Chapter 4834 - Chapter 4834: Primordial Savage Fiend

Chapter 4834: Primordial Savage Fiend

Crossing the divine road, Lin Moyu arrived before the twenty first divine hall.

A curtain of flowing golden light fell like a waterfall, enveloping the entire hall.

"This is different."

The hall had changed.

That shimmering golden curtain was actually a formation a powerful suppression and sealing array.

Such a formation was usually used to suppress mighty beings and seal terrifying existences that were difficult to kill.

Yet Lin Moyu could not imagine what sort of existence needed this level of sealing.

He did not know what was inside, but he clearly sensed danger and had no choice but to treat this place with utmost caution.

He studied the array, trying to see through it into the hall while also reflecting on his journey through these divine halls.

Since the "supreme Master" mentioned by the hall spirit had arranged all of this, there had to be a reason.

"The first ten halls made me retrace my path along the Formation Dao, deepening my comprehension and laying the foundation for a perfected Formation Dao."

"The following ten halls were meant to clarify my Dao heart and let me truly achieve perfection in formations."

"The sealing array in front of this hall is not difficult for me to undo.

"There is no way he intends to trouble me with this.

"The real difficulty must lie with what is being sealed inside the divine hall."

"Perfection in the Formation Dao exists to deal with that thing inside.

"In other words, aside from formations, no other method can handle it."

Lin Moyu arrived at his own conjecture.

He did not know if it was entirely correct, but it felt right.

He had always trusted his deductions they had never failed, and they would not fail now.

"If the guess is right, this should be where the restrictions are lifted, so I can use all my methods again."

He approached the array and lightly pressed his hand against it.

This sealing formation was designed to face inward, not outward.

As long as it was not attacked, it would not retaliate.

The moment his hand touched it, a beam of light shot out from the formation and wrapped around him.

A familiar voice sounded at his ear the Primal Chaos Gem.

"Master, I am back."

Lin Moyu grunted acknowledgment and drew out the Calamity Scepter, then took out the Primal Chaos Jade Formation Disc.

The disc glittered brightly, clearly usable again.

The Living Beings' Chessboard and the Purple Gold Thunder Pagoda were likewise freed of their seals and could be used normally.

He closed his eyes briefly and sensed that he could once more connect to the Word God Heaven and Earth, though only to borrow its power.

He could not sense what was happening inside it, nor contact Little Tree.

The spell realm, however, was unhindered: trillions of Undying Undead soldiers stood ready to be summoned.

The vast power of faith was also at his disposal.

His combat strength had returned to its peak.

"As expected the master of this hall is telling me that aside from formations, other methods are pointless."

"In that case, let me see exactly what has been sealed inside."

He tapped lightly, and the protective light of his Dao heart flared, allowing him to step directly into the formation.

He did not immediately break the array.

Instead, he chose to merge with it.

This way, the sealing formation remained intact; whatever was inside the hall had no chance of escaping.

At the same time, he, having melded into the formation, would remain unaffected and could even use its power to suppress the entity.

Inside the hall, countless starlike points of light glimmered, and only the array's rosy glow suppressed them, illuminating the space.

A single statue stood at the center, shaped like a huge eagle curled in on itself.

Its feathers were covered in backward facing barbs, each razor sharp and glinting with cold light.

Lin Moyu instinctively felt that even with his powerful body, he would still be wounded if struck by it.

Just one glance told him that this creature was more terrifying than any being he had ever encountered.

It had clearly not yet awakened, but the aura it released filled him with revulsion.

"What is this thing?" he murmured.

The statue suddenly trembled, and a mass of soul flame burst forth, shooting straight to the sky.

The soul flame before him was the strongest he had ever seen stronger even than that of a Primal Chaos apex powerhouse.

It was also…strange.

Lin Moyu had never seen anything like it.

"Gray soul flame, full of death…"

Ordinarily, the soul flame of any living being contained life force.

Yet this flame was saturated with death utterly abnormal.

Moreover, the space around it was being annihilated, as if the flame could devour everything.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk.

"It has been so many years, and finally someone has come."

A shrill voice rang out, like needles stabbing straight into the soul.

Lin Moyu's spirit ached and felt extremely uncomfortable.

From sheer instinct, he felt an intense disgust for the speaker.

"An extra world being."

He blurted out the answer.

That particular disgust was quite familiar.

Back in the Great World, he had felt something similar toward beings from other worlds.

"Could it be that there are heavens and earth beyond the Forbidden Zone of Life?"

More doubts surfaced in his heart, yet these thoughts felt unreal and clashed with everything he knew.

The shrill voice screeched again.

"If I eat you, I will be free."

Lin Moyu asked, "What exactly are you?"

The statue suddenly moved.

Its wings unfurled with a roar, revealing its true form.

It did indeed resemble a giant eagle in some ways, but far more savage and hideous.

Lin Moyu could not even accurately describe its appearance.

It seemed different every time he looked, as if its form changed with each glance.

"This is a monster a supremely dangerous monster."

He thought of the wild beasts that roamed the realms.

There was a hint of similarity, but this creature was many times more dangerous than any of them.

As it awoke, the power of the grand array waned.

The creature did not rush to attack.

Instead, it stretched its body and spoke.

"This seat is a Primordial Divine Beast."

Lin Moyu snorted.

"The divine beasts I have seen are nowhere near that ugly."

"Silence!" the beast roared.

"How dare you insult a divine beast this seat will devour you."

At that moment, a phantom appeared above the hall, and a vast pressure descended, forcing the beast's words back down its throat.

Lin Moyu frowned.

Instinctively, he felt this phantom was familiar, as though he had seen it somewhere before.

"If this guess is right," he thought, "this should be the supreme Master the hall spirit spoke of."

The phantom's voice was majestic.

"This creature is the Primordial Savage Fiend, which feeds on Primal Chaos.

"Today, the two of you shall battle.

"The victor lives; the loser dies."

With a single sentence, the rules were set.

The phantom faded, and the power of the sealing formation withdrew from the hall.

Lin Moyu could still sense the array outside.

Even if he lost, the Primordial Savage Fiend would still remain sealed, unable to escape.

He understood the other party's intentions.

This was yet another trial, meant to force him to kill the fiend.

If he failed, the next challenger would eventually come, though who knew how many years that would take.

At the very least, the Primordial Savage Fiend had no way out.

"Primordial Savage Fiend, which feeds on Primal Chaos…

"So it devours worlds.

"I wonder what else it can do."

His thoughts raced as he muttered, "What 'Primordial Divine Beast'?

"Turns out it is a Primordial Savage Fiend.

"No wonder it is so ugly."

The jab enraged the monster again.

It shrieked, "Old bastard, how dare you lock me up for so many years?

"This seat will tear you apart one day.

"For now, I will start with you.

"I will eat you, devour your bloodline and kin, swallow your heavens and earth…"

Before it could finish, a bolt of purple gold divine thunder crashed down on its body, turning the entire hall into a sea of lightning.
