"With my dear wife constantly reminding me, how could I forget?" Mark Reed turned off the projector's power, wrapped one arm around Valentine Teller, and leaned on his cane as they slowly entered the house.
Lying in bed, unable to sleep, Valentine Teller quietly got out of bed, went downstairs, and took out her phone from her bag. To her surprise, there were twenty-six missed calls and two text messages, all from Turstin Muller.
[Valentine, why aren't you answering my calls?]
[I heard you were kidnapped, are you hurt? Please reply to my message, okay?]
[Can you come out for a bit? I'm waiting for you at Costria Park.]
Valentine glanced outside the house; when did it start drizzling? Was Turstin still waiting for her at Costria Park?
He wouldn't be so foolish as not to find shelter from the rain, would he?
