohli. The Chase Master. The man who had haunted Pakistan in World Cups for a decade. He walked out with his helmet on, bat tucked under his arm, eyes burning with intensity.

Gautam Gambhir: "Here comes the man for the big occasion. Virat Kohli. India is under pressure immediately. 1 for 1. 147 needed. He needs to absorb this pressure. The ball is swinging."

Ball 3: Naseem to Kohli. Slip, gully, short leg. Attacking field. Naseem bowled full, searching for the swing. Kohli leaned forward. Solid defense to mid-off. Dot.

Ball 4: Back of a length. Kohli stood tall and defended. Dot.

Ball 5: Naseem bowled wide. Kohli left it alone. The crowd cheered every dot ball like a goal. Dot.

Ball 6: Naseem went for the yorker. Kohli dug it out. But he was hurried. The bat came down just in time. The ball rolled to cover. Dot.

End of Over 1.Score: India 1/1. Analysis: A dream start for Pakistan. Naseem Shah was breathing fire.

For the next few overs, it was a grind. The pitch wasn't easy. The ball was stopping a bit and swinging under lights. Shahnawaz Dahani shared the new ball.

Over 2: Shahnawaz Dahani to Virat Kohli

Ball 5: Kohli finally got off the mark. Dahani bowled on the pads. Kohli flicked it through square leg. It raced away. FOUR. The first boundary. The Indian fans found their voice.

Over 3: Naseem Shah Continues Naseem was relentless. He beat Rohit's outside edge twice. Rohit looked rusty. He couldn't time the ball. He was 1 off 8 balls. Kohli managed a single. Score: 10/1.

Over 4: Haris Rauf enters the attack Haris Rauf, the speedster who knew these conditions well from the PSL.

Ball 5: Rauf banged it in short. A heavy bouncer directed at Kohli's head. Kohli, perhaps frustrated by the slow start, decided to take it on. He went for the pull shot. He was late. Top Edge. The ball flew high... straight up? No, it went fine. It flew over the keeper's head. Mohammad Rizwan jumped, but it was too high. It sailed into the boundary cushions. SIX!

Waqar Younis: "He got away with that! Top edge! Could have gone anywhere, but it flies over the keeper for six! Kohli living dangerously against the short ball. Rauf has the pace to hurry him."

Ravi Shastri: "Fortune favors the brave! He committed to the shot. Not convincing, but India will take every run right now."

By the end of the 6th over, India was 38/1. It wasn't a disastrous score, but it wasn't commanding either. The concern was Rohit Sharma. The Indian captain was struggling. He was mistiming his drives, finding the fielders, and looking visibly frustrated. Rohit's Score: 5 runs off 14 balls.

Gautam Gambhir: "Rohit is not looking himself today. He is struggling to rotate the strike. This puts pressure on Virat at the other end. In a chase of 148, you can't afford to get bogged down. The required rate is creeping up."

Over 7: Mohammad Nawaz (Left-arm spin)

Babar Azam introduced spin. Mohammad Nawaz. Kohli took a single on the first ball. Rohit was on strike. He knew he had to break the shackles.

Ball 4: Nawaz tossed it up slightly. Rohit's eyes lit up. He had been waiting for this. He got down on one knee and slog-swept it. He connected. The ball soared over deep mid-wicket. A massive hit! SIX!

Wasim Akram: "Finally! That is the Hitman we know! He breaks the shackles with a monstrous six! That should get him going."

Ball 5: Nawaz went flatter. Rohit defended. Dot.

Ball 6: Nawaz floated it up again, but this time wide of off-stump. Rohit saw the flight. He wanted to repeat the dose. He stepped out, trying to smash it over long-off. But the ball spun away. He was not to the pitch of it. He sliced it. He miscued it completely. The ball went high, but not far enough. Iftikhar Ahmed at long-off ran in, kept his eyes on the swirling ball, and took a safe catch.

Ravi Shastri: "AND HE GOES! Rohit's grind comes to an end! He tried to go big again but miscued it! Iftikhar takes it at long-off! A struggle of an innings ends. 12 off 18 balls. India are 50 for 2, and the pressure is right back on!"

