Adventure Time…
POV: Jake
The further they walked into the forest, the more prominent the destruction became. Thick trees broke in half, large footprints crushing the ground foliage and large rocks smashed into bits.
What was the creature that had done this? And why did it have the same scent as those little people that had run away on seeing them? Were they also being chased by the large monster and somehow managed to run away?
Jake regretted not approaching the little people now. He could have atleast asked them some questions on whether they had seen Finn
But he was assured of Finn's safety for the moment. First, so far he hadn't found any blood and that was already a good sign. Most importantly, Jake had seen Finn training recently so that equally made him confident. And that Ninja Book Finn carried around, it packed quite a punch, enough that it could even send him wheezing.
What assured him even further was the great ideology he had always told Finn. If all else failed, Run and never look back! Was running shameful, so what! Only staying alive mattered.
So Jake was sure Finn was fine, he was absolutely worried but that was him just being him.
What truly confused him was Finn's scent. There was something greatly off about it. That was mainly what bothered him.
"…"
His sensitive dog ears suddenly picked up the muffled sound of conversation. The first voice he could hear was definitely Finn's and that was enough to send a spike of excitement through him.
He knew his best bud was alright! Jake rushed forward immediately
"Star follow along, I've found Finn." Jake said and immediately rushed forward, following Finn's scent like a real hound.
"Yay, let's go kick some monster butt." Star cheered beside Jake, easily maintaining pace with his wild running through the forest. You could even say she was quite agile, easily jumping and maneuvering
'Its just up ahead.' Jake though his excitement growing stronger.
"…"
KRRRRR.
Suddenly and violently, Jake suddenly came to a stop, his feet digging into the ground, what had he just heard. What was this about Squishing and eating his best bud. A surge of panic instantly filled his very being.
Despite running Jake's ear had been raised high focusing in the direction he heard Finn's voice coming from.
He didn't hear what Finn said next but that was simply because Jake suddenly shrank in size, edging closer to where he could hear their voices from, his panic was so great that Jake felt his ears were failing him. The only thing he could hear was his own heartbeat.
He managed to peak into the clearing and immediately his already wildly beating heart immediately rose into his mouth.
"What did you get yourself into this time Finn." Jake muttered as he saw the creature holding his best pal within its arm.
Jake had heard the tales. Mostly from his old man. Vampires they were called. Creatures of the night hunting unknowing prey to feast on their blood. Teeth as sharp as blades and eyes the color of wine.
From Jakes perspective what he saw was not a beautiful goth girl holding and even potentially flirting with Finn within his hands. What he saw was a monster ensnaring his best bud!
That unnatural pale almost white skin looking like it was sucking the warmth from Finn's body. Those bleeding red eyes with their enchanting effect, that for an instant Jake felt his very own consciousness slip.
Those long sharp canine teeth, edging closer to his brother's neck wishing to pierce and suck the life out of him and that long black hair, Jake didn't see a problem with it but he was sure as hell their was something equally wrong with it!
He suddenly saw how the creature smiled while saying something to Finn who looked to be completely enchanted, suddenly Finn willingly offered his own neck and Jake almost fainted in shock!
Yes this creature had to be it. The legendary beast of tales his good old dad used to tell him about. The hunter of the night, the drinker of blood. A living VAMPIREEE!
But how, how was that even possible, for a vampire to still be alive. They were a matter of legend, tales told by parents to little children to spook them from doing bad things

Then how was it that Jake was seeing a living breathing example of those tales. And why of places did it have to be here. With his gullible brother who looked to be completely enchanted!?
Jake was already losing his mind! He almost turned back and bolted, but his feet were stubborn. Was Jake a coward, 100% but one thing he would never do was abandon his best bro Finn!
"Jake why did you stop…"
Jake acted faster than Star could talk. With the fastest speed he had shown so far, his hand had stretched, clamping Star's mouth shut.
In all this Jake had made no noise at all, in fact he motioned violently for Star to remain silent.
"Mphhff"
Star off course struggled to break free from the hold. Her battle princess instinct kicking In immediately. As a princess of Mewni trained by some of the most intense people in the universe, she was not one to be caught so easily.
To bad for her she had never been prepared to face a magical stretching dog.
"Star, I need you to stop struggling and keep quiet otherwise we'll all be dead."
Jake whispered furiously and Star hearing the seriousness behind his voice, stopped her violent movements. Willing to now listen.
Her eyes shined with great curiosity though. Danger, that was a word that greatly attracted her attention. Her eyes were practically shining in delight at the Jakes words.
"Finn's in trouble, really big trouble. "
That caught Star's attention, her excited eyes now serious her full attention on Jake.
"A creature of the night has her hands on him and she's planning to suck him dry, drink all his blood and eat his flesh."
