Chapter 118 - The Broad-Minded Official Girlfriend!

Chapter 118: The Broad-Minded Official Girlfriend!

[Kei, I'm sorry. I forgot our promise...]

[You don't need to apologize, Yuto. You were handling something important, right? But I'm still angry that you didn't reply to me!]

Kei sent the message with a sweet smile.

[I silenced my phone, so I didn't notice your messages.]

[I see. Then I forgive you! Let's study together tomorrow!]

[Okay.]

Fortunately, Kei was understanding enough to forgive Yuto for failing to return to the Class D classroom and study with her.

Yuto rubbed his hair.

He was beginning to understand the troubles of having multiple girlfriends...

No, the troubles of being a scumbag.

Walking beside him, Kikyo checked her own phone.

She looked up and asked sweetly, "Shimizu, why did you message me earlier?"

"Earlier? Oh, I needed something from you."

"What was it?"

"More precisely, Horikita Suzune asked me to request your help."

The moment she heard the name Horikita Suzune, Kikyo's smile vanished.

Her expression openly showed disgust and resistance.

Since Yuto already knew her dark history, she no longer needed to maintain her lovable little-angel persona around him.

"Why does that woman Horikita Suzune want my help?"

"It's about the study session for Sudo and the other two."

"She still intends to teach them, so she wants me to ask you to gather them again," Yuto casually explained.

"Hah."

Kikyo laughed coldly.

"With that arrogant and awful attitude, she drove everyone away."

"And she still has the nerve to ask me to gather those bastards again?"

"Bastards, huh..."

Yuto showed a subtle expression.

So that was Kikyo's evaluation of the foolish trio.

Indeed.

In Kikyo's eyes, Sudo Ken, Ike Kanji, and Yamauchi Haruki were all bastards.

Sudo was a violent, short-tempered bastard.

Ike and Yamauchi were lecherous and cowardly bastards.

If Kikyo did not need to maintain her cheerful and helpful persona, she would never have exchanged contact information with those three fools.

"If you don't want to help, I'll refuse Horikita for you," Yuto said.

"No. I'll help."

Kikyo showed a sweet smile.

"After all, I'm the kind and helpful Kushida Kikyo."

"...And your honest reason?"

"Hmph. I want to see how Horikita Suzune drives those three bastards away again."

"I also want to watch her argue with them."

Yuto helplessly shook his head.

Kikyo's fixation on Suzune was truly a little twisted.

"By the way, Kikyo, do you hate Horikita because she rejected your attempts to become friends?" Yuto asked.

Kikyo hesitated.

She did not particularly want to tell Yuto the reason.

But after remembering that she had already revealed her middle-school past to him, there was no point hiding it.

"Her repeated rejections do make me hate her, but that isn't the main reason."

"She attended the same middle school as me, although we were in different classes," Kikyo said quietly.

Yuto understood.

"You believe Horikita knows about your past, so you hate her."

"That's right!"

"I kept trying to build a good relationship with her because I was afraid she would reveal what happened in middle school..."

Yuto looked at Kikyo's gloomy and uneasy expression.

He lightly patted her chestnut-colored hair.

"Don't worry. I asked Horikita before, and she said she doesn't even know you."

"I don't believe that."

"She probably just hasn't remembered me yet."

"That incident became a huge scandal. The entire school knew I had thrown my class into chaos," Kikyo answered.

She firmly believed Suzune knew about her past.

"Honestly, your dark history isn't that frightening."

"Mine is far worse. Do you want to hear it?" Yuto asked with a smile.

"You have a dark past too?" Kikyo asked in surprise.

"Of course."

"I'll tell you mine as well. That way, you might feel more comfortable around me since we'll both know each other's secrets."

"...Are you sure?"

Kikyo was tempted.

If she learned Yuto's dark past, she would indeed feel more secure.

Right now, only Yuto held leverage over her through the secret of her middle-school years.

Kikyo had originally planned to threaten Yuto with the fingerprints on her uniform.

But that idea was no longer useful.

But now, she had already become Yuto's secret girlfriend. On the stairs, he had practically felt up her entire body.

The fingerprints on the school uniform were no longer a viable threat.

Now, Kikyo felt that the only thing she could use to threaten Yuto was her status as his girlfriend. After all, Yuto definitely wouldn't want Kei to find out she had become his girlfriend, would he?

Yuto glanced at Kikyo, who looked interested but was too embarrassed to say it directly.

He smiled.

"So, Kikyo, do you want to hear about my past?"

"I do."

Kikyo clasped her hands together and showed a sweet smile.

"I want to know more about you, Yuto. After all, I'm your girlfriend!"

"Two or three years ago, I nearly killed someone."

"Eh?!"

Kikyo's eyes widened.

She had not expected Yuto's past to be so shocking.

Compared to Yuto nearly killing someone, her history of throwing an entire class into chaos suddenly seemed insignificant.

Yuto raised an eyebrow at the startled Kikyo.

"Are you afraid?"

"I'm not!"

"I'm sure there was a reason behind it," Kikyo answered immediately.

Just like Kei, she wrapped her arms around Yuto's, pressing them firmly against her full, mature chest.

"Go on, Yuto, tell me more!"

"Mm."

Yuto nodded.

"There wasn't much of a complicated reason."

"Several delinquents broke into the school I attended and frightened my childhood friend."

"So I nearly took their lives."

"After that incident, everyone in the school became afraid of me."

"They acted as if I might suddenly lose control and kill them all," Yuto explained casually.

"In the end, the entire school rejected me."

"It's quite a coincidence. People at that school also called me a demon, just like they do here."

Afterward, everyone had isolated Yuto out of fear.