Gautam Gambhir: "It was the right shot, but execution was poor. He never looked settled today. Now, India is in a tricky situation. Two senior pros gone."

Rohit Sharma c Iftikhar b Nawaz 12 (18)Score: India 50/2 (7.6 Overs)

As Rohit walked back, head down, the stadium lights flickered for a second, almost sensing the shift in energy. The PA system announced: "Next batsman... Aarav Pathak!"

The roar that erupted was not just loud; it was primal. It was different from the cheer for Kohli or Rohit. This was the cheer of expectation, of recent memory. Aarav Pathak. The man who had scored a match-winning innings against Pakistan in the 2021 World Cup at this very venue. The man who was currently the best all-format batter in the world.

"AARAV! AARAV! AARAV!"

The chant echoed around the Ring of Fire. He wasn't 'Seth Saheb' here; he was the nemesis of Pakistan.

Waqar Younis: "Listen to that noise! He walks out with a reputation. He destroyed us last year in the World Cup. He is the Vice-Captain now. He is young, he is fearless. India needs a partnership."

Aarav walked to the crease. He punched gloves with Virat Kohli. Kohli looked intense. "Ball is gripping a bit. Play straight." Aarav nodded. He looked at the field. He looked at Babar Azam. He took his stance.

Score: 50/2. Target: 148. Required: 98 runs from 72 balls.

The game was on a knife-edge.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The atmosphere was tense. Rohit Sharma's dismissal had given Pakistan a sniff. The run rate had dipped, and the required rate was creeping up. Mohammad Nawaz, having just taken the wicket of the Indian Captain, had his tail up. He had two balls left in the over

Over 8: Shadab Khan to Virat Kohli

Ravi Shastri: "Here we go. 50 for 2. The game is in the balance. Aarav Pathak has joined Virat Kohli. Two of the best chasers in the world. Shadab Khan with the ball."

Ball 1: Shadab tossed it up on middle. Kohli, sensible as ever, leaned forward and pushed it gently to long-on. 1 Run. Kohli walked past Aarav. "Watch the drift. It's sliding in." Aarav nodded, tapping his bat hard on the crease. He didn't look like he wanted to watch the drift; he looked like he wanted to destroy it.

Ball 2: Aarav Pathak on strike. First ball faced in the match. Shadab saw the new batsman and tried to bowl a flat, skidding delivery on off-stump to tie him down. Aarav didn't wait. He didn't play a sighter. He cleared his front leg instantly. He got under the length and launched it. A lofted drive straight back over the bowler's head. Pure timing. Pure power. The ball sailed into the sightscreen. SIX!

Wasim Akram: "What a way to get off the mark! First ball! He hasn't even settled in, and he hits a massive six! That is the confidence of the man. He just dismissed the pressure instantly."

Gautam Gambhir: "That is the difference. Rohit was struggling to time it. Aarav comes in and hits through the line. That shot tells Pakistan: 'The Captain is gone, but the Boss is here'."

Ball 3: Shadab, rattled, adjusted his line. He bowled flatter and wider, trying to keep it away from the hitting arc. Aarav anticipated it. He got down on one knee early. He didn't sweep. He played the Dilscoop—against a spinner! He ramped it directly over the wicket-keeper, Mohammad Rizwan's head. The connection was sweet. The ball flew over the fine leg boundary. SIX!

Ravi Shastri (Thundering): "TWO IN A ROW! Cheeky! Audacious! Magnificent! He scoops the spinner over the keeper for six! Who plays that shot on their second ball against a firey India Vs Pakistan? Aarav Pathak does! The crowd is going bonkers!"

Wasim Akram: "Rizwan had no chance! He just watched it sail over his head. That is humiliating for a bowler. You set a field, and he hits it where there is no fielder. 13 runs off 3 balls in this over already."

Ball 4: Shadab was panicking. He bowled a wide delivery—way outside off stump. It was a wide ball if left alone. Aarav saw the width. He didn't leave it. He reached out, used the pace of the ball (or lack thereof), and opened the face of the bat at the very last second. He guided it past the short third man fielder. It wasn't a smash; it was a caress. FOUR.

