It was Star!
Her hair was slightly disheveled and her eyes were panicked. Stupid Jake. If he could just have listened to her. She had really tried her best to signal him but noo!
But she soon came to a stop on entering the clearing. A sight she had not expected was before her. Jake was passed out on the ground with the two people Marceline and Finn talking casually. Her presence had attracted the two's attention.
Star stopped awkwardly while observing the situation. She was now sweating buckets of nervous sweat. Now that whatever problem with Jake had been handled, her own problem was ever more present. Star slowly started to turn back already seeing how Marceline's eyes were narrowing.
"So Finn, tell Jake I said high when he wakes up…" Star immediately turned her body bolting before she finished her sentence.
But she realized soon enough, while her legs were moving, she herself was not moving at all. Her legs were only kicking empty air suspended in the air.
'It's over.'
She stopped struggling then slumping in defeat. She then turned and gave a nervous smile to Marceline who was holding her clothes back.
"Oh Marceline, this is such a surprise I didn't see you there. Where have you been even. I've been looking for you everywhere! It's quite unfortunate that we were separated but good thing I've finally found you!"
Star's acting was quite impressive. Too bad for her no one was foolish enough to believe her, not Marceline and not even Finn who suddenly had a cunning smile come to him.
"Oh Star is that you. I hope you had fun at the festival but how couldn't you! We visited all those stalls, we had a food break, and we even got to see that wizard battle, a lot of fun indeed hahaha."
"Hahaha."
"Hahaha."
Finn laughed humorously, Marceline laughed mockingly and even Star laughed nervously.
"I can explain." Star tried to recover again.
"Please go ahead." Marceline urged her with a wide smile.
Adventure Time…
"So you two know each other and Star was running away when I met her earlier."
"Yep." Marceline said with a pop. A satisfied smile was now on her face.
"Ouch, you didn't have to pinch that hard." Star said while rubbing her red swollen cheeks. The symbol on them was a heartbroken heart.
"Hmph, you deserve that. Don't you know how hard I was looking for you." Marceline said with fake anger and star further lowered her head in shame. Her only shame was in being caught, otherwise, hadn't she been very successful.
"Sorry." She only said not willing to argue further.
Her words again managed to bring an interesting gaze to Finn. Looking at Marceline, hadn't Finn found her out here in the forest star gazing while singing.
That was the complete opposite of someone who was trying to search for a person. This was the reason his gaze grew even wider in amusement as their eyes met and Marceline saw the increasing dancing intensity in his eyes.
She immediately panicked, already realizing what this little demon wanted to do.
"That's it Star. It's time we leave and I take you back home, say bye to Finn and for you, I'll find you later!" Marceline immediately took Star, perfectly carrying her within her hands.
"What, wait. I still have things I want to say to Finn…Wahhhh...Bye Finn I'll come find you another time."
Marceline blasted off before Star could finisher goodbye echoing away as a long-distance fare well.
"Bye Star and Beautiful goth girl." Finn could only say, unsure even if his voice was heard.
He was waving for a while seeing their figures increasingly get small when he remembered something he had failed to mention to Marceline.
They were living in her house! She wouldn't come and kick them out like in the show right, there was no way. At least currently they knew each other so the chances of them being kicked out were low right…right!
Maybe the first thing Finn should do when he got back was look for a vey good steel brush and start scrubbing away any proof of her presence there. With Marceline's cluelessness Finn highly believed it was an effective method.
He thought about that episode again and wondered why the two had even struggled to look for a new home when their dog parent's old house was very much a viable option. Or maybe the two didn't want to go back there with there tails between their legs.
Food for thought.
"Ugh, my head. What happened. I just had this crazy dream, and you were there Finn. With this vampire and everything and I was going to sacrifice myself and save you. I was so cool. Wait, where are we even. Am I still dreaming and where did Star go."
Jake finally woke up. He had somehow managed to forget everything that had happened and even go as far at to believe t had been a dream. Truly impressive in his opinion. He was now looking around in deep confusion, unsure how he had gotten here anyway.
Finn was very willing to help him and his arm shot forward quickly, pinching Jake severely on the arm.
"Ouch, what was that for Finn." Jake complained while slapping Finn's hand away. He was very much awake now.
"Yes yes, you sweet child. It was all a dream, don't think to much about it, and star went home someone came to pick her up. Let's go home anyways it's late enough."
Finn took Jakes arm, pulling him up at the same time leading the way. Before they left, he still had some errands he needed to take care of, one for instance was picking up his sword and another was a late snack from that chameleon like chef, otherwise, the night had been fun and full of surprises.
"Hmph. I feel there's something you aren't telling me Finn but whatever." Jake scratched his head in confusion, but he shrugged not figuring anything out and continued to be lead.
The clearing remained silent for a few minutes after everyone had left but suddenly again, their was movement within the shrubbery.
A figure suddenly burst from the foliage, scurrying quickly over where Jake had initially passed out. It was a red Squirell
"Jake… why won't you respond to me JAKKKEEEE!""

