Equan's body descended from above once more, his eyes scanning the chaotic battlefield for his bow, until he heard a scream...
"EQUAN CATCH!" Luke yelled from below, hurling the bow at him with his metallic arm.
Equan seen it before Luke could though... He tried to yell... Seeing that the bow couldn't reach him in time...
A trident hurling towards Luke at frightening speeds...
Luke turned too late.
Equan let out a blood curdling scream, unable to bare the sight of losing someone else...
However, that was before the winds had begun to pick up... Spiraling in circles like a hurricane had been let loose in this already chaotic battlefield.
On the other side of the room, Kaylynn was straining as she couldn't even feel her body from all of the water that had flooded it...
But her hands were outstretched... And the green emblems engraved onto her arms were glowing brighter than ever before...
Equan grinned maniacally, as the winds began to pull him and his bow apart into a terribly powerful force of nature...
The winds pushed and pulled him in circles, always rotating on opposite sides of his bow, meanwhile- below him, Luke had engaged in a violently battle of bare hands with Gabriel... Who was somehow winning.
Luke blocked with his flesh arm, feeling a horrendous and unexpected force from Gabriel's punch, crushing every bone in his arm...
Then he delivered a strike with his metal arm, but regretted the second that the corner of Gabe's lips curled upward.
SLASH!
A dagger had been pulled from a small slot on his leg, cutting open Luke's side in an instant while he easily ducked under the metal arm.
At first Luke felt a strange amount of pride at how strong his students had gotten, but realized quickly after that the dagger was soaring straight at his throat.
He grimaced realizing that the time had come... Knowing full well that this was inevitable...
Time slowed.
"Scarlet Chain..." Luke spoke almost euphorically...
A crimson haze washed over a large radius of the room, overlapping all of the active elements, causing the hurricane to instantly disperse...
Luke- Bandit chuckled...
"I don't think I ever told you kids how I gained such a notorious name..." he grinned, speaking the words he had always wanted to say aloud.
"My affinity..." Blood began to spill from his lips...
The scarlet haze growing stronger as he spoke the words... Gabriel's eyes widening as he tried to summon water, or even bring his trident back to his hands.
"Is anti-magic!" He boomed, as the haze formed into a chain made of all of the elements on ground level.
Green wind began to flow around each of the crimson links, as lightning cackled throughout it, and water held it together...
Gabriel instinctively backed away in horror...
Above...
Equan was laughing like a psychopath.
He had finally been freed of dodging that trident in the torrents of wind, and he had finally gripped his bow with fierce determination.
He drew an ethereal arrow from his quiver... Drawing it with deadly precision in his movements.
'Just like riding a bike...' He thought internally... Pointing the tip of his arrow at Gabriel's foot. Putting all of his trust in his own skill... In order to not miss when it mattered most...
He fired.
The arrow soared down at an impossible angle...
Blood splattered as Gabriel's foot had been pinned to the ground.
He grimaced... Or at least what had possessed him had grimaced...
Then...
His vision returned to normal...
He was dazed at first, but quickly lost balance as blood started to spill from his nose.
Then Luke caught him the second that he started to collapse.
"I got you... It's alright now..." He muttered, his gaze staring at the Northern wall that had begun to crack apart.
"No!" Gabriel yelled, grabbing Luke's chestplate with deathly fear covering his face.
"We need to run! Have to get out! Please! No no! You don't understand! WE NEED TO LEAVE LUKE!" He screamed, his heart beating so fast that Luke could feel it through every point of his body... Tears forming in Gabriel's eyes...
"Everything is going to be fine..." Luke declared, his eyes narrowing at the wall...
"I'll kill whatever did this to you..." He stated, his eyes beginning to glow a dangerous scarlet hue...
...
Far above the lower battles...
Michael formed ice barrier after ice barrier, blocking and recreating each of the barriers that broke from the barrage of meteors crashing into them over and over and over again.
"Give up!" Gideon yelled, blood spilling from his nose from the amount of energy that he was using in order to keep up this onslaught of attacks.
Hans looked even worse... He had wounds all over his body, rendering his armor completely useless... And yet he was still going... Still fighting... Forming intricate weapons with each of the meteors not big enough to do damage to the powerful ice...
Spears, swords, and arrows had also began to crash into the ice, occasionally piercing it and nicking at Michael's armor...
"Give our friend back!" Equan yelled from behind Michael, causing everyone's eyes to widen in shock.
He drew his bow... Summing a miniature storm on the tip of the arrow...
Michael couldn't react...
Hans and Gideon instantly ceased their attacks...
The arrow flew...
Crashing straight through Michael's helmet at such a precise speed that it would break through the armor but only slightly pierce the corner of his head...
And sure enough... The prodigy met his mark... Striking Michael exactly where he had aimed... And then...
The armor around Michael's body broke apart... And he collapsed backwards... Lifelessly falling off of the edge of the platform showing no signs of saving himself.
'Shit!' Equan used another shatter blast of lightning, sending him flying downwards, but luckily the winds and gravity alike had begun to aid him.
He reached out, grabbing Michael's limp arm and bracing himself, but luckily...
Gideon and Kaylynn had already began to slow their incredibly fast descent... Letting them fall to the ground with a weak thud.
"I got you bro..." Equan sighed in relief, as he sat next to Michael's heavily breathing unconscious body...
Then the wall exploded...
And Gemini laughed...
Equan could not understand...
Three... No four... Not exactly...
Five figures stood in the ruins of the shattered wall...
Two of which were very obviously mimics from Chase's description he had given back in class a couple years back.
One was a giant crimson Troll with antler-like horns making him look like the devil himself... But his aura was impossible... Terrifying... Causing Equan's energy to instantly dissipate...
But that wasn't the worst of it...
Gemini had still not been subdued, meaning that Leo and Neveah had lost...
Hope instantly removed itself from Equan's heart.
He stared in horror as his vision went past the four figures... Where a singular throne stood in a room full of green fog...
On that throne...
Blood shot from Equan's nose like a rocket...
He knew for certain that the woman seated on the throne...
Was a goddess...
They had already lost...