Gautam Gambhir: "Genius. Pure genius. That was a wide. He manufactured a boundary out of a dot ball or an extra. He is toying with the field now. 17 runs off the over and he has faced 3 balls."

Ball 5: Shadab went defensive. Fired it into the pads. Aarav clipped it to deep mid-wicket. He wanted two, but Kohli called for one. 1 Run.

Ball 6: Kohli on strike. The crowd was chanting "AA-RAV! AA-RAV!" Kohli defended the last ball to cover. Dot.

End of Over 8.Score: India 68/2. Runs from Over: 18. Aarav Pathak: 17* (4). Virat Kohli: 26* (24).

Ravi Shastri: "And just like that, the momentum has shifted! 18 runs off the over! Aarav Pathak has come out like a man possessed. He has injected pure adrenaline into this chase. The required rate has dropped significantly."

Wasim Akram: "Babar Azam looks worried. He is talking to Nawaz and Shadab. They had India under pressure, but this counter-attack has stunned them. You cannot bowl loose to this guy."

Gautam Gambhir: "This is why he is the Vice-Captain. He recognized that the team was bogging down. He didn't take time. He attacked. Now Kohli can play his natural game while Aarav destroys the bowling."

The blue flags in the stadium were waving frantically. The Seth had arrived, and the game was back on.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The momentum had swung violently in India's favor after Aarav Pathak's 18-run assault in the previous over. Babar Azam, looking concerned, kept faith in Mohammad Nawaz. He needed his spinner to bounce back.

Over 9: Mohammad Nawaz to Virat Kohli

Ball 1: Nawaz tossed it up, floating it outside off stump. It was a brave delivery, inviting the drive. Virat Kohli's eyes lit up. He saw the flight and decided to go over the top, aiming to clear long-off. He stepped out and struck it through the line. But he didn't get to the pitch of the ball. The bat turned in his hand slightly. The ball soared high, but it lacked the distance. It hung in the night sky for an eternity. Iftikhar Ahmed, stationed at long-off, didn't even have to move. He settled under it, cupped his hands, and took the simplest of catches.

Ravi Shastri (Shocked): "OH, HE'S GIVEN IT AWAY! Virat Kohli sends it straight down long-off's throat! That was a bit of a gift to Iftikhar! He struck it through the line but didn't get the distance! It felt like catching practice! Just as the partnership was blooming, Pakistan strikes back! A huge, huge moment in the game!"

Wasim Akram: "Babar Azam can breathe again! Nawaz held his nerve. He invited the big shot, and Kohli fell for the trap. Pakistan is not letting this go easily!"

Virat Kohli c Iftikhar b Nawaz 26 (25)Score: India 68/3

The crowd was stunned. 68 for 3. The required rate was manageable, but losing a set Kohli was a blow. Everyone expected Suryakumar Yadav to walk out. But from the dugout emerged a different figure. The swagger was unmistakable. The diamond chain glinted under the floodlights. Hardik Pandya.

Gautam Gambhir: "This is interesting. A promotion for Hardik Pandya! Usually, SKY comes at 4 or 5. But Rohit and Dravid have sent the power-hitter in early. They want to keep the left-right combination? No, both are righties. This is about intent. They don't want the momentum to drop."

Hardik walked to the center. He fist-bumped Aarav. The two stared at each other. The noise was deafening, but in the middle, the communication was telepathic. "Destroy," Aarav whispered. "Don't let them settle. Don't panic." Hardik nodded, adjusting his helmet. "Watch me."

Ball 2: Nawaz was over the moon. He had just removed the King. He ran in with his tail up, looking to nail a yorker to the new batsman. He bowled it full and straight. Hardik didn't defend. He didn't play a sighter. He stood tall in his crease and unleashed a flat-batted slap straight back down the ground. The power generated was frightening. The ball traveled like a laser beam. The Umpire had to take evasive action, ducking violently to the side to avoid being decapitated. It crashed into the sightscreen before anyone could blink. SIX!