Starchy: Good morning people to another beautiful day again welcome back to another episode of Starchy's Graveyard shift. It's always good to know someone's tuning in this early in the morning. And before I forget, a big shout out to Miss Cupcake who always knows how to brighten my days with a cool glass of water.
VFX: [Clapping and Whistling]
Starchy: Anyways, there's a lot to talk about today for instance, the sudden drying up of Ooo's chocolate river or rumors about the banana guard dating or even more scandalous if Peppermint butler is actually made of peppermint!
VFX: [OHHHHHH]
Starchy: But I know none of you want to hear about that normal boring stuff today, so I'll skip right ahead to what has been trending in the entirely of Ooo recently
VFX: [ Drum role]
Starchy: The blood moon festival and The Hero Selection!
VFX: [ Wild clapping]
Starchy: Yes yes quite down now and let me tell you all about it. I'll begin with my awesome adventure at the blood moon festival…

"Argh, Finn you still listen to that stuff. I already told you it's a bunch of Balone." Jake was as grumpy as normal in the morning. The only thing that made his mood better was the break first they had eaten.
"I already know that, Jake. It might be Balone, but it's definitely the good kind. One I wouldn't mind coming back and trying every now and then." Finn said casually enjoying the sunshine down on him. It was still quite early in the morning, so the sun wasn't as hot as normal. Why they had gotten up so early, that was Jake's area to explain.
"What brought this up anyways. Why the sudden visit to see Jermaine." He asked curiously but he already had a clue. Hearing the answer would only give him assurance though.
Jake was hesitant for a moment and finally broke the silence.
"I had a dream Finn a freaky weird dream. It started with a room full of Lady Rainicorn, beautiful many lady Rainicorns…" Jake trailed off, with a dreamy expression on his face practically salivating.
"Sounds like a wet dream to me." Finn said jokingly, instantly snapping Jake from his delusion.
"I'm not done explaining!"
"So, a room full of Lady Rainicorn and then suddenly, I got flung off upwards into a weird sort of cube and I found Jermaine there."
"He looked weird man, tired wearing this odd bear pajama and constantly saying some random words. It was like he hadn't been sleeping well."
"He asked about you…us and I told him we'd visit…" Jake went silent after that looking like he was thinking of something
"That's nice." Finn patted Jakes dog head comfortingly. He had his own ideas brewing. One for instance, was to get Jermaine out of his self-inflicted responsibility of taking care of their dog Dad's stuff.
And with Jermaine giving that stuff up, wouldn't it only be right that it comes to Finn to help him further and fill his Nomicon Coffers. The knowledge of the shadow warrior required a lot of alchemical material and what better place to get it than taking it from a house that would burn down with it all.
On other matters, their blood moon festival had ended with little fanfare. The remaining wizard battles had been boring so no fun there, Cornifer had already gone of by the time they came back so no goodbyes there, the vendors were their normal interesting self and the food had been good enough.
The only new addition to everything was his new sword, no his old sword which had been reformed into something even better. It was Scarlet 2.0 time

Yo guys, hope everyone is doing okay
Moving on, to not overwhelm myself I've decided to change things up a little. I will be posting 1 chapter a week with longer content form, meaning at least 2000 and above words per chapter.
But do not be dissapointed, If you want more chapter drops for the week, I will be setting a Milestone. First of my main goal is to get on the power rankings and I know we can do it, so let's give it our all
Let's start with for 300 power stones, 1 extra chapter drop. Is this number alot yes, but I belive we can do so let's do our best. If we manage to achieve this and also get into the ranking, I won't mind suffering so I can drop more chapters
