Chapter 301 - Chapter 300 - Protecting His People.

[Chapter Size: 2400 Words.]

Third Person POV

Great Britain.

...

...

The events in Japan had ended, but the world had not rested with the new emergence of a portal in Cokeworth, England, an industrial and poor town.

Now, upon learning of the terror of those portals and the kind of monsters that came out of them, immediately not only England panicked at seeing one of its skies the same way as Toyo, but all of Great Britain and even countries around the entire world became worried.

How many more portals would begin to appear in the world? People tried to find out what they meant. Questions arose from all sides. No one knew the answer, but everyone knew someone who might have them.

The name Severus Prince was bombarded from all sides that same morning, some demanding answers, others begging.

He had to make a decision. After analyzing the portal in his childhood town, he knew that not only would he be affected by all the chaos that was being created, but also the people connected to him. He needed to leave Prince Manor.

He had left Cokeworth after speaking with Lily and her family, and returned to Prince Manor to explain the situation to his uncle after waking him up.

Severus then departed once more. While the girls were still sleeping, he went to Diagon Alley, entering directly into the office of his bank manager inside Gringotts, who was startled the moment he saw him teleporting there.

"What?!", he exclaimed, dropping his papers. He was visibly frightened. Severus materialized in front of him, before widening his eyes upon seeing who it was.

"Lord Prince...", he said, his eyes widening even more after seeing the enormous aura that Severus now possessed.

'By the goblin gods!' he swallowed internally as he felt the dense aura. Severus Prince was far more powerful than the first time he had seen him enter the bank. The manager himself had witnessed the growth of his power with every visit he made, but on that occasion, he had already been powerful enough to make any goblin tremble, yet now he was hundreds of times stronger.

The goblin wondered how someone could have so much power, if that being was even still human after everything... something he had not believed even before.

Now, the feeling was even more intense. It was no wonder he saw all the newspapers showing how Severus had dealt with the giants in Japan when no one else could. He was being declared a world hero at that moment, but Severus seemed to be there with a much more serious expression than one of celebration; there was no feeling of pride or arrogance when the entire world was singing praises along with the concerns about the new portal.

"Hello. It's been a few days...", he said simply, with a certain indifference.

'A few days and you look like some kind of god... If the rumors are true that he revived the giants, then in the shadow beneath him, there is an army that can destroy an entire country!' The goblin seemed to debate intensely within his own mind.

He tried to hide his thoughts and forced a smile at Severus Prince. "It's been a long time, Lord Prince. I was just astonished... Our bank has magical protections that deny apparition. How did you manage to appear right in front of me? I was just surprised," the goblin murmured, clearly worried.

"You have every reason to be worried, but that no longer works on me," Severus replied, before sitting down in the chair in front of the goblin. "I need a favor from you. I want to buy a manor, and it has to be something immediate and something that should not belong to the Princes. I want it to belong to a foreign name, the same name you placed on my potion franchise," Severus said, while the goblin nodded.

"Speaking of which, do you really need to hide this? People no longer see you as a criminal. Now, they would line up to buy from your shops, especially since we have already managed to open new branches in more than twelve countries, we're just having stock problems..." the goblin murmured, who had certainly been working a lot in the past few weeks.

Before Severus Prince's trial began at the Wizengamot, the strength of the franchise had been gaining more and more ground, and the vaults — which already guaranteed the family the title of richest in Great Britain — simply increased even further, with so many galleons coming in. Even the crisis in Japan caused wizards from all over the world to start buying potions, whether to donate to Japan or even to keep for themselves, to be more prepared when that reached them.

The shops had completely dried up, but he had still not brought the matter up with Severus, since he had disappeared for about thirteen days and had only returned yesterday from Japan.

Severus simply shook his head. "No. Not yet. I won't do that now. First, we need to deal with the new portal in England and see if others won't appear after that..."

Severus seemed a little frustrated as he said this. It was one problem after another. Suddenly, in less than a month, the world was turned upside down, far more than during the year and a half Severus spent as a student at Hogwarts.

"I understand. Here are the reports from your shops and the franchise. But, getting back to the matter, that's fine. We can look into it. Since there are some manors for sale, do you have any preference?"

"I want it to be as isolated as possible, to hide not only me, but also multiple families," Severus said.

Obviously, attention was also falling on his fiancées and acquaintances. People questioned why Severus's fiancées could hurt giants when no one else could. Blackmail, threats, and kidnappings were real possibilities. People were desperate and could do anything to obtain answers. He would, obviously, not allow that to happen and would place them in a safe location.

Severus read the report while the goblin began to call some subordinates, snapping his fingers. They started organizing papers, all greeting Severus with fear and trembling.

In the end, his manager presented a chosen village in the mountains of Scotland, not very far from Hogwarts and quite peaceful. Severus accepted. Despite there being a giant village nearby, that was not what would bother him.

"I want a set of portkey keys and the keys immediately. I want you to perform the ritual while I organize things," Severus said, cutting his hand with a blade. Then, he threw his blood into the vial where the goblin himself would perform the property ritual, being able to control the place however he wished.

Severus's haste was evident. The goblin did not even question it, only watched as he handed over the vial and took the box full of portkey keys, with the key to the village.

"I expect everything to be ready in half an hour," Severus said, standing up.

He did not even ask the price, nor did he speak about his shops with empty stock, while the house-elves who took care of them were somewhat desperate. He simply turned his back and left, disappearing, while a knock on the door came shortly after.