Wasim Akram: "WOW! Welcome to the crease, Hardik Pandya! That is a slap! A literal slap on the face of the bowler! Nawaz tried the yorker, and Hardik has dispatched it flat over the umpire's head! If the umpire hadn't moved, he would be in the hospital! That is ferocious!"

Ravi Shastri: "He has dismissed the pressure immediately! Wicket falls? No problem! Hardik hits a six first ball! This Indian team is different. They are not going into a shell!"

Ball 3: Hardik, having made his point, pushed the next ball gently to long-on. 1 Run.

Ball 4: Aarav on strike. He worked it with soft hands to deep mid-wicket. 1 Run.

Ball 5: Hardik drove to sweeper cover. 1 Run.

Ball 6: Aarav punched off the back foot to long-on. 1 Run.

End of Over 9.Score: India 78/3. Runs from Over: 10.

Gautam Gambhir: "That is mature cricket. Look at that over. A wicket fell on the first ball. Hardik hits a six on the second. And then? Four singles. They took 10 runs off the over without taking a single risk after the boundary. That is how you chase in a high-pressure game. You punish the bad ball and rotate the strike. Brilliant from these two."

Ravi Shastri: "India is 78 for 3 after 9. They are ahead of the rate. Pakistan needs wickets, but with Aarav and Hardik at the crease, the danger level is at maximum."

The game was perfectly poised. Pakistan had chipped away, but India's counterpunch was landing flush every time.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Babar Azam turned to his vice-captain, Shadab Khan. The leg-spinner had a point to prove. In his previous over, Aarav had taken him apart for 18 runs. It was a grudge match within a grudge match.

Over 10: Shadab Khan to Aarav Pathak

Ravi Shastri: "Shadab Khan is back. He has to be brave here. Aarav Pathak took him to the cleaners last time, but he cannot afford to bowl defensive lines. He needs a wicket. Aarav on strike."

Ball 1: Shadab tossed it up, brave flight outside off. Aarav leaned forward, smothering the spin. He pushed it gently to long-off. 1 Run. Aarav walked past Hardik. "Don't force it. Watch the googly."

Ball 2:Hardik Pandya on strike. He had started with a six, but now he needed to build. Shadab bowled a flat slider on off-stump. Hardik tried to cut but was cramped for room. He chopped it to point. Dot.

Ball 3: Shadab floated a googly. Hardik read it late. He pushed defensively back to the bowler. Dot.

Gautam Gambhir: "This is excellent bowling. Shadab is varying his pace. Hardik is trying to hit the ball too hard. He needs to just time it. Two dots in a row builds pressure in a chase like this."

Ball 4: Hardik was getting restless. He stepped out, trying to launch Shadab over extra cover. But Shadab saw him coming and fired it wide. Hardik had to reach for it. He lost his shape and could only drag it to deep mid-wicket. It was a boundary ball, but he only got a single. 1 Run.

Hardik punched his bat in frustration as he ran. His face showed it all—he was disappointed in himself. He knew he missed out. "Damn it!" he muttered, adjusting his gloves aggressively.

Wasim Akram: "You can see the frustration on Hardik's face. He wanted that boundary. Both batters are trying to get at least one big hit per over to keep the rate in check. Now, it's up to Aarav."

Ball 5: Aarav Pathak on strike. Shadab, confident after keeping Hardik quiet, tried to toss it up again, looking for turn. It was right in the slot. Aarav didn't hesitate. He saw the flight and went down on one knee. The Slog Sweep. He didn't just hit it; he connected with the sweet spot of the bat. The sound was majestic. The ball soared high into the Dubai night sky, deep into the stands over mid-wicket. SIX!

Ravi Shastri (Booming): "BOOM! That has gone miles! Aarav Pathak releases the pressure valve instantly! Shadab gave it some air, and Aarav said 'Thank you very much!' That is a huge, huge six! The Indian fans find their voice again!"

Gautam Gambhir: "That is the difference in class right now. Hardik struggled to find the gap, but Aarav picked his spot and cleared the rope with ease. That six ruins the over for Pakistan."