However, he had not cared much.

He had even enjoyed being alone.

"Yuto, was your childhood friend afraid of you too?" Kikyo quickly asked.

Yuto showed a gentle smile.

"No. Absolutely not."

If Airi had been afraid of Yuto, then someone as timid and shy as her would never have followed him to this school.

She would have run away and stayed as far from him as possible.

Kikyo was not entirely satisfied with his answer.

She could tell that his childhood friend held considerable weight in Yuto's heart.

That meant her rivals were not limited to Kei.

There was also this mysterious childhood friend.

Kikyo did not continue asking.

Had she persisted, she might have learned that the childhood friend attended this very school.

She was even in Class D.

...

Yuto and Kikyo walked together like ordinary close friends.

They ate dinner at the student cafeteria, then returned to the student dormitory.

Kikyo stopped at the entrance.

Kikyo stood at the entrance to the student dormitory. If other students weren't constantly coming and going, she would have wanted Yuto to give her a passionate kiss before heading upstairs.

"Oh, by the way, Yuto! That woman Kei has never been to your apartment, right? Let's have our dates there from now on!" Kikyo suggested excitedly.

'What a great idea!'

'Great my ass!'

'My official girlfriend, Airi, lives in that apartment!'

"No," Yuto said, shaking his head. His expression turned serious. "It's too far. The commute would waste too much time. If you want to go on secret dates with me, Kikyo, let's just use my dorm room. It's always empty, and it's close to where you live."

"But someone might discover us."

"You'll just need to be careful," Yuto said with a smile.

"Mm... Fine."

Kikyo thought for a moment and accepted his proposal.

From now on, their private meetings would take place in Yuto's unused dorm room.

The thought of sneaking into Yuto's dorm for intimate dates, hiding it from everyone—including Kei—filled Kikyo with a strange sense of excitement.

It felt like having an affair with a married man. How thrilling!

"Go upstairs. I should return home and rest too," Yuto said.

"Mm. See you tomorrow, Yuto."

"Okay. See you tomorrow."

Yuto said goodbye and turned away from the student dormitory.

Kikyo remained there and watched him leave.

Only after Yuto disappeared from sight did she enter the building.

Only after Yuto's figure had completely disappeared from sight did she turn and enter the building, her pale, slender fingers gently brushing against her own lips.

Recalling the warmth and acceptance Yuto had shown her here, Kikyo's body involuntarily softened.

"Yuto..."

At that moment, Kikyo's phone rang.

She thought Yuto had messaged her and happily took it out.

But her expression immediately became disgusted when she looked at the screen.

The message was not from Yuto.

As Class D's little angel, Kikyo received messages from people every day.

She could tolerate ordinary conversations that resembled exchanges between friends.

What she could not stand were the overly self-confident boys who indirectly mentioned being single or told her she perfectly matched their preferences.

Those conceited boys made Kikyo feel sick.

She skillfully dismissed them by saying she currently wanted to focus on studying and had no intention of finding a boyfriend.

...

Yuto returned to the detached apartment.

Chabashira's high heels were absent from the entrance.

She had probably already returned to the teachers' dormitory.

Airi was not in the living room.

After changing into indoor slippers and searching the apartment, Yuto found her studying in her bedroom.

The textbooks spread across the desk made it clear what she had been doing.

Airi looked toward the doorway from her chair.

Her pretty face immediately lit up.

"Yuto, you're back."

"Mm."

Yuto walked over to her and, meeting her joyful gaze, pressed a kiss to her smooth, fair cheek. "Airi, you're studying."

"Yes. My grades aren't particularly good."

"I need to study properly if I want good results in every subject," Airi said shyly.

"I'll teach you."

"Mm!"

After Yuto brought over another chair, Airi asked, "Didn't you say on Line that you had something to tell me?"

"What is it?"

"Uh... I'll tell you after you finish studying," Yuto answered subtly.

Airi tilted her head slightly.

"Is it something bad?"

"Are you afraid it will affect my mood and stop me from studying?"

"How should I put it?"

"It's good news for me, but it probably isn't good news for you."

"It really might affect your mood."

"But if you don't tell me now, I won't be able to focus on studying anyway."

"In that case, I'll tell you now."

Yuto took Sakura Airi's soft hand, cradling it in his palm. Her slender, fair fingers felt incredibly smooth to the touch.

Airi's heart fluttered with a mix of shyness and delight as Yuto gently toyed with her hand.

Though she couldn't understand why he was so fond of her hands and feet, she was simply happy that some part of her could bring him such pleasure.

"Something happened this afternoon..."

Yuto explained everything that had occurred.

He spoke while Airi quietly listened.

Finally, Yuto told her that Kikyo had become his girlfriend.

Yuto carefully watched Airi's expression.

Her pretty face showed only slight surprise.

There was no jealousy or dissatisfaction.

"Yuto, you previously told me that Kushida-san had another side."

"I didn't fully believe you then. I didn't expect it to be true."

"Airi, shouldn't the important part be that she became my girlfriend?"

Airi looked at Yuto, whose gaze had begun wandering awkwardly.

She smiled softly.

Afterward, her beautiful face flushed with a faint, seductive glow, Airi took the initiative to sit on Yuto's lap, leaning back into his embrace.

"Yuto, are you feeling guilty toward me?"

"Shouldn't I?"

"I already had you, yet I still kept attracting other girls."

Airi spoke softly.

"But wasn't I the one who encouraged you?"

"Whether it was Karuizawa-san or Kushida-san, I was the one who encouraged you to accept their feelings."

After hearing Airi say that, Yuto suddenly felt that it made far too much sense.
