Chapter 4835 - Chapter 4835: Too Much Nonsense

Chapter 4835: Too Much Nonsense

The Primal Chaos Supreme Treasure, the Purple Gold Thunder Pagoda, erupted with world shaking power.

Completely refined by Lin Moyu, it now wielded far greater might than it ever had in the hands of the Purple Gold Emperor.

Thunder filled the divine hall, sweeping through everything.

The hall did not budge.

Its structure was indescribably solid, and Lin Moyu had no need to worry that the battle would destroy it.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk.

"So much rich Primal Chaos power.

"It has been so many years since I tasted this.

"Delicious."

Lin Moyu's expression shifted slightly.

The Primordial Savage Fiend actually bathed in the thunder unharmed and even devoured the lightning.

"Feeding on Primal Chaos does not just mean devouring worlds.

"It can swallow all Primal Chaos power."

"Primal Chaos is the peak of worlds.

"The power of all heavens and earth derives from it.

"If it can devour Primal Chaos, then weaker powers are naturally useless against it."

"Let us test something else."

Lin Moyu summoned the Living Beings' Chessboard.

It unfolded into a world of its own, complete with rules and order.

The Primordial Savage Fiend stood within the chessboard realm, yet the rules did not touch it its strength was not suppressed at all.

"A self contained heaven and earth.

"Not bad, not bad.

"Though incomplete, it will do as an appetizer."

With a shrill laugh, the fiend opened its mouth and swallowed.

The world within the chessboard shattered, and its rules turned into streaks of light that were gulped down.

The chessboard reverted to its original shape, now covered in cracks.

A Primal Chaos Supreme Treasure could heal itself, but once damaged too severely in its very foundation, it would still break.

This treasure had reached that point.

It shattered.

The Primordial Savage Fiend licked its tongue like it had eaten a gourmet dish.

"Little one, got any more?

"Bring out another for this seat to taste."

Lin Moyu snorted.

"In that case, let me give you something to try."

He swung the Calamity Scepter.

Endless afterimages of the staff descended on the creature's head.

The fiend, relaxed and ready to enjoy its meal, had let down its guard.

It only reacted when the blow was almost on it, far too late.

Boom.

The Primordial Savage Fiend was smashed to the ground.

Cracks appeared in the scales on its body.

Seeing this, Lin Moyu swung the Calamity Scepter again, aiming straight at its head.

With a screech, the fiend's body turned to mist and vanished, reappearing in the far corner of the hall in the next instant.

Its eyes glared savagely at Lin Moyu or more accurately, at the Calamity Scepter.

"How do you have that?"

Watching its reaction, Lin Moyu thought, "Just as expected the Calamity Scepter is of a higher level than Primal Chaos itself."

The fiend stared for several breaths, then suddenly cackled.

"So it is only an imitation.

"You startled this seat I thought it was the real thing."

"So, you have some connection with that old bastard.

"Once I eat your soul, I will know everything."

It twisted its body and rushed forward.

Its speed was terrifying.

In a blink, it was in front of Lin Moyu.

He swept the Calamity Scepter at its head.

Its wings lashed out to meet the blow.

With a thunderous crash, Lin Moyu was flung back by an overwhelming force.

In that instant, the divine hall expanded.

Space stretched into infinity, turning into a vast void battlefield.

"What terrifying power."

The rebound traveled from the Calamity Scepter into his palm, splitting the skin in several places.

For his physical body to be injured by the recoil alone this thing's strength was monstrous.

The fiend stretched lazily.

"Nice body you have, but compared to this seat, still far too weak."

It vanished again and appeared before him, claws raking for his head.

They were unbelievably sharp.

Even before they reached him, Lin Moyu felt his skin splitting and a sharp sting.

The attack ignored his innate talents.

The damage he took could not be diverted to others, and his rebirth talent seemed suppressed as well.

The Calamity Scepter moved on its own, blocking once more.

Another boom.

Lin Moyu was sent flying again.

The tremendous force ripped through him, making his bones feel like they would snap.

This strike was several times stronger than the last.

"Terrifying strength."

He could feel clearly how far beyond him the fiend's power was.

More frightening still, each attack carried a strange aura utterly opposed to his own rules, one that suppressed his talents.

If he died here, there was an eight to nine chance his rebirth would fail.

That intuition felt absolutely right.

The Primordial Savage Fiend darted back and forth with incredible speed, each instant movement followed by a brutal assault.

Lin Moyu was knocked away over and over, and if not for the Calamity Scepter guarding him, he would already be dead.

After a long barrage, the fiend finally paused.

Lin Moyu's body was covered in wounds.

Though superficial, they healed very slowly.

A strange force lingered in each wound, clashing with his own power and slowing his recovery.

His gaze grew solemn.

"No wonder all restrictions were removed this is meant to show me that aside from formations, no other method works."

"No that is not entirely true.

"The Calamity Scepter works, but my own strength is too weak to truly oppose this Primordial Savage Fiend."

"Its power is not unimaginably high, but it perfectly suppresses me, as if precisely calculated."

"There are more than seventy halls ahead.

"If more fiends appear, each one will only be stronger than the last."

"It is clear enough now."

He understood the intent of the unknown master.

That being wanted him to use the Formation Dao to suppress and kill the Primordial Savage Fiend.

Not only this one, but those yet to come this was only the beginning.

The fiend stretched again, as if finishing a warm up.

"Now that the warm up is over, this seat will feast.

"You will die screaming, and your soul will be my dessert."

Lin Moyu snorted.

"Too much nonsense."

His fingers twitched.

Runes flew out and formed a grand array; a formation spirit emerged.

His fingertips trembled continuously, scattering runes like raindrops.

In an instant, hundreds of grand arrays took shape.

Hundreds of formation spirits appeared and charged the Primordial Savage Fiend at once.

"Laughable tricks."

The fiend screeched and beat its wings, blasting the spirits back.

It did not attempt to devour them.

The path of formations had already surpassed Primal Chaos.

A man like Lin Moyu, whose formations were perfect, had formed a self contained system independent of Primal Chaos power.

The fiend could devour Primal Chaos, but not formation spirits.

It could only tear them apart with brute force.

Hundreds of spirits besieged the fiend.

Individually, they were far inferior to it, but with sheer numbers they managed to hold it for a while.

Lin Moyu did not summon his Undying Undead soldiers.

They still depended on Primal Chaos power, and would be nothing but food in front of this monster.

There was no point.

Nor did he harbor any delusion that a few hundred formation spirits could actually kill the fiend.

Their only purpose was to buy him a tiny bit of time no more than two or three breaths.

The Primordial Savage Fiend was too fast, and even he needed a sliver of time to lay down a formation.

"It seems my Formation Dao must be strengthened again.

"All grand arrays must be formed at the speed of thought."

He knew well how powerful formations were self contained and complete but their only flaw was that the most potent arrays still required time to arrange.

The interval was short, only a few breaths, yet in some situations those few breaths were impossible to obtain.

His Formation Dao had to grow stronger still, until every array could be formed in an instant.

Perfection in formations and then surpassing even that.

He did not know if such a realm existed or if it was only wishful thinking.

The hundreds of formation spirits earned him three breaths.

By the time they were shredded and the fiend's shrill laughter rang out again, ten grand arrays had already formed.