Ball 6: Shadab, rattled, fired a quicker one on the pads. Aarav defended it calmly. Dot.

End of Over 10.Score: India 86/3. Runs from Over: 8.

Wasim Akram: "India is in a much better position now. 86 for 3 at the halfway mark. They need 62 from 60 balls. That is almost a run-a-ball. With Aarav set and Hardik there... Pakistan needs wickets. Dot balls won't be enough."

Ravi Shastri: "Aarav Pathak is the key. He is batting on a different surface. He has absorbed the pressure of Kohli's wicket and is now dictating terms. If he stays for another 5 overs, this game is over."

The players took drinks. Aarav walked up to Hardik, putting a hand on his shoulder, calming the all-rounder down. The partnership was growing, and with it, India's chances of victory.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The halfway mark had passed. India was 86/3, needing 62 runs from 60 balls. The required rate was just above 6 runs per over—a very manageable equation in modern T20 cricket, especially with two set power-hitters at the crease. But Pakistan wasn't going away. They knew one wicket could expose the lower order.

Babar Azam continued with his spinners, trying to rush through the overs and induce a mistake. Mohammad Nawaz returned.

Over 11: Mohammad Nawaz to Hardik Pandya

Wasim Akram: "This is sensible cricket now. They don't need to hit every ball for six. Just milk the singles. Nawaz is bowling flat, trying not to give room."

Ball 1: Hardik takes guard. Nawaz fires it in on middle stump. Hardik doesn't try to muscle it. He leans forward and pushes it gently down to long-on. Just a walk-through single. 1 Run.

Ball 2: Aarav on strike. He uses his feet just to get closer to the pitch of the ball, negating the spin. He eases it to deep cover for a single. 1 Run.

Ball 3: Hardik stays back, waits for the ball to turn, and works it with the spin to deep mid-wicket. Another single. 1 Run.

Ball 4: Aarav opens the face of the bat, guiding a flatter delivery towards point. The fielder is deep. Easy single. 1 Run.

Ball 5: Hardik taps it to long-off. 1 Run.

Ball 6: Aarav finishes the over with a push to deep extra cover. 1 Run.

Ravi Shastri: "Clinical. Absolutely clinical. Six singles in the over. No risk taken, yet the scoreboard keeps ticking. 92 for 3. The required rate is steady. This frustrates the fielding captain more than boundaries sometimes because he feels helpless."

Over 12: Shadab Khan to Hardik Pandya

Gautam Gambhir: "Shadab continues. He needs to find a way to break this rhythm. Dot balls create wickets, but right now, India is rotating strike too easily."

Ball 1: Aarav on strike. Shadab tosses it up slightly. Hardik resists the temptation to slog. He drives it along the carpet to long-off. 1 Run.

Ball 2: Hardik plays it late, waiting for the googly. He reads it from the hand and nudges it to square leg. 1 Run.

Ball 3: Aarav pushes to sweeper cover. 1 Run.

Ball 4: Hardik steps out, forcing Shadab to drag the length back. Aarav adjusts and punches it to deep mid-wicket. 1 Run.

Ball 5: Aarav plays a back-foot drive to long-on. 1 Run.

Ball 6: Hardik retains the strike with single for next over.

End of Over 12.Score: India 98/3. Runs from Over: 6 (All singles).

Wasim Akram: "Twelve runs in the last two overs without a single boundary attempted. That is maturity. Aarav Pathak and Hardik Pandya are just taking the game deep. They know if they stay till the 15th over, they can finish it in one blitz. Pakistan needs to bring the field up, take a risk."

Ravi Shastri: "India is cruising now. 50 runs needed off 48 balls. With 7 wickets in hand. This partnership has settled the nerves completely."

Batsman Stats:

Aarav Pathak: 32* (15 balls) – Leading the charge with smarts.

Hardik Pandya: 15* (12 balls) – Playing the perfect supporting role.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The required run rate had dropped to a comfortable 6 runs per over, but this was India vs Pakistan. Comfort is a myth. Babar Azam, sensing that the spinners were being milked too easily, decided to bring back pace. He recalled Shahnawaz Dahani, the energetic pacer known for his celebrations.

