Chapter Twenty Eight
~Third Person's POV~
Miles away from the city, in a location that civilization has abandoned and forgotten, a woman hung, suspended from the ceiling by her arms, which were tied in handcuffs.
On the other end, a long chain was attached to the cuffs, and before the woman could let out another scream, the chain went loose and she was plunged back into the dark abyss of water below. Bubbles sprang up on the surface of the water as she struggled to breathe, her lungs burning as she gasped for oxygen.
It wasn't until the bubbles began to recede was when then pulled back up to the surface. Her coughs and gasps for breath echoed in the room as she greedily sucked up much needed air.