In the blink of an eye, the door opened. A goblin, none other than the royal messenger, came to the manager.

"I am looking for Lord Prince. The king wishes to invite him to meet," said the goblin, as the manager widened his eyes.

The goblin king never took an interest in humans, but at the same time, he could not be surprised by the chaos happening on the surface. There had never been an invitation from the goblin king to any human in the last 100 years, no matter how privileged the family was. Severus would be the first.

"Unfortunately, it is already too late. I am sorry, he has already left, and I have things to do. Lord Prince needs me," he said kindly, leaving that room while running with a vial of Severus's blood to finish the village ownership ritual.

Afterward, they would take the amount it had cost from the Prince vaults, without even trying to cheat him. After all, who would be crazy enough to deceive someone like the Monarch of Shadows, as some people in the world were now calling him? Even greedy goblins like them knew they needed to be cautious when dealing with Lord Prince.

Severus returned to Prince Manor, while his fiancées were already awake. He spoke with each of them, talking about his plan. They immediately understood.

Severus went with each of them to their homes, with the exception of Rosária, who did not need to worry. Her father was Dracula; no one would bother her, unless they wanted to attract the fury of the countless vampires he commanded.

The first house Severus went to was Pandora's, and there were certainly government people already there. It would not take long for witches to appear as well. Severus cast a spell that easily put them to sleep. He spoke with Pandora's father and explained the situation. Shortly after that, he accepted the alternative of going to an isolated place until the crisis passed, and they departed.

After that, he went to the Greengrass family, and Lord Greengrass and his wife also agreed.

The Black family did not refuse either.

While Severus was away inside the portal facing the Architect, the Ministry carried out a search and sweep based on the list Severus had received from Astraea Black, about the people who were with Voldemort and working within the Ministry. This happened before the Japan crisis and while he was still missing; there were mass arrests.

People were tried and taken to Azkaban, putting an end once and for all to any remnants of Voldemort and his actions.

Severus appeared with Bellatrix; he found her family, and Narcissa was also there. She greeted Severus, questioning her sister about how she had managed to do that in Japan, which she had read about in the newspapers.

In the end, the Black family also departed for the village. Narcissa returned to Malfoy Manor, and Lucius would certainly not accept the request to go to the village that Severus made for Narcissa. Obviously, Severus would not do that for him, but for Narcissa.

After that, almost everyone was already being taken to the village, which already had the ritual completed. Severus handed a house key to each of them. The place was quite cozy and calm, with a lake and every kind of pleasure that nature could provide, a relaxing and safe environment.

Finally, Severus left the village once more and returned to Cokeworth, where he found the Evans with their bags ready.

"I'm not going. I'm going to my fiancé's house. They're already coming to get me. I don't need that—" Petunia stopped at that moment, because she had just seen Severus standing in front of her, one eyebrow raised. She was so surprised that she was unable to finish her anger, and her face turned white.

"So, Petunia? That what?", Severus asked, in an almost amused tone.

That woman was arrogant, overbearing, and bitter, someone who would always be like that. Still, Severus never missed the chance to mock and even joke about her when he had the opportunity.

She simply shuddered and ran outside with her bags.

"Petunia, stop!", Miss Evans shouted, but she was already out of sight.

Shortly after, a car stopped and picked her up, driving away without looking back.

"Why is she like that?", Lily murmured. Mr. Evans appeared at that moment with the bags.

"Let's go. Are you ready?", Severus asked as they nodded.

Severus simply summoned his staff and made everyone disappear, reappearing in the new village shortly afterward. He handed a key to Mr. Evans and pointed to the two-story house with a deck facing the lake.

"You'll stay here. I'm relocating about a hundred house-elves to take care of things in the village, you can call for them."

"A hundred house-elves?!", she exclaimed, stunned. "I thought you only had four."

"Actually, I have some taking care of my shops, but they're closed due to lack of stock... I own the 'The Veiled Flask' franchise," Severus said.

"The Veiled Flask? Are you saying you own the biggest franchise that's grown over the last few months? The biggest in all of Great Britain?", Lily asked, her eyes widening even more.

Severus merely shrugged. "You could say that, yes. After all, I remember that my name wasn't doing very well at the time. They were calling me the Dark Lord, and I had to close my shop in Diagon Alley. It was still destroyed; it hadn't even been repaired after what the Death Eaters had done."

She was left speechless, while Lily's mother looked at the house and whistled. "This is huge. We'll be staying in this house?", she could hardly believe it.

Severus nodded and left her family as he headed toward the main house of the village, together with his uncle, who appeared holding a key.

"I won't get in your way with your fiancées, Severus. I'll stay in the house next door. You just need to bring the databases to me, so I can work in peace," he said, with a smile.

'A Prince was a Prince.' Severus did not let himself murmur....

He then did what his great-uncle asked and moved important items. He did this for his uncle, setting up a good laboratory, removing everything from Prince Manor and placing it in a room in the house where he would stay.

Severus also created a training area, now easily due to his magical powers, while the staff replicated the training area of Prince Manor. He also brought his Graphorns and left them grazing outside the houses; the female was pregnant.

Now, with all the families connected to him potentially being targets of malicious actions, Severus was prepared to face the questions and the stares of the world, with the interviews that everyone wanted. He needed to do this; it had already taken too long.

Severus left the village with shadows protecting it from anyone who might try something and departed, heading toward the Ministry of Magic.