Over 13: Shahnawaz Dahani to Hardik Pandya

Ravi Shastri: "Here comes the change. Dahani returns. He has pace, he can be skiddy. Babar wants a wicket. But Hardik Pandya is on strike, and he looks like he's done with the singles."

Ball 1: Dahani ran in, full of energy. He banged it in short of a length, angling into the body. Hardik didn't back away. He stood tall, cleared his front leg, and punched it. It wasn't a pull; it was a back-foot power punch. The ball flew flat over long-on. It kept rising until it hit the advertising hoardings on the second tier. SIX!

Wasim Akram: "What power! He didn't even swing hard! Just timed it with those strong forearms. Hardik Pandya sends a message immediately. Welcome back, Dahani!"

Ball 2: Dahani, rattled, tried to go fuller, searching for the yorker. He missed the length by six inches. It became a slot ball. Hardik's eyes lit up. He brought out the Mini Helicopter. A flick of the wrists, high bat speed. The ball soared over deep mid-wicket. High and handsome! SIX!

Gautam Gambhir: "Two in two! This is carnage! Hardik is taking the game away in a blink! 12 runs off 2 balls. The pressure on Pakistan is immense now!"

Ball 3: Dahani went wide outside off to survive. Hardik slashed it to deep cover for a single. 1 Run.

Ball 4: Aarav Pathak on strike. 32 runs. He had watched Hardik destroy the bowling. Now he wanted a piece of the action. Dahani tried the bouncer again. Aarav was waiting. He didn't hook; he pulled it in front of square. Flat bat. It rocketed to the mid-wicket fence and cleared it with ease. SIX!

Ravi Shastri (SCREAMING): "IT'S RAINING SIXES IN DUBAI! Aarav Pathak joins the party! Anything Hardik can do, the Vice-Captain can do too! This over is costing Pakistan the match!"

Ball 5: Dahani lost his line completely. He bowled a length ball on the pads. Aarav flicked it. Effortless. It sailed over square leg. SIX!Aarav moves to 44.

Wasim Akram: "Stop the fight! This is brutal! 25 runs off the first 5 balls! Pakistan are shell-shocked! Aarav Pathak is dismantling them!"

Ball 6: The crowd was delirious. They wanted a third six. Aarav wanted a third six. Dahani ran in for the final ball. He looked defeated, but he kept his eyes on the stumps. Aarav stepped out. He wanted to hit it over long-off to finish the over with 31 runs. He swung hard. He swung too hard. Dahani bowled a slower ball. An off-cutter that gripped the surface. Aarav was through the shot way too early. He missed the ball completely. The ball dipped and crashed into the leg stump. BOWLED!

Ravi Shastri: "HE'S KNOCKED HIM OVER! A twist in the tale! Dahani gets his revenge! Aarav Pathak goes for the big one and misses! The leg stump is out of the ground! Pakistan celebrates, but look at Aarav! He is furious!"

Aarav Pathak b Dahani 44 (19)Score: India 123/4

As the Pakistan team huddled, celebrating the wicket that gave them a glimmer of hope, the focus was on Aarav Pathak.

He didn't look at the bowler. He looked at his bat. He punched the handle of his bat—a hard, violent punch with his gloved fist. Hardik Pandya walked down the pitch and tapped Aarav on the helmet. "Koi na, Bhai. Great innings. Go."

Aarav walked off. He didn't acknowledge the crowd's applause. He was seething. He knew he had thrown it away when he could have stayed till the end. He reached the boundary rope. He ripped off his gloves and threw them onto the bench in the dugout. He walked into the dressing area. He didn't throw his bat—he respected the equipment too much—but he placed it into the kit bag with aggressive force, shoving it down.

He sat on a chair in the corner of the dugout, chest heaving. He grabbed a bottle of cold water. He drank half of it in one gulp, and then poured the rest over his head, letting the icy water mix with the sweat, trying to cool down the fire inside.

Gautam Gambhir: "That is the hunger. Look at him. He scored 44 off 19, set up the game, but he is angry because he didn't finish it. That is the hallmark of a champion. He expects perfection from himself."

