Chapter 120 - It’s You... Shimizu Yuto!

Chapter 120: It's You... Shimizu Yuto!

Not long after Kei returned with the drinks, Kikyo "tricked" Ike Kanji and Yamauchi Haruki into coming to the library.

The moment they saw Yuto and Suzune, both of them looked miserable.

"Sorry for calling you two out."

Kikyo clasped her hands together and wore an apologetic expression.

"Horikita-san sincerely asked for my help. She has something she wants to say to you."

"W-What is it? Did we... do something wrong?!"

Ike asked while trembling in panic.

Yuto and the others looked at him in surprise.

Wasn't this guy overreacting?

Yuto took a sip of his honey latte and raised an eyebrow.

"You two look terrified just because Horikita called you here."

"Did you secretly do something bad involving her?"

Why would they be so afraid of Suzune if they had done nothing wrong?

Suzune's fox-like eyes sharpened too.

"N-No! Absolutely not!" Ike loudly denied it.

"We're only surprised that Horikita called us again!"

"That's right!"

At that moment, Yuto's phone sounded with a Line notification.

He checked it, then glanced at Kikyo, whose hands were hidden beneath the table.

The message had come from her.

Kikyo had sent Yuto several screenshots of a group chat.

After opening them, Yuto finally understood why Ike and Yamauchi were so afraid of Suzune.

A month had passed since school began.

The students' social circles had mostly formed, so each group had created its own Line chat room.

The screenshots contained messages from Ike and the others.

[I'm furious! That woman Horikita Suzune went too far!] — Ike Kanji

[Exactly! She's so arrogant. No wonder she's always alone!] — Yamauchi Haruki

[If that demon Shimizu Yuto hadn't been there, Sudo probably would've beaten Horikita up.] — Ike Kanji

[Tch, that's right! If that bastard Shimizu Yuto hadn't stopped me, I really would've taught that awful woman a lesson!] — Sudo Ken

[Hahaha, actually hitting Horikita-san would cause serious trouble, wouldn't it? That's going too far. We're classmates, so we should get along.] — Kushida Kikyo

[Kikyo-chan is so kind, but Horikita Suzune is too infuriating! Who wants to get along with her?] — Ike Kanji

[I can't let this anger go without teaching her a lesson. Why don't we bully her and make her cry? We could hide her indoor shoes.] — Yamauchi Haruki

[Are you an elementary school kid? Still, I might want to see her looking panicked!] — Sudo Ken

The remaining screenshots were mostly complaints about Suzune and discussions about getting revenge on her.

Those guys had even considered retaliating against Yuto as well.

Yuto narrowed his eyes slightly as he read the messages.

As expected, useless people who only knew how to complain were better off being expelled.

Keeping them around would only be irritating.

Since they were chatting online, they had become fearless and freely vented all their anger toward others.

However, judging from how Ike and Yamauchi were almost trembling, they were merely keyboard warriors.

They did not actually have the courage to bully Suzune.

[Thanks, Kikyo. You helped me again.]

Kikyo lowered her head and read Yuto's reply.

The corners of her lips rose as pleasure from being praised filled her heart.

Moreover, that happiness felt stronger than any praise she had received before.

It gave her far more satisfaction.

Kikyo had not expected one compliment from Yuto to make her this happy.

While she remained immersed in that happiness, she completely failed to notice Ike and Yamauchi frantically signaling her.

The two worried that Suzune had discovered the contents of the group chat and had "threatened" Kikyo into tricking them into coming here.

That was not the case.

However, Kikyo had secretly sent screenshots of their conversation to Yuto.

At that moment, Sudo arrived at the library too.

When he saw Yuto and Suzune, his expression became equally unpleasant.

He probably shared Ike and Yamauchi's suspicions.

Sudo thought the demon Shimizu Yuto and that awful woman Horikita Suzune had discovered the group chat and called them here to punish them.

He regretted it.

Had he known Yuto would discover it, he would never have mentioned taking revenge on him in the chat.

Believing their messages had been exposed, Sudo and the other two felt extremely guilty.

That guilt also made them much more obedient.

Soon, the three learned why Suzune had asked Kikyo to bring them here.

It was not because of the group chat.

Suzune wanted to continue tutoring them.

Once they learned that, all three sighed in relief.

Then they immediately began complaining and objecting.

In short, they had no desire to continue receiving Suzune's instruction.

Yuto could not be bothered listening to these three failures giving up on themselves.

He took Kei's soft hand.

"Let's go, Kei. It's too noisy here. We'll study somewhere else."

"Mm!"

Kei happily left the table with Yuto.

Kikyo watched them leave with a resentful gaze.

Yuto had praised her for being helpful only moments ago, yet now he had abandoned her here.

How awful!

...

More than half an hour later, Yuto lightly tickled Kei's waist while she leaned against his shoulder and examined a problem.

The sensation made her laugh happily.

"Yuto, what are you doing? That tickles!"

Kei looked at him with a sweet smile.

"I need to use the bathroom."

"Fine~"

Kei stopped leaning against him and let him leave.

On his way to the bathroom, Yuto passed the area where Suzune and the others were sitting.

To his surprise, Sudo, Ike, and Yamauchi were actually sitting obediently and studying.

"Horikita really persuaded them?" Yuto said in surprise.

Dozens of minutes had passed since Yuto and Kei left.

Yet Sudo and the others were still here instead of leaving the library.

That truly was unexpected.

Yuto glanced at them, then continued toward the bathroom.

On his way back, he heard an extremely dissatisfied male voice.

