The guards stood in front of the Emperor's daughter. The DEATHKNIGHTS are unsure of what to do. They were only students, but the leader, Cyrus, admired their bravery and ensured that they could win. One of the guards charged forward to strike a student, but was instantly thrown by a barrier. The DEATHKNIGHTS, now aware of their powers, attacked the guards, knocking them down one by one despite their armor protecting them. One guard sneaked up behind Ikke to strike at him, but before Cyrus could stop him, his mind went empty.
5 years ago:
(Cyrus had arrived late to find his companions already locked in combat with the gang
members. He quickly backs them up. He counts three of them, but where are the others? Taking
cover, Cyrus reloaded his weapon, his mind racing. He needed to locate the others before it
was too late. But he also needed to survive so that he could get promoted to the next rank. He
takes a poker card from his mouth and throws it as a distraction and then moves forward. He fires his weapon repeatedly, but before he could move again, time seemed to slow down,
almost out of nowhere, a net pulls him back. He tries to get away, but it is already too
late, as he gets carried to the back of a van, and everything becomes dark after.)
(When Cyrus wakes up, he notices three of his companions and Fox.
The gang leader shows up and laughs. "We gotcha! Honestly, it was such a hassle trying to catch all of you," the gang leader continued to laugh.
"But enough of that. I've had it with this DEATHKNIGHTS association. The
supernatural is not real, so we don't need you. he spoke.
(The gang leader drew a revolver and slid a single bullet into the chamber. Cyrus counted 7 chambers. He already knew what was coming. His eyes darted around the room, searching for any possible escape, but he frowned when none appeared. The weapon was dropped onto the center of the table with a heavy thud that startled them. Seeing the hesitation of the other four, Cyrus, unshaken, seized the gun and pressed it to his head and fired. click. 6/7. He did not pause to break but instead looked around to see the terrified faces of the other 4. The gang leader saw this and fired his own weapon at the table, the sound echoing as a warning. Cyrus tried to calm the room, but it only placed him in greater danger. The gang leader grew more furious, snatched the gun from the table, and fired it above Fox. The sound was deafening. The gang leader laughed and reloaded the barrel with a new bullet. Cyrus knows not to give in to fear. Once again, he grabs the gun and fires at his head. click. 6/7. One of Cyrus's companions goes for the gun this time, but Cyrus tells him to let Fox. He got ignored, as another click could be heard. 5/7. He hands the gun over to Fox with guilt in his eyes, but Cyrus runs forward and knocks the gun away, and by accident, it fires at one of the gang members. He convulses before falling dead.)
"Cyrus! What is wrong with you?! You put all of our lives in danger again!" One of his companions yelled at him. All the gang members had their rifles on Cyrus. Cyrus replied: "I'm just trying to be a good leader..." His companion yells back, "Well, you're not! If you want to be a good leader, fire all 7 at your head!" Hearing this, the gang members force Cyrus to stand away for a few seconds. The gun gets reloaded again, and it terrifies all four of them. Soon, only the sound of clicks could be heard. 3/7. With only 3 slots left, the leader forces Cyrus back to his chair and tells him to fire the last three, whoever he wants. But before Cyrus could make his move, the gang leader got sniped. Luckily, the prestigious academies had arrived, and there was also the police to back them up. The remaining gang members ran for the exit, leaving their weapons behind, and many got away.]
Back to the present:
(Cyrus arrives to save his companions. They had just finished clearing the area, and fortunately, there didn't seem to have been casualties on their side. They decide to talk about that fateful day they will never forget. Cyrus lost a lot of his companions after that, but the ones he did keep remained loyal, and Cyrus would always admire them, because he was able to achieve the top rank as a leader. Even DEATHKNIGHTS can make mistakes, no matter how powerful, and sometimes those mistakes could lead to actual death. No one in this world is immortal.
