The woman beside Yuan Yuan slowly stood. She looked less frightened than the night before, though the bruises along her face had become more visible in daylight.
Tang Li Yue looked at her.
"Name."
The woman blinked. "Luo Mei."
"What can you do?"
Luo Mei hesitated for a moment, perhaps expecting a different question.
"I worked in a small clinic before everything happened. Mostly reception, records, cleaning instruments, preparing supplies. I am not a nurse."
Tang Li Yue's eyes sharpened.
"Can you read labels?"
"Yes."
"Can you follow instructions without improvising?"
"Yes."
"Can you count tablets properly?"
"Yes."
Tang Li Yue nodded once.
"Good. You will assist Xu Ren with the medical supplies after you rest. You do not touch anything sealed without permission. You do not give medicine to anyone without checking with me, Xu Ren, or Lu Chengran."
Luo Mei looked startled.
Then she lowered her head.
"Understood."