Suryakumar Yadav (SKY) walked out to the center, chewing gum, looking relaxed compared to the storm that had just left. Score: 123/4. Equation: 23 runs needed

The game was firmly in India's hands, but the wicket had given Pakistan a pulse.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The dismissal of Aarav Pathak had given Pakistan a fleeting moment of hope, but Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav extinguished it quickly. They milked singles in the 14th over, bringing the equation down to single digits.

Over 15: Haris Rauf to Hardik Pandya

Ravi Shastri: "Here we go. India is one hit away. It's been a clinical chase despite the hiccups. Hardik Pandya is on strike. He has been cool as a cucumber."

Ball 1: Haris Rauf steamed in, trying to bowl a yorker to delay the inevitable. He missed his length. A low full toss. Hardik didn't try to overhit it. He just leaned back and flicked it. The ball sailed over the mid-wicket boundary. SIX!

Ravi Shastri (Booming): "AND THAT IS IT! Hardik Pandya finishes it in style! A cool, calm six to seal the deal! India wins the mother of all battles! They chase down 148 with 5 wickets in hand. A dominant performance against their arch-rivals!"

Wasim Akram: "Comprehensive. Pakistan fought in patches, but India had too much firepower. Hardik Pandya, Aarav Pathak, Virat Kohli... they all chipped in. The calmness in the chase was the difference."

As the ball landed in the crowd, Hardik simply nodded. He didn't run around screaming. He punched gloves with SKY. Rohit Sharma walked out from the dugout, a satisfied smile on his face. Aarav Pathak, having cooled down, walked out with a towel around his neck.

The celebrations were muted. Professional. Aarav shook hands with Babar Azam. "Well played," Aarav said. "Good play," Babar acknowledged, looking drained.

There were no wild dances. Just a job done. It was the first game of the tournament, not the final. The message was clear: We expect to win.

Ravi Shastri stood on the outfield with the microphone. The noise was still deafening as the Indian fans refused to leave.

Ravi Shastri: "I have with me the Vice-Captain and the game-changer, Aarav Pathak. Aarav, big game, big win. How is the feeling?"

Aarav: "It feels good, Ravi bhai. Always special to win against ... The atmosphere was electrifying. But honestly, just happy we got the two points."

Ravi Shastri: "You played a blinder. 44 off 19 balls. You broke the back of the chase. But when you got out... we saw the reaction. You punched the bat. You threw the gloves. You looked furious. Why the anger when you had played such a gem?"

Aarav's face turned serious. He looked at the camera. "Because I didn't finish it, Ravi bhai. In a game like this, against an attack like Pakistan's, you can't leave the door open. I did the hard work, I got the run rate down, but playing that shot to Dahani... it was unnecessary. I should have walked back with Hardik. That's the standard we want to set. Virat bhai always says, 'The job isn't done until you cross the line'. I left it for the others. That's not good enough for me."

Ravi Shastri: "That is elite mentality. Talk to us about the partnership with Hardik. You two seemed very calm and then aggressive."

Aarav: "Hardik is a rockstar. When he came in, we just looked at each other and said, 'Let's not panic'. We knew if we took it deep, one over would change the game. We targeted the spinners. The mindset was clear—attack the bad balls, respect the good ones, but never let the body language drop. Whatever happens, show them we are in control."

Ravi Shastri: "And a word on the bowling? You took 3 wickets, including Babar and Fakhar."

Aarav: "The plan was simple. Hit the deck hard. Use the short ball. Babar is a class player, so getting him early was crucial. Arshdeep and Bhuvi bhai set it up beautifully. It was a complete team effort."

As the interview ended, Hardik Pandya walked past. He saw Aarav and and opened his arms for a hug with Aarav. They hugged tightly a bear hug of relief, pride, and brotherhood. "You set it up, Aarav," Hardik whispered. "You killed the game in that one over." "You finished it, Kung Fu," Aarav smiled, pulling back.

They walked towards the dressing room, arms around each other's shoulders, laughing. The Young Guns had passed their biggest test in the desert. India 1, Pakistan 0.