"Hey, you people sitting in the corner! Keep it down!"

"You're making too much noise! This is a library!"

"Sorry, sorry! I got too excited because I answered the question correctly!"

Yuto recognized Ike's voice.

It always carried a foolish tone, making it easy to identify.

"Nonsense. Why would answering one question make you that happy...?"

"Huh? Don't tell me you people are from Class D."

Since the last sentence carried a mocking tone, the short-tempered Sudo immediately retorted angrily.

"What are you trying to say?"

"So what if we're from Class D? Do you have a problem with that?!"

"No, no. I don't have any problem at all."

"I'm Tokito Hiroya from Class 1-C. Nice to meet you."

Tokito Hiroya was the only student in Class C who openly opposed Ryuen Kakeru.

Although he claimed to have no problem with Sudo and the others, his expression was full of arrogance and ridicule.

He clearly looked down on the students of Class D.

"How should I put this?"

"I'm truly glad this school separates classes based on ability," Tokito mocked.

"I couldn't bear being forced to study alongside people at the absolute bottom like you."

"What did you say?!"

Sudo was like an explosive that detonated with the slightest spark.

How could he tolerate such mockery?

He immediately stood, rolled up his sleeves, and prepared to hit Tokito.

Tokito was someone who dared openly oppose a delinquent like Ryuen.

Naturally, Sudo's appearance was nowhere near enough to frighten him.

"Why are you getting angry?"

"I merely stated the truth."

"Everyone knows that Class D is filled with defective products!" Tokito continued mockingly.

When he saw Sudo's violent expression, Tokito quickly warned him.

"Don't hit me."

"Committing violence on school grounds should reduce your class points, right?"

"Oh, but Class D doesn't have any class points left to deduct."

"In other words, you might simply be expelled for attacking me."

Tokito's words intimidated Sudo.

This morning, basketball club president Odaishi Kai had told Sudo that he would soon become an official member of the team.

That was why Sudo had continued studying.

He did not want to be expelled for failing the midterm.

Suzune's eyebrows rose at Tokito's mockery.

She secretly gritted her teeth and stood, intending to let him experience her poisonous tongue.

However, what happened next left everyone dumbfounded.

Yuto kicked the back of Tokito's knees.

His knees buckled, and he dropped directly onto the library floor.

It looked as though Tokito were kneeling before Suzune and the others to apologize.

"Bastard! Who attacked me from behind?!"

Tokito endured the pain in his knees and hurriedly stood.

He turned around furiously.

"It's you... Shimizu Yuto!"

The moment Tokito saw Yuto, his fury transformed into panic and fear.

The students of Class C had an unforgettable impression of Shimizu Yuto.

This was the ruthless person who had lifted the delinquent Ryuen Kakeru and repeatedly slammed him into the floor.

Even Ryuen no longer dared casually provoke him!

"You just said everyone in Class D is defective."

"Do you have the courage to wager against this defective student?"

Yuto showed a refreshing smile.

"You may choose the competition."

"But whoever loses must withdraw from school."

A wager?

Who in this school would dare wager against the demon Shimizu Yuto now?

He seemed capable of doing everything and excelled at anything.

No matter what event they selected, they would not be able to defeat him.

Tokito could remain arrogant when facing Ryuen or Sudo.

But when facing Shimizu Yuto, his expression shifted between pale and dark.

All his earlier arrogance disappeared.

"Why aren't you saying anything?"

"Give me an answer, Class C lackey."

"Or are you afraid of a defective student from Class D?" Yuto asked with a raised eyebrow and cold smile.

"Hmph! I'm not wagering against you!"

"This is ridiculous!"

"And even if you act arrogantly, Shimizu Yuto, you're still the same as this red-haired gorilla."

"You're another defective student assigned to Class D by the school!"

Tokito pointed at the furious Sudo.

"Class D is the absolute bottom of this school!"

"That statement is genuinely laughable." Yuto smiled.

"Why would you think that?"

"Isn't it obvious? Everyone knows Class D—"

"Be quiet and listen to me."

Yuto interrupted Tokito.

"Everyone knows there is a Class D student who pinned Class C's leader, Ryuen Kakeru, to the floor and beat him while the entire class remained too afraid to say a word."

"Everyone knows there is a Class D student who challenged every club in the school and won until no one dared wager against him again."

"So don't assume every student in Class D is defective."

"If Class D's students are defective, wouldn't everyone defeated by a Class D student be worthless trash beneath even defective products?"

After saying that, Yuto looked around the library.

Students had gathered to watch because of Tokito and Sudo's argument.

When Yuto's gaze passed over them, the spectators instinctively looked away.

None dared meet his eyes.

Among the watching students, Yuto even noticed Ichinose Honami.

The girl with strawberry-blond hair seemed to notice him looking at her.

She smiled brightly and enthusiastically waved in greeting.

Yuto withdrew his gaze from Ichinose and looked at the frustrated Tokito, who could no longer answer.

"The four classes are ranked as A, B, C, and D according to their class points."

"Class D will soon catch up to your Class C."

"Your class will soon fall and become the new Class D."

"When that happens, I hope you continue insisting that Class D is filled with defective students at the bottom."

"Hmph! We'll see!"

Tokito snorted coldly, pushed through the surrounding students, and fled in embarrassment.

Once Tokito left, the spectators gradually dispersed.

Suzune approached Yuto, intending to thank him for resolving the situation.

However, Kikyo swiftly moved first and appeared in front of Yuto before Suzune could reach him.
