she worked day and night to pay those debt, because of that she had to sometimes leave lena at the missionary home sometimes and come late in the night to take her
Lena was 8years when her dad died and she had see her mom suffer, Mariah got tired so she ran away from the place but Don was one not to mess with, his men ran after her

When she arrived at that school she knew where she was coming from so she was on her best behavior, she was sitting alone when Clara came to her and they became friends clara was bullied at school

"Here she's, she's on scholarship and comes from a poor background, she doesn't have any parents too so you can do whatever you want to her and no one will care" clara said to the seniors and they laughed

"You're not sorry, you're disgusting for your age and I am too for this" Lena said and reported to the school authorities, those girls were expelled but things became worse the students didn't want to get involved with her because a friend to those seniors expelled spread rumors that her friends didn't do anything to her but she got them expelled and everyone should stay away from her if they don't want to be expelled but she was even fine with it, she wanted to just graduate and help her mom out
