"Alright... obviously I believe in you, Master, more than anyone or anything," Eta said. She looked up at me with teary eyes. The soft yellow light from the machines reflected on her white hair and made the tears in her eyes shine.
I gently brushed my thumb across her lower lip, wiping away a small drop that had fallen there. "Alpha will be fine... don't worry," I told her in a quiet voice.
"Hmm... she will be..." Eta answered with a small, low smile. She was trying her best to stay calm and normal. Then she slowly turned around. Together we looked at the large glass incubator in the center of the white room. Alpha floated peacefully inside the light-blue liquid. Soft bubbles rose around her body. The screens on the wall continued to show her heart rate and energy levels, steady but still weak.
