Jiminie woke up in an empty bed.
It was not supposed to be surprising since he had been going to bed and waking up alone, but this particular day hurt a little bit.
The memories of the previous night still lingered. His body ached, not to mention he felt like he had been ripped through more than once. He couldn't even lift his head without feeling it was about to be slit into endless pieces.
Jiminie felt his heart sink into his stomach.
"Fuck," the alpha sighed as he looked around him, all traces of Agust gone.
Granted, he wasn't even sure if Agust had made it to his chambers, but who else would have brought him back here and put him to bed? What had Jiminie been expecting, though?
Or maybe he had been too trapped in the illusion of what had happened between them that he had made the mistake of thinking they were worth something this time. Maybe it was just another dream, one that the alpha had leaned into so hopefully.
