As expected, the person who knows Ash the best is still his mother.
He was really happy to see Misty, and he talked endlessly about things during the trip, and of course Risa. If he was left alone, he would probably keep talking until dawn.
He obviously stayed up late, but after breakfast the next day, Ash made an appointment with Misty and went to Professor Oak Laboratory. Ash's current body does not need that much sleep.
Delia was making Ash's favorite food at home, but the doorbell rang at this moment. Mr. Mime opened the door, only to see three Pokémon—Combusken, Bulbasaur and Munchlax—appear at the door.
"Hello, good afternoon!" May finally arrived, but the first thing she did was to visit Delia.
Her mother, Caroline, and Delia have become very good friends, so the first thing she was kindly told to do when she arrived in Pallet Town was to visit Ash's home, to which she happily accepted the order. After all, this was her future mother-in-law.
"May, welcome! Ash and the others are going to Professor Oak's Laboratory. Please, sit down for a moment, and I'll go with you later!" Delia smiled and invited one of her future daughter-in-laws to sit down. The delicious food she cooked was perfect for May, who was a notable foodie, thus she had no ability to resist.
The Professor Oak Laboratory, for most Trainers who set out from Pallet Town, they will send all but six of their Pokémon here, forming a stable ecological home.
But now, the large number of Pokémon here have slowly been led by Ash's Pokémon and obeyed their management. Even the somewhat unruly ones from Gary's rosters
What's interesting is that in the near future, a
Rookie Trainer will be ready to set off on their own Pokémon journey, so now Max is checking out the new batch of the three Royal Kanto Region Starters with Misty and Tracey.
"Everyone is so small and cute!" This is actually the second time Max has seen the trio, but every time he sees them, he is full of love and admiration for them.
"As far as Pokémon for newbies are concerned, this is the most suitable!" Misty was very happy, in her own world. She got the Totodile she dreamed of.
Now she already has a powerful Trump Card, a Flamethrower-capable Gyarados. Now she believes that if she trained Totodile properly like Ash told her to and what she remembered from his own training, her strength will be greatly improved.
Max looked at the cute and cute Squirtle and reached out to touch it, but before he could get close, the little guy started crying.
He got so scared that he quickly retracted his hand, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!"
Now that he had apologized, Squirtle yelled twice in displeasure and stuffed food into his mouth, eyes still watering on his face.
"Max, don't worry, this little guy has a very cry-loving personality," Tracey smiled as he had completed the observation portraits of the little ones in front of him.
"By the way, where is Ash?" Misty woke early in the morning, but even then didn't see Ash.
"Oh, Ash was called away by the Professor as soon as he came. It seems that the reward for catching Rayquaza can finally be given to him." Tracey replied with a smile. Ash, him and Misty, that was the group that went on the trip to the Orange Islands, so their unity was naturally very good.
Now that Ash has such strength and has reached such a height, he is really really happy for his dear friend.
"I see, I really want to know what kind of reward Professor Oak got for Ash, after all, it is for a Rayquaza," Misty is also looking forward to Professor Oak's reward.
After eating, the little starters started to yawn one by one. Misty smiled and said, "Tracey, I think it's time for these guys to rest!"
"Yeah, it's really their time to rest."
Tracey fetched three Poké Balls, and Max immediately came over, "I'll help you do this!"
The two in front of his didn't know what happened the last time he took care of the Hoenn Royal Starters. If Ash hadn't been watching, Torchic would have run out.
But now that same Torchic has evolved into a powerful Blaziken.
Max took the Poké Ball and took back Charmander and Bulbasaur, "Squirtle, it's your turn!"
Seeing his two companions disappearing, Squirtle suddenly panicked. Not willing to cooperate with Max, he jumped off the table and ran towards the stairs.
Fortunately, May and Delia happened to come over at this time, and Squirtle actually jumped directly into May's arms.
"Sis?" Max suddenly exclaimed.
Holding Squirtle in her arms, May scolded him, "Max, how could you scare such a cute little Pokémon?" She also lightly hit him on the head.
After the beating, she remembered, "Max… why are you here?"
Just as Max was about to explain, Professor Oak and Professor Birch came back with Ash. Professor Birch opened his mouth and explained, "May, it was me who brought Max here."
Max explained to May again, but Ash said, "Professor Birch, don't do unnecessary things next time."
"What, Big Bro, how can it be unnecessary?!" Max protested loudly.
Since May plans to participate in the Kanto Region Pokémon Contest, and Ash decides to challenge the Kanto Region Battle Frontier, the two of them can travel together again.
Now that May has grown into a Pokémon Trainer who can take on her own role, she believe she will be able to help her boyfriend.
"Sis, Big Bro, I want to go too! Take me!" Max quickly offered to join in.
But May immediately refused him and said, "Max, you have to discuss it with mom and dad first. If they agree, and then Ash agrees, then you can go!"
At first, Norman gave Ralts' Egg to Ash in order to let Ash take Max on the trip (so he can make a new sibling for the siblings). Now the journey to the Hoenn Region is over, and Max has been safely returned to the Petalburg City Gym.
This time on another journey, Ash won't be that easy to talk to. He'll definitely get something worthwhile from his future father-in-law!
'Yes, I'll definitely do it!' He thought, very sincerely.
"Ah… why? Why has the world forsaken me!" Max was anxious now and hurriedly went to call Norman and Caroline, but was stopped by Ash.
Ash looked at Misty, "It's a rare occasion, let's go to the backyard to see the Pokémon!"
"Oh yeah, that's a great idea! I can finally see all of your Pokémon!" Max cheered up immediately.
When the group came to the backyard, the first thing they saw was Ash's Snorlax. It was sleeping on the hillside near the Laboratory. It looked like a big meat mountain and had a very strong sense of presence.
"It's really much bigger than the Snorlax than the one we saw in the banana park! It's so soft when you look closer!" For Max, it was eye-opening. He had never seen such a big Snorlax before.
"Snorlax, I'm back!" Ash patted it gently, and saw that Snorlax instantly woke up and said hello while lying down.
Seeing this, May had a flash of inspiration and held out three Poké Balls, "Everyone, come out!"
This time May came to the Kanto Region with only three Pokémon. Beautifly stayed at home with Caroline, and Skitty and Gorebyss also stayed in the greenhouse at home to train a little under her dads Pokémon's.
"Munchlax, look, this is Ash's Snorlax!" May wanted her Munchlax to meet this powerful older version of itself, hoping hers would stop being so lazy.
Sure enough, Munchlax was overjoyed to see Snorlax.
Seeing May's three Pokémon, Misty asked curiously, "Oh yeah, Ash, what did Professor Oak give you?"
Hearing this, Ash threw a Poké Ball, "Come out, Eevee!"
