Not far ahead, Enna Clark heard a familiar voice.
"Get out of my way, I need to see your President Lawrence!"
It seemed like Wendy Hanson's voice.
Then came the receptionist's voice denying her, "I'm sorry, Ms. Hanson. You can't go in without an appointment."
"What kind of relationship with your president needs an appointment? Move!"
Enna could hardly believe her ears. In her memory, Wendy Hanson was supposed to be the gentle and graceful type. She remembered the first time she saw Wendy Hanson, standing out in elegance compared to her childish cousin.
Words this willful would likely come from her cousin, not Wendy Hanson.
The receptionist responsibly stopped her, still refusing entry, "Sorry Ms. Hanson, according to the rules, the president only meets with people who have appointments. You don't have an appointment, so we can't let you in."