Star hearing Jakes words had a sudden odd feeling. Those words, that description felt awfully familiar to how he had heard someone describing a very close friend of hers.
"You might not know what I'm talking about since you're not from Ooo but just know Finn has been captured by a Vampire!!" Jake somehow managed to whisper and shout at the same time his face suddenly hardening.
So deep in his own illusions, Jake failed to notice Star's growing shocked eyes. Vampire. Jakes words suddenly clicked. There was only one vampire Star was aware of and coincidentally, she was also at these festival and coincidence enough, she had been one of the people Star had been running away from when she met Finn.
So what was this she was hearing now. Star almost wanted to run away again not wishing to be punished signaling Jake to release her so she could speak. But Jake was to far into his fantasies.
"Star, I know you're a brave girl and you would wish to save Finn, But I will not let you do it! I won't allow anyone else to be enchanted by that Vampire! So, I will make the sacrifice myself and charge to death!."
Jake still whisper shouted. But his eyes had gone hazy, a sign that his self-hypnosis was highly effective I their results.
"Go Star, go get help. And if I'm not back don't come looking for me." Jake suddenly stretched his arm away pushing Star further away completely once again ignoring her twitching eyes and panicking movements.
"I'm coming Finn."
Jake burst from where he was hidden, his body enlarging his eyes hazy with blind confidence.
Star on touching the ground immediately went into a run, she couldn't believe the stupidity of what had just happened. She had been part of it and still she was shocked by Jakes creativity. But she had to run fast, before anything worse happened.
"Stupid Jake." She screamed silently also bursting after jake into the clearing.
Adventure Time…
"WRAAAAHHHHHHHH."
Jake burst forth from the shrubbery. His normally adorable dog form was gone now a large spike filled brutish combat ready form with his mace like arms swinging wildly with a wild battle cry.
Finn instantly knew where the bad feeling he had felt from earlier had come from, it wasn't danger but it had been something worse. Jake was attacking Marceline!
The earlier gnomes had already shown the futility of such actions. Even Jake from the original show had failed in doing so, so what had suddenly made Jake so brave as to act against a vampire whom he knew Jake was deeply afraid off.
Putting little thought into it, Finn immediately realized he was most probably the cause of all this happening. He almost slapped his head again in exasperation.
Was he just a magnet for trouble or what was suddenly wrong with everything.
"Marceline, don't hurt him, he's, my brother!" Finn said quickly, seeing how Marceline was just about to take action his words only pausing her for a moment.
She shot him an odd look, her eyes quickly going over the two, a dog and a human and then she shrugged. Hey, it wasn't the weirdest thing she had heard or seen. There was a literal floating unicorn heads in other places. This was extremely pale in comparison.
"Okay. I'll be gentle."
Jake was approaching quickly, his eyes still hazy with false braveness and hesitance. Marceline, an apex predator could clearly see all these, she could in fact smell it the scent of fear covered with courage.
'Cute.' But she had a remedy.
"Raghhhhh."
Before Jakes attacks could land, Marceline expanded, her body growing proportionately large. Her main transformation focused on her face. Gone was the beautiful pale perfection and now present was a face in Jake's mind perfectly encompassed a vampire.
A long snake-like tongue that skittered out as she hissed with an acidic like saliva.
Long sharp vampiric teeth that threatened to bit into him. Her once glossy hair moved wildly like living snakes coming to life. Even her smooth glossy skin looked to crack and jutted outwards like spikes bursting forth from the flesh.
Finally, the monster's true ugliness revealed hiding underneath and Jake… Jake was completely knocked out!
"Huhh."
The bravado Jake had built up, his false courage was instantly extinguished. With one glance he immediately passed out no fanfare and no fight just an immediate knockout.
His body transformed back into his lovable dog form as he breathed silently and peacefully.
"Hahaha. You brother is very funny Finn." Marceline teased again which he could only chuckle at awkwardly.
"Jake Stoppp! She's not dangerous and Finns not in danger…"
Right after Jake had been knocked out, another presence burst forth from the foliage with great speed immediately attracting the two's attention.
Finn was more impressed with the progression of events. Was everyone just hiding within these bushes looking for an opportunity to jump out.
Should he also do the same or was it a new trend he did not know about.

Yo guys, hope everyone is doing okay
Moving on, to not overwhelm myself I've decided to change things up a little. I will be posting 1 chapter a week with longer content form, meaning at least 2000 and above words per chapter.
But do not be dissapointed, If you want more chapter drops for the week, I will be setting a Milestone. First of my main goal is to get on the power rankings and I know we can do it, so let's give it our all
Let's start with for 300 power stones, 1 extra chapter drop. Is this number alot yes, but I belive we can do so let's do our best. If we manage to achieve this and also get into the ranking, I won't mind suffering so I can drop more chapters
