Amanda looked at the phenomena in front of her with wide eyes and shocked expression on her face as what had just happened in front of her was absurd or something that was seen only in the movies and fictions.
She was a realistic woman, she didn't even believe in ghosts. So, seeing her son's hand covered in golden scales and his fingers turning into something resembling claws with black sharp nails, yeah this was so absurd.
'What in the world is happening?' She thought as she extended her hand slowly and touched the scales.
'It's hard and tough like metal.'
She felt that it could even break knives or that if a truck hit it, it would survive, but she didn't know its full capabilities.
These are scales of a dragon king, a very powerful and tough armor that could block nearly anything in the universe.
Then comes the nails, just by looking at them, they looks so sharp that they seem to cut anything like a hot knife with butter.
'They are so sharp.' Amanda thought as she touched the nails and felt how strong and sharp they were.
After touching them a little more, she pulled her hand back and looked up at her son who had a warm and calm eyes looking back at her.
She then glanced back at his hand before remembering how it transformed in front of her, it looked so magical that her mind refused to believe, but it happened in front of her eyes.
Headache began affecting her mind the more she thought about the absurdity of what had happened that she massaged the area between her eyes.
"You don't need to think that hard about it, mom. Just take it slowly."
Sigh!
"I'm trying honey, but you know how I am." She said with a sigh before feeling Austin's warm hand on her hair caressing it tenderly making her feel calm and warm. She likes it when he does it.
"I know, so take it easy because what I will show you next might blow up your mind." He said with a slightly teasing tone making Amanda sigh again at his antics. But she didn't know that after a while, she would be devastated or more like on the verge of breaking.
After a while, she calmed down and decided to accept that her son could turn his hand into something resembling the reptile creatures.
Dragons are reptiles too, no?
"Ready?" He said as his scaly hand turned back to normal under her watchful gaze.
She took a deep breath before looking at him and nodded.
"Show me."
Austin nodded before he tapped on her forehead softly with his hand making her close her eyes instinctively, but didn't feel any pain before suddenly, a flood of information entered her mind.
She closed her eyes to be able to process it. Many scenes played back in her mind.
From the day that Austin met Freya to what he had been through in the Taimanin world, many emotions and feelings flooded her body as she felt the deep anger and sadness that her son felt at the time when his wife died.
She shuddered and felt like crying for him as she didn't like it at all, feeling the sadness and anger overflowing him.
But what surprised her was how much anger her felt at that time. Austin never got angry at all since he was born, so seeing him getting this angry made her surprised and shuddered, but not out of fear but of worry, she didn't want his anger to consume him and do things that he might not be aware of.
Because when someone is angry, he can do anything and won't be aware of it until he calms down and think clearly.
In state of anger, humans don't differentiate between allies and enemies.
More and more memories of his adventures and moments with his wives, how much he loved them and how much he cared for them and would anything for them even if it meant destroying the whole world, played in her mind.
Amanda felt her obsession and possessiveness taking over her when saw all of that, she clenched her hands tightly until they turned white, but then feeling his warm hands on hers calmed her down and when opening her eyes she saw how much love and warmth it contained for his wives.
'Ah...'
At this moment, she knew that her son wouldn't be hers alone, he can't stay beside her forever and belong to her for he loved his wives so much that he was ready to do anything for them.
Even if it was sacrificing he—
"Don't ever think about it, I won't ever let you go and be alone again. Remember what I said to you before back in Canada and on the plane?" He said looking deep into her crimson moist eyes that already had tears in them.
"B-but you love them! And would anything for them, right?" She said with shaky voice as tears poured down from her eyes while trembling, wanting to know his answer.
Silence filled the place and looked so painful for her, she was afraid of his answer though she knew it already.
"Yes, I will do anything for them, even if it was burning the whole world to ashes." His gaze held a very strong pride and resolve that shocked her to the core and made her feel like her heart was crumbling.
She didn't want to hear it, no one bit.
Yeah, she loved her son immorally since he was young. Yes, she wanted him to hold her and embrace her and feel his warmth. And although she had a husband, she didn't love him at all.
Her son was the only man she needed in her life, his kinks and weird antics made her day, she was already afraid of the day when he would marry another woman and leave her, she didn't wish for it, didn't want it.
Never.
But mow hearing it from her son's mouth made her feel like falling apart completely forgetting what he had said earlier.

'I hate it, I hate it, I HATE IT ALL! I DIDN'T WANT THIS! I DIDN'T WISH FOR THIS! NEVER HOPED FOR THIS DAY TO COME AT ALL!' She screamed inwardly while trembling with tears staining her face and making her look like a mess.
She felt like the world was crumbling in her eyes.
Everything taken away from her, just like that.
'WHY?! WHY THE WORLD IS SO CRUEL TO ME?! WASN'T IT ENOUGH TAKING AWAY MY FATHER AND MOTHER?! AND NOW WANT TO TAKE MY SON AWAY FROM ME, THE MAN I LOVED WITH ALL MY HEART?!' She kept screaming inwardly feeling completely shattered.
While Austin felt his heart being torn piece by piece seeing her like that. This was the thing that he hated the most, making his loved ones feel sad like that.
Although it was necessary for her to accept everything and get ride of this extreme possessiveness in her.
But one thing for sure, he won't let his mother go away for he already deiced that she will be his forever.
If him in the past was so reluctant and refused this kind of relationship. The him of now is very willing and determined to make her his woman.
'No one is taking her away, never!'
